DONNA: Ready? And reverse. DOCTOR: Off you go Clom. METACRISIS DOCTOR: Back home, Adipose Three! DONNA: Shallacatop, Pyrovillia and the Lost Moon of Poosh. Sorted. Ha! METACRISIS DOCTOR: HA! DOCTOR: We need more power. ROSE: Is anyone going to tell us what’s going on? DONNA: He poured all his regeneration energy into his spare hand. I touched the hand, and he grew out of that but that fed back into me. But it just stayed dormant, in my head till the synapses got that little extra spark, kicking them into life. Thank you Davros! Part human, part Time Lord, and I got the best bit of the Doctor, I got his mind. SARAH: So there’s three of you? ROSE: Three Doctor’s? JACK: *I can’t tell you what I’m thinking right now.* Such a great scene :,)
I associate it with the scene in 42 when the doctor is bringing the escape pod back into the ship, then later in the song with the scene in sound of drums where they find a bomb in Martha's flat.
Cause there's one thing you shouldn't have done, you shouldn't let me press all those bottons. BUT, in fairness I'll give one word of advise, run. ( evil smile )
Its not just 10.Same goes for 11 and 12.Murray Gold still hasn't lost his touch.I hope he never leave doctor who.I can't imagine someone else doing the soundtrack
_”There are some corners of the universe which have bred the most terrible things. Things which act against everything we believe in.”_ *”They Must be Fought.”*
10s theme is itself quite a sad piece, meaning this one often played at the more exciting/heroic moments. I Am the Doctor was written more as an exciting/heroic theme in and of itself.
Oh, I scrambled through a test or 4, GED, dove in shouting Geronimo, looping that through my head, passed bare minimum, with the social studies blasted far out. And those who come to me asking for a doctor, you don't want to know.
"There are things waiting in the darkness. Creatures of metal, fire and blood. But he's out there, burning through time, facing a thousand dangers across the stars and never giving up. He looks like a man but he's a legend and his name is the Doctor. He'll come back to save us and this time I'm going to be ready. Then just like that... We'll be gone."
Somehow, this theme has to come back during the 13th Doctor Era. For me, this is the epitome of what Doctor Who is: funny, adventurous, a bit dangerous and makes you feel like you are on the run!
she was... blonde what did she say? i.. dont know Donna, what did she say?! wait.. she said... two words.. well what are they? what are the two words? ... Bad wolf...What does that mean? ...Doctor, what does that mean?
doctor who music, isnt just music. its music that sends you through a time vortex of memories and emotion. its hypnotic, its poetic. the beat of a drum can send you spiralling into an endless abyss of emotions.
I feel the need to run listening to this piece, preferably with a long flowing trench coat ad maybe a sonic tool of some kind in hand perhaps with that sonic tool carrying hand outstretched in the lead of my body.
It's the main theme for series three, so it plays in every single teaser. The opening is identical to "Westminster Bridge" from Series One, but this was original to the third series.
I have been looking for "aLL the strange, strange creatures" for ever and i did not know the name of the song you have helped me to find it THANK YOU SIR/MA'AM
I totally agree with you! I haven't grown up with old Who (actually, I haven't grown up with Who at all, they rarely broadcast Doctor Who on TV here in Italy, and it's always dubbed (blah.)), but I did watch many episodes of it, and it was awesome. I'm not sure why people don't take their time to at least try to watch Classic Who...
OH MY GOD! I FOUND IT!!! I keep hearing this in every battle/war scene in Doctor Who and i've been trying to FIND IT AND HERE IT IS THANK YOU!! AND IN SUCH HIGH QUALITY TOO!
I love the name of this song. Like, I want to write a book where crazy intense crap goes down like all the time and call it All The Strange, Strange Creatures. Of course, I can't because this song, but still. XD
I don't know. There are several different songs by different artists with the same name. I've noticed it sometimes when I've been looking for a particular song
Sweetie, I'm the furthest thing possible from a hipster and I love the original Doctor Who because I grew up with it. To this day, Tom Baker is still my favorite Doctor, although Matt Smith definately holds a great deal of my affection these days. I promise you, Old Who is more than worth the time to watch. Do yourself a favor and delve into the history of this wonderful series.
Fuer tennant war es die beste rolle und er selbst war immer dr who fan. Danke an ihm fuer so eine tolle rolle als doctor. Meine therapie und mein grund zu fragen- war das unfreundlich- :-) see you in the specials maybe
I have to admit that my favorite Doctor is the tenth. However, that is not to say that any of the others are even remotely unworthy. Thus far, the show has nailed the casting every time, and I've loved every Doctor I've seen so far. Hopefully Doctor 12, whoever he will be and whenever he comes along, will be just as good as his predecessors. All 11 of them. Also...since this is what this video is about...AWESOME song!
(btw, emotional depth of a character is not how much it makes you cry, but how much you can RELATE to it, and find his action BELIEVABLE under the same circumstances, according to his psychological profile)
This is what I mean, what happened, Murray? i miss the music that characterized each character, predicted times and gave them an air of mystery, excitement, sadness, suspense, hope all at the same time, much darker. Now the music sounds like a very epic but no emotion. a big failure music season 8.
I always look for this under series 4, as whenever i hear it, i'm thinking of the bit at the end of Turn Left, when the Doctor looks around and sees bad wolf written everywhere. That will always be the biggest memory for me for this piece of music
It's nice though that you still appreciate him. A lot of people just dislike him because they dislike Moffat. Who is a genius, according to me. I do prefer Moffat over Davies, even though I loved Davies; but Moffat is just...too awesome and crazy and unbelievable in every way. :)
Two words: Donna Noble. She was the best friend he had since Sarah Jane, a true conscience for him. He treated her like an equal, and she longed him not for his face or personality (unlike Rose or Martha), but for what he represented, the whole of the universe outside her life. He was so emotionally scarred by his inability to "save" that part of her that he almost deranged in defying the laws of time to score at least a victory...to reaffirm himself...depth of character level: bottomless pit
Love this theme! I actually just discovered Dr. Who not too long ago (The renewal that is, I never watched the original ones, rest assured, I'll get to those) Anyways, just finished the 3rd series today. Now I'm reading these comments about 11 and all I can think is "But 10...I...I don't want you to go! :'( "
Blasted through a GED test with this running through memory, passed it in sheer Doctor/Rick Sanchez mode. No preparation, no weapons, not even a sonic.
@nolanMF Agreed. Tennant's Doctor has such depth of character, he's so real! The way he goes from laughing to ranting to saving the world and back to having a good time is great to watch. Plus, you can really tell that every single death weighs on him, which is a crucial part of the Doctor's character. #10 forever!
I would've disagreed with you until a couple of weeks ago when I saw that fantastic speech by Smith in The Rings of Akhaten. Totally leveled the playing field between Tennant and Smith, IMO. And Moffat most definitely can do emotion; look at Girl in the Fireplace! Plus, Moffat's is great at writing story arcs.
Wish we had more episodes where he realizes he's the master BEFORE he changes. Such a great storyline and theme. Doctor who after david and Rtd cannot compare
And sometimes the memories aren't even all intact! Each of the Doctors had some kind of memory loss, but some worse than others. Look at the poor 8th Doctor for example! Poor guy!
And that was the point i tried to prove. I started to like Smith more as the plot behind his acting got more refined, matured in a way, and i truly enjoyed the stories with Clara, that seemed to go back to the old format (story arc, mistery of the week, actual time/dimensional travel involved, emotions built instead of imposed). Plot holes are still there, sometimes, but at least now the characters are more convincing, act more naturally instead of delivering one-liner just for the sake of them.
I don't think he can. But he was definitely AMAZING, and I wish he could. He was my favourite Master (although I appreciate all the actors in their own right).
I love all the incarnations of the Doctor. I personally think that people can have favourites. That's all right. My favourite is David Tennant's Doctor. I was so sad when he "died" but I accepted it. You may all have a favourite but you can never say that a doctor should stay the same forever. they need to regenerate and i have no idea why im saying all this stuff
Yep. Everyone has a favorite. Before the series renewal, I'm sure people argued "the best doctor" from 1-8 over and over again. And when 11 dies (*experiences pre-feels and sobs*), I'm sure there will be people who hate 12 and say how much better 11 was. I cried when 9 died and cursed 10 for several episodes before I fell in love with him. It's taken me a bit longer to stop hating 11, but I'm just sort of used to him now. He's still The Doctor, even if he's a bit more goofy than the last two.
@nolanMF Each Regeneration of the Doctor is a reaction to the last experiences of the Doctor. At least it is that way with the new series. Rose happened to 9, 10 came out emotional from the help she gave him. Then people started dying constantly around him. Companions would leave and put him all alone. Then 11. He is built to not want to remember it all. He doesn't want to deal with it. You can see it clear as day. So his eccentric nature took over.

You can hear little elements that would later be more prominent in the Eleventh Doctor's theme. Neat.
i guess that's why i always thought this was part of 11's era but then i rewatched and heard this
meow46 It's used about one and a half times in Eleven's era. Almost all of its usage is in Ten's era.
Arkatox Which episode in elevens?
3 months late but it plays in the weeping angel spaceship
@@bouncecat596 Also used a bit in Time of the Doctor
I always associate this song with the moment Donna came back from the alternate universe and told Ten "Bad Wolf"
the best escene ever, such emotion for rose
Marie Gustafson Same! When he runs out into the road and sees all the bad wolf signs. So dramatic! Much suspense!
Marie Gustafson my favourite use of it is in utopia when he finds out what Yama means, I think that's a variation of the song though
Yama?
You are Mot alone?

why is all the soundtrack music from the tenth doctor's era so epic and emotional .......its astounding ....i love it
Its not just 10.Same goes for 11 and 12.Murray Gold still hasn't lost his touch.I hope he never leave doctor who.I can't imagine someone else doing the soundtrack
+absolutiontheory98 I have to admit that I agree with you
Couldn't agree more, I was thinking that just the other day. Doctor Who would be completely different without Murray Gold's genius.
the tenth doctor's era was epic, emotional and amazing but then came moffat
Hey, moffat has created some good episodes. He didn't ruin the series he just made it a bit different than it had been.
_”There are some corners of the universe which have bred the most terrible things. Things which act against everything we believe in.”_
*”They Must be Fought.”*
This was such a good song to use in YANA's theme. You can imagine him opening the fob watch, letting the Master back out, to this music.
i love ya for this comment. :D
Yes. 2:11
u know the episode gonna be good when it starts with a shot of the earth and starts to zoom in whilst playing the very beginning of this soundtrack

10s theme is itself quite a sad piece, meaning this one often played at the more exciting/heroic moments. I Am the Doctor was written more as an exciting/heroic theme in and of itself.

Hungover as hell too, had to bypass those breaks, sips of tepid water, followed by "Next!".

Murray Gold's leaving so that looks unlikely.
I have been watching doctor who since I was four and God bless the music always takes me back to a better time
I've been watching since I was one, back in 2005 when the first ep of new who was released, haven't missed a single episode since 😉

One of my absolute favourites from the entire Doctor Who soundtrack
Series 3 had the best music.
YOU. ARE. NOT. ALONE.
I feel the need to run listening to this piece, preferably with a long flowing trench coat ad maybe a sonic tool of some kind in hand perhaps with that sonic tool carrying hand outstretched in the lead of my body.
smwillia I want to run too when I hear this xD Maybe because the Doctor loves running and we can feel it through the music :D
This music is so emotional it makes me cry.
Turn Left Memories
Unofficially known as Doctor Who running music.
1:58-2:30 reminds me of when Donna told the docotr about bad wolf in turn left
this is my running theme
I've had this stuck in my head for 3 days, and I'm finally listening to it!
Why did 9, 10, and 11 have the sweetest sounding and heartfelt tracks
"Say my name..."
"Master.... please..."
"TOUGH!"
There's always one thing I imagine hearing from this:
Run.
Was this also used in the episode where the planets disappeared and everyone called the doctor?
Yes it was used a lot during tennants era and even the 9ths a little
It's the main theme for series three, so it plays in every single teaser. The opening is identical to "Westminster Bridge" from Series One, but this was original to the third series.
Amy Scott Nope, the one you mean is called "Hanging on the Tablaphone"
It's used in the stolen earth when the Doctor Donna defeats Davros and the 27 planets are being sent home
I have been looking for "aLL the strange, strange creatures" for ever and i did not know the name of the song you have helped me to find it THANK YOU SIR/MA'AM

Exactly: I have seen all of 9, all of 10, half dozen episodes of 11, one serial of 1, and a few minutes of 4. My favorite Doctor?
THE DOCTOR :)

This is the love theme for The Doctorxall the random scary-ass creatures he meets. And I love every moment of it.

I associate this song with the 11th Doctor for some reason, but I'm glad to finally realize it was 10's first. 10 forever!
