Youngest lightweight Champion Armando "Mando" Ramos was teaching boxing to youngsters at the Wilmington Teen Center in 1983. Mando was going to A.A. meetings and was helping Boxing Champion Raul Rojas beat Alcohol by having Raul Rojas volunteer to teach boxing. I was 12 when I got to learn Raul Rojas left hook. I've learned boxing from many So. Cal Champion fighters growing up. Going to the wild card gym in Hollywood to school fighters in the ring is my thing.
i found that you can still throw a thumbs up hook at the longest range while still connecting with your knuckles... its just that you cant swing it around the guard from the outside that much and that the angle of impact has to be steeper... that said you can even throw straight punches and uppercuts vertically sometimes to penetrate the guard... the great thing is that you can adjust every angle seemlessly on a spectrum without having to fit into A or B... its fun to be familiar with all of them, so you can just hit from every angle possible while flowing... but of course in the end most of the times you will shoot the ones, that you drilled into your subconscious the most
@Hybrid Warrior Training. Thank you for your teaching. I have a question. Can you do a video where you explain the psychological aspect from boxing bevor a sparing or a fight. What are you doing bevor a fight when you are nervous. The tactics to come down and be focused. That would be a nice video 😊
hey bro, love your video from italy, you are helping me a lot w this. I started boxing about 6 months ago but I still notice that when I throw a series of punches, I tend to lose my balance and almost fall. could you talk about the main errors in leg positioning? it would help a lot
it is a little bit confused, when you talk about european hook proper acceleration comes from elbow retraction not lowering the hand and I think it is worth to adnote. try your hook without any footwork and you will see that lowering hand allow only for swing not technical punch which means it is uneffective because of not necessary energy waste
That ending was comical lol
