I remember when he said " I'm the doctor, I'm 903 years old, and I'm the man that's going to save your lives and the millions on the planet below " with this music in the background. It always gives me hope and makes me cry. ;_;
the episode "Turn Left" made me cry at school for three hours. when they carried the doctor out on the stretcher, and he dropped his sonic screwdriver ;_;
I love David Tennant. He made the show brilliant. he gave- and still gives- me hope. He brings me joy. He makes me more grateful for what i have. He will always be my doctor. I love David Tennant... But then again... Don't we all?
I like David Tennant and I loved him as The Doctor back when he was The Doctor and he's still lovely when I revisit him but recently I've been getting increasingly fed up with his Doctor for some reason. He seems too smug among other things... it's odd. Sad thing is I don't want to not like his Doctor. He's not my favourite Doctor (Though I don't full on have a favourite, just an incarnation at hand to list if I'm asked. Which would be 4) but he was part of my childhood along with Eccleston, I loved him then and I still love him as The Doctor more or less now. So to stop liking him would just be upsetting. :/
Because that is who the Doctor is. He will make you laugh. He will make you cry. He is just one man, but has lived the lives of more than a dozen. He will always be that one legend that will always live in our hearts.
People Complain about Doctor who never being the same after 12, but that's the point. The show has changed and different people love different eras. My grandpa watched until the fifth doctor and claimed that Peter Davison ruined it. I love all the Doctors 12 especially. My best friend only really loves New Who. No Doctor (or writer) truly ruined Who, they just brought it in a different direction and that's ok.
8? What about the Robin hood one and the moon being an egg. I feel series 4 and 5 were more consistent than it. Every series has some awful episodes except maybe 4 though.
Neil Cross and Neil Gaiman are the respective writers of those stories. I believe they should both write more episodes for Doctor Who with Clara in the lead.
This song makes me remember all that made Tennant great. And it's good to see people are FINALLY starting to like Smith for who he is, as opposed to who he isn't.
i think its like an unwritten law they cannot regenerate more than 13 times but the master broke this rule, i remember something to that effect being said in the Paul McGann Movie
Fair enough, he had a dark moment in the waters of Mars and he was reluctant to save Wilfred in The End of Time. But it was like he said, he had lived too long, he was scared enough of regeneration and it was hard for him to step up when it was a choice. (Inbefore5th/9thDoctorargument) I don't see Tennant as 'my doctor' just because he's everyones favourite as was Baker, but because I really saw Tennant as the perfect guy for the role at the time and he was given some of the best stories.
I believe no matter how young or old the actor/actress is to play the Doctor, it goes to show the character of the Doctor is always and will be forever
this one always makes me think of the hitch hikers guide intro.. but it is the one bit of music that reminds me how much fun DW was when Tennant was there..
He's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night and the storm in the heart of the sun. He's ancient and forever. He burns at the centre of time and can see the turn of the universe. and... he's wonderful.
@SinDawg030 Loved that scene. It gets me as soon as it shows the Doctor and Martha standing there, with Martha putting the Doctor's poppy on, its at the point, I let the tears out. Beautiful, they came back, to remember him.
This boy's voice sounds like little Lattimer from The Family of Blood who said "He's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night and the storm in the heart of the sun..."
Yeah, I was reluctant to watch the new Doctor at first (I was literally in love with Tennant, been watching him for a really long time since my dad first brought random DVDs home) but now I love him :3
so many memories. I meen u read these comments and just scroll past but it's true. That feeling inside of nostalgia but it's more than that. It's phenomenal
'A man is the sum of his memories. A time lord even more so.' -5th Doctor. So long as The Doctor remembers his past incarnations he is still The Doctor.
I just finished watching this episode. Loved the music at the end. And Tim made me cry with happiness. (Please don't bombard me with hateful messages if I got the epi wrong)
I agree. Give Matt a chance, people. He really is adorable and awesome, in his own way. He's not trying to be David's version of the Doctor, he's acting his version.
I don't know who Clara is (yet), but I started with Eccleston's doctor first and watched in order. I like all of them really close personality wise, I just find it easier to like the 10th over the others because of how much longer we knew him, and his transition (as you mentioned) from a bright and happy doctor to a darker and almost power mad doctor. It was just so well damn done.
Yes, I totally agree! I loved Rings of Akhaten for that particular reason, as well as Hide and Nightmare in Silver. Hopefully now that her mystery is over, we can get some clever character times.
In my opinion, no other Doctor can hold a candle to 10. They're all great and I'm not just saying that because I'm some huge Tennant fan. 10 was amazing in the role and in my opinion was one of the most selfless Doctors so far.
Well said. Personally I like the 10th more than the 9th or 11th for a couple reasons: - His personality was more fleshed out and "friendly" than the others. - His stories carried over from before, I feel like series 5, 6, and I'm assuming 7 (haven't seen yet) are almost another redux of the 2005 series, short of a couple references to the previous series. - The Master.
It has a great load of references to Classic Who, something that besides Sarah Jane Smith, the RTD era didn't nearly have as much. And there are plenty of references if you look closely, its just that Moffat doesn't want to look back too much, for fear likely that no one will be able to move on from past companions and Doctors and accept that its the past.
He'll never stop. The Doctor fixes problems. The Doctor causes problems. As long as the Doctor lives, he will keep on running and running. He'll always be saving somebody. He'll always be hurting somebody. You may ask "What about when there's nobody left to save? Nowhere left to run?" but the truth is, the Doctor will keep running, and he'll keep saving people. He doesn't find a way. He makes a way. He is the way. He is the Doctor. The Doctor forever, and if he ever grabs your hand, you better believe you'll be running for the rest of your life.
"When you start this New World, this World of Human and Hath. Remember that, MAKE THE FOUNDATION OF THIS SCICIOTY, A MAN WHO NEVER WOULD!" -or- "It's never forgotten Calculus, oh time will pass and stories will fade but one day, Pompei will be found again. For thousands of years."
"I never would. Have you got that? I. Never. Would! When you start this new world- this world of Human and Hath- remember that! Make the FOUNDATION OF THIS SOCIETY, A MAN WHO NEVER WOULD!"
Unless the Forgotten Doctor is actually the Valeyard. The Valeyard is mentioned in the very same episode. The Valeyard possibly escaped into the TARDIS from the Matrix, as it was linked to the TARDIS, explaining both his presence in The Name of The Doctor and the voice - "Silence will fall" during the Pandorica period. The Valeyard gave up the name of the Doctor for the Valeyard. The outfit could, of course, mean he had to choose clothing the TARDIS had made available in the databanks.
@TheBullTerierdog Think of it more as a theme for the Doctor and Martha's adventures! Also World War I as well. Human Nature/Family of Blood really hit the spot for the whole "We Will Remember Them" feeling I get during November

i think David is prob the best overall doctor, but he also benefited from slightly better writing, editing, and a GREAT score/soundtrack that the 11th doesnt have.
i liked all the doctors i don't know why people have to hate all the others (well meybe not hate but you get the point) i mean, even if you did meet the doctor it's one in a million he's gonna look like that!
But that was because the poison she'd used would have killed him outright, with no chance of regeneration. She had to use all her lives to save him (still not certain why she did...). So I don't think he gained extra lives. Eeeyup.
the episode "Turn Left" made me cry at school for three hours. when they carried the doctor out on the stretcher, and he dropped his sonic screwdriver ;_;
Common Logic haha yeah ^-^' but you get where I'm going
I love David Tennant.
He made the show brilliant. he gave- and still gives- me hope.
He brings me joy.
He makes me more grateful for what i have.
He will always be my doctor.
I love David Tennant... But then again... Don't we all?
Not really. He's one of my least favourite Doctors.
Mine are 11, 2, 4, 1 and 7, more or less in that order.
Heh xP
I like David Tennant and I loved him as The Doctor back when he was The Doctor and he's still lovely when I revisit him but recently I've been getting increasingly fed up with his Doctor for some reason. Well i rewatched more of him and loved him even more. He just brings more emotion.
Is it just me or did series 3 have the best soundtrack?
Mirror Pinkie I think so too. I love the series 3 soundtrack^^.
I like "I am the Doctor" in series 5
Because that is who the Doctor is. He will make you laugh. He will make you cry. He is just one man, but has lived the lives of more than a dozen. He will always be that one legend that will always live in our hearts.
:') Que lindo, la leyenda del señor del tiempo...
Hannah Blanchsky You're right!
***** That's the greatest compliment that I've ever gotten in my life. Thank you so much. :')
Hannah Blanchsky You most certainly deserve a high compliment for a well-crafted comment :)
+Hannah Blanchsky No ma'am...more than thirteen..
Wait, that is more than a dozen....dag nabbit!
ah I miss the good old days.
Yes. Oh yes. He will be my doctor forever. Always. And then Matt. I mean ya gotta admit. Bowties. Are. Cool. But David. Oh David. I miss you so much.
Brings back one of my favorite eras of Who. I love all the Doctors (yes, even that one) but Tennant will always be how I fell in love with the show.
+RassilonTDavros That one is smith?
+AthosJosue it's whoever you want it to be
Matolly For me is Smith, I don't like it, but that is the best thing about this show, it has a doctor for everyone.
+AthosJosue for me, it's capaldi
+AthosJosue smith is the cutest person ever
People Complain about Doctor who never being the same after 12, but that's the point. The show has changed and different people love different eras. EnergeticFailtastrophe Thank you finally someone who gets it.
Elizabeth Smith apart crom the senior staff at the bbc who hated the show in the 1980's
This is more relevant than ever with some people's reactions to the casting of Thirteen.
Thank you!
Fuck 13, absolutely aweful
Season 3 of the revival has the best soundtrack of all Who, honestly.
SamyulDavis and some of the best episodes
Nerdy Dude42 Definitely. Along with S8, has some of the best consistent episodes on the record IMO
8? What about the Robin hood one and the moon being an egg. I feel series 4 and 5 were more consistent than it. Every series has some awful episodes except maybe 4 though.
Joe Cromarty the doctors daughter is pretty bad Ngl
I don't know, The Song of Freedom from season 4 was probably the best thing they came up with.
David will always be *MY* doctor! Such a kind and talented man. And his smile is just adorable! I miss him, bring him back plz!
Sence you got your wish. How do you feel about it?
0:25 - If I were singing that, my throat would die.
Goodbye to the best doctor, may your legacy live on forever
4:04 is my absolute favorite part. The Doctor is special, he's totally different and I think that part of the piece really shows it off well.
great vocals from both solo artist and choir, great music from orchestra.....just GREAT
FINALLY found it.
This song is so amazing good, the best of Tennant's Doctor put to music!
Neil Cross and Neil Gaiman are the respective writers of those stories. I believe they should both write more episodes for Doctor Who with Clara in the lead.
when it got to about 2.20 i thought of tennents cheeky smile and it made me remember the epicness
If there's one thing I like about NuWho, it's the soundtrack
This song makes me remember all that made Tennant great.
And it's good to see people are FINALLY starting to like Smith for who he is, as opposed to who he isn't.
The time lord has such adventures but he could never have a life like that
i think its like an unwritten law they cannot regenerate more than 13 times but the master broke this rule, i remember something to that effect being said in the Paul McGann Movie
i love this song so much
Favorite doctor who song. Ever.
"He's completely insane"
"That, and a bit magnificent!"
This music is played on:
Gridlock
The Family Of Blood
The Fires Of Pompeii
Also on Blink, and it's one of the best soundtracks as I think.
IZED That's true.
IZED And there was a snippet on Day of the Doctor
This is pretty much an alternative 10th Doctor theme.
***** the latter half also played in partners in crime. Let's just say from series 3 onwards this was a theme associated with the doctor.
I feel all the feels
Fair enough, he had a dark moment in the waters of Mars and he was reluctant to save Wilfred in The End of Time. But it was like he said, he had lived too long, he was scared enough of regeneration and it was hard for him to step up when it was a choice. Sean Naylor well said.
this one always makes me think of the hitch hikers guide intro.. but it is the one bit of music that reminds me how much fun DW was when Tennant was there..
2:19 * shivers * The Drums..
+TenthDoctor Here come the drums!
He's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night and the storm in the heart of the sun.
He's ancient and forever. He burns at the centre of time and can see the turn of the universe.
and... he's wonderful.
@SinDawg030

my favourite line of any show or movie, ever
_I love it! I've got CHILLS! Listen, seriously, I mean this from the heart, and uh, by the way, count those._
*sighs* your uploads are SUCH good quality! thank you!
Yeah, I was reluctant to watch the new Doctor at first (I was literally in love with Tennant, been watching him for a really long time since my dad first brought random DVDs home) but now I love him :3
@daleksvscybermen That made my day. Truly. Thank you for being awesome.
so many memories. I meen u read these comments and just scroll past but it's true. That feeling inside of nostalgia but it's more than that. It's phenomenal
This song is played on:
The Family Of Blood
The Fires Of Pompeii
I love how lots of doctor who music is the same melody with a great twist on each version.
This is one of my favourite pieces on the show :D
'A man is the sum of his memories. A time lord even more so.' -5th Doctor. So long as The Doctor remembers his past incarnations he is still The Doctor.
2.00 nice!
Wow this is a lot like Martha's theme. Beautiful, of course.
Murray you are A GENIUS!!!!!
ooh this is so pretty! im content, all the songs i liked int his episode are part of the soundtrack x)
God, I miss Ten.
I just finished watching this episode. Loved the music at the end. And Tim made me cry with happiness. (Please don't bombard me with hateful messages if I got the epi wrong)
back when the episodes of Doctor Who actually meant something -_-
+MysticalWhovian Chelsea after the 12th doctor, the show nape been the same
the music for doctor who is like the cherry on top to make it great :D
This is the song I was looking for!!! Shoulda known it was "The Doctor Forever"
I don't know about you all, but I started to cry like a baby at this song.........
best part 0:00-1:57
Oh, dear, I'm starting to cry...
I just got the chills listening to this.
That was FANTASTIC. :D
I agree. Give Matt a chance, people. He really is adorable and awesome, in his own way. He's not trying to be David's version of the Doctor, he's acting his version.
You, good sir or lady, have won the internet. And everything else.

Yes, I totally agree! I loved Rings of Akhaten for that particular reason, as well as Hide and Nightmare in Silver. Hopefully now that her mystery is over, we can get some clever character times.
the part starting at 3:35 reminds me of the Tron song "Outlands II"
Sounds great ! :D
Loved the gridlock science where he jumped through all of the cars
In my opinion, no other Doctor can hold a candle to 10. They're all great and I'm not just saying that because I'm some huge Tennant fan. 10 was amazing in the role and in my opinion was one of the most selfless Doctors so far.

"The Doctor Forever" indeed...
Have to agree with you though, 9 deserved way more attention, he was fantastic. ;)
Caedo loved the pun
It has a great load of references to Classic Who, something that besides Sarah Jane Smith, the RTD era didn't nearly have as much. And there are plenty of references if you look closely, its just that Moffat doesn't want to look back too much, for fear likely that no one will be able to move on from past companions and Doctors and accept that its the past.
Goosebumps
My favorite inspiration song..
Only the Doctor himself would hate the Doctor so much that he'd push the dislike button on this awesome music.
Now THAT, is a genius idea!
Gridlock-- favorite episode
He'll never stop. The Doctor fixes problems. The Doctor causes problems. As long as the Doctor lives, he will keep on running and running. He'll always be saving somebody. I want this soundtrack back for series 7!!
This is a quote from the Doctor.
"When you start this New World, this World of Human and Hath. Remember that, MAKE THE FOUNDATION OF THIS SCICIOTY, A MAN WHO NEVER WOULD!"
-or-
"It's never forgotten Calculus, oh time will pass and stories will fade but one day, Pompei will be found again. For thousands of years."
rofl calculus, I think you mean caecillius.
starseb21
Yeah that, thanks.
*society
Perfect for writing my own alien story for my writing competition :-D
How did the writing competition go?
@@kitkat1321 I got a good review :-) but didn't win anything :-(
David Tennant and Tom Baker were by far the best doctors
Awesome
"I never would. Have you got that? I. Never. Would!
When you start this new world- this world of Human and Hath- remember that! Make the FOUNDATION OF THIS SOCIETY, A MAN WHO NEVER WOULD!"
great music, murray gold makes magic in music.
P.S. like "MAGIC"
Also played in Blink
+maide tezcan Late reply, I know, but I'm digging your Faith in Buffy's body avatar.
@TheBullTerierdog Think of it more as a theme for the Doctor and Martha's adventures! Also World War I as well. Human Nature/Family of Blood really hit the spot for the whole "We Will Remember Them" feeling I get during November
its the same character but each one has a slightly differant personality (which is what keeps it fresh)
:D
0:57 Shivers
Oh yes!!!
Exactly what I've been thinking.
I'ts like if your husband or wife, who you really love, dies. When somone else comes along, you never see them for who they really truly are. They can be every bit as amazing as the one before, but you never see that untill months or even years later.
Everyone knows Matt Smith is an incredible Doctor, but they're blinded because 10 others came first, so they just can't say it yet.
this music makes you wish for a spaceship to travel into other galaxies to meet new races and civilizations
i think David is prob the best overall doctor, but he also benefited from slightly better writing, editing, and a GREAT score/soundtrack that the 11th doesnt have.
i liked all the doctors i don't know why people have to hate all the others (well meybe not hate but you get the point) i mean, even if you did meet the doctor it's one in a million he's gonna look like that!
If doctor who gets cancled again but this time forever i will cry for ages on end
@daleksvscybermen haha that is awesome. Long live the Doctor!
But that was because the poison she'd used would have killed him outright, with no chance of regeneration. She had to use all her lives to save him (still not certain why she did...). So I don't think he gained extra lives.
But given that he's now the last Time Lord, maybe there's more regenerational energy (would also explain why his regenerations are more violent in New Who) so he gets more regenerations?
It's because (Spoilers. Hehe!) of the forgotten Doctor - an incarnation of the Doctor that did something so bad that his other incarnations no longer consider him to be the Doctor. Matt Smith was the 11th, that we saw onscreen, but somewhere between what we've seen happen within the show, there was a regeneration that has been forgotten - and was not counted. So even though Matt Smith is 11, he's actually 12 because of the character played by John Hurt.
1:47 Hear a slight bit of The Face of Boe's theme! :)
Same here. I used to LOVE Tennant (don't get me wrong, still do), but then Smith came along...
I'm not saying it was not part of the tracks used for the tenth doctor's reign, but it was only used for Martha, not the doctor
