Chris, I love you, man, I am watching you for 6+ years now. I am also an astrologer, when is your birthday? What is your zodiac sign! When you played games that involved Astrology and the Tarot deck I loved it.
Did he ever notice at 49:45 the woman in the mirror? Also the crowbar and toxic barrels are a half-life reference. The end boss is Guts from Berserk. And the skeletons attacking dummies and crypt are Skyrim references
i thought it was just his characters reflection at first but since its the wifes room where she was decapitated in her bed it may be her ghost which is a cool detail
The best part about this game is that it's actually a GAME. Like mimics? Weird blood golems? Level design that doesn't make sense aside from providing fun gameplay? All awesome Definitely a good idea to do this in one shot as well. It's nice to be able to have a nice long video to put on every now and then
"Another bathroom; another person being eaten." I hate it when that happens. 😬🤣 That was a rollicking, kitchen-sink little nod to classic RE with definite Amnesia: The Dark Descent influences. Not scary, but fun...and funny (NPC: "wa wa wa wa wa wa wa!" 😂). Best of all were the two solid hours of CJU. Thanks, Chris! 🖤
The best moment for me: when Chris finished that monk in the cabin with an extra gunshot: "Thanks for the ammo, though... Prick." - Dirty Harry-style. :-)
I knew you can break those vases! I was really happy when you tried to break them! That guy banging his head to the wall reminded me of Dead Space 1 where a guy does the same.
A 2 hour playthrough? Yes, please! This was clearly a love letter to RE. Such an homage, form puzzles to enemies, to the environment itself. Loads of fun to watch you clearly enjoying yourself. Highly entertaining, and thank you for playing the full game, muchly appreciated. Here's hoping for Nightmare of Decay 2 (Electric Boogaloo) Lol!
This was a real treat to watch. Making references but not going overboard, responsive controls, and of course a talking cat; which improves any game by a minimum of 50%. I do hope for a sequel as well, these devs clearly represent the best out of the survival horror community.
Really love that a few of the humans are modelled after Silent Hill characters. Brown Hair man with brown jacket and green shirt? Harry Mason, Blonde Dude with green jacket? Definitely James Sunderland. The maniac woman was also very close to a character from SH2, Angela Orosco. This game is a little gem. It has everything you want form a homage to the PS1 horror games. Thank you for playing it!
That charging mechanic on the magnum is actually pretty clever. I've seen a video on youtube called "Video Game Revolvers Are Surprisingly Weird." Revolvers used to only be single action, meaning the trigger only released the hammer, so the user had to pull the hammer back manually between each shot. Most revolvers these days are double action meaning they are built so that pulling the trigger also pulls back the hammer then releases the hammer to fire the bullet. This however does make the trigger pull take a little bit longer. So the thing is that when it comes to videogames, generally when a player clicks their mouse they want the gun to shoot immediately, but when it comes to animating a double action revolver, they can't animate it realistically because they would have to somehow animate the trigger pull and hammer movement before the player even clicked to shoot. There are a few games like Destiny on the playstation that used the controller's trigger to animate the hammer moving before actually firing once the controller's trigger was fully pulled. Also any games with single action revolvers probably have the character pull the hammer back after each shot and are therefore animated realistically. This game made the bold choice of requiring the revolver to be "charged," which in reality would be the longer trigger pull, and the hammer animation can happen before the gun is fired. That's very unconventional but actually more realistic. The mechanic also works nicely in this game since the magnum acts as a sort of power weapon to save for harder fights. Not sure if the length of the charge is correct for how long it would take to pull the trigger of a double action revolver but I haven't shot any revolvers so I wouldn't know.
_I really enjoyed the game, wonderful throwback to classic RE. Tbh this would be fun in VR._ *_Thank you for 2 hours of fun time CJU_* #RetroIndieHorrorGame
46:22 wonder if the Flesh Wall is a Amnesia: The Dark Decent reference. I mean both are red flesh walls blocking progress and you goal is finding chemicals to make an Acid to burn the stuff away.
I will be watching this today for sure, thank you Chris! Also, just FYI, I think you have played some of Stefano Cagnani's games on the channel, so just a heads up, that person has been banned and his all accounts disabled, including UA-cam and Facebook, I guess because of copyright issues and stealing assets or what not - all I am saying is, not sure if it effects those, who downloaded and played his games, but just to be sure, heads up. Hope this information is useful. He did use those things without proper permission and I guess they got to him. Be safe Chris.
Between the exploding skeletons and the bunny boss fight, this has to be one of my favorite playthroughs this year. and yes i found the bunny both cute and terrifying, terrifyingly cute if you will 😅🥰😱 i hope they do make a second part to this game, it really was great.
Cool game, I loved how you could pick out pieces from all the Resident Evil games. And I knew we couldn't trust that damn cat. It was just too damn suspicious from the get go.
This is such a cute little horror game with some cool moments. And I love the attention to detail - like how when you load the Magnum, the speed loader has exactly the number of bullets you have left in it.
When you were in the bedroom at 49 minutes and you grabbed the aquavira I noticed her ghost was in the mirror. Just thought it was a cool thing they added.
This was a pretty impressive game for sure and I liked the surprise Silent Hill cameo lol, I was not expecting that. Honestly I miss the Silent Hill games. I know for most Silent Hill Homecoming was not anyones favorite for sure but for me I think it was. I don’t know why but I really enjoyed that one. Either way I miss Silent Hill and it’s honestly time for a new one already. Or perhaps a reboot of the whole gaming franchise. Resident Evil has gotten remakes, why not Silent Hill? It needs some attention.
The way it started, I was afraid it was gonna be another "VHS"-style game, but the graphics were decent, after all. And a talking (er-- barking) cat! Funny though, how MY feline sometimes "yips," too.
When I saw it was a 2h video, I went to heaven and back!! The game was pretty cool and it's definitely the kind of game that's a delight to watch you play, CJU! Thanks for the long video! Oh yeah, and I LOVED the Caerbannog rabbit reference SO MUCH.
You could literally swap what the cultists say "vivo o muero" (I assume that's what they said, which would translate to "I live or die") for "forastero!", which means foreigner in Spanish and you would have the villagers from RE4, I love this game
Love this game diffently like resident evil awesome video cju love you videos. Makes my day awesome watching your channel. Also did you see the ghost in the mirror when you were checking the dresser.
This game is awesome! I loved all the scenes and bosses that reminded you of the RE games! Oh and that part with the Demon bunny from Monty Python was like the best part of it all! Thank you Chris for uploading this and I do hope there will be a part 2! :D
The talking cat is now my favorite character lol. Such a mood. I tried to look for a playthrough of The Count Lucanor and Yuppie Psycho, but couldn't find one. Have you played these games yet, and if not will you do a playthrough of them?
Long and sweet! I love your long videos Chris, especially of lovely games like this one, with so many different areas and enemies. I really enjoyed the end as well and I hope there will be a sequel.
sequel, yeah why not? i like how you don't need a flashlight. unexpected character behaviors (even the one you just killed) were something else. multiple weapons to choose from is always a great change of pace to any walking simulator, not so fast paced where it's a war game. it's just chill enough where you can digest some story but not so much where it'll bore you to death.
I thought this was going to be one of those cheesy repetitive games with boring zombie after boring zombie but it pleasantly was not. I really enjoyed seeing the different kinds of enemies and it had a good amount of gore which I always love to see. Thanks for the long video, this game was worth it! :)
Imagine just being in the grocery store or something during a zombie apocalypse all scared and frantically gathering supplies... and a few isles down you just hear CJU casually, joyfully, and optimistically negotiating with zombie for them to die after his every shot. Tell me you wouldn't be both amused and dumbfounded lmao.
Waking up to a new video from Chris, couldn't ask for a better way to start the day 😊 What a great little game, 👏 to the devs. Definately reminds me of a mix of Resident Evil & Minecraft. Awesome game! Thank you for playing this 2hr game Chris. Great way to spend a cold Sunday morning.
Is this for real😳,a two hour long video. I don’t remember the last time or if there was a time we had a two hour long video. This is awesome👏😎, thank you so much for this.🙏
I really enjoyed this game. loved they took the time to incorporate a detailed map, the different game tributes, and flesh wounds from a certain vicious beast. did anyone notice people in the mirrors? a couple I noticed 24:4449:46
This game remember to me a little bit of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Agrippas' head, making acid for flashes walls and etc. Nice to watch your gameplay, dude. That last woman's head you got in the room her spirit was in mirror at first time that you gone there. But you didn't see her reflection on mirror that first time, I guess. Holy water and skeletons remember Thief: The Dark Project (Gold Edition). Man, this one is interesting, a Big Fangame with many references, James Sunderland. hahahaha Now I saw - the game in computer is this game - that part into the house, second floor, yes. Cool. Maybe you were dreaming with the game. hahahaha
It's like a fun little low budget Resident Evil.
This game was awesome it's alot like RESIDENT EVIL cool video mate
Your knife and shotgun are you best friend.
CJU please check out Scorn and Somerville game. You will not be disappointed. Pleeeease.
No Leon. No Claire. No Chris. No Jill. No Wesker. And no Mr. X! Where's Barry? Did he survive?

I saw figures in the mirrors earlier than that. I guess there's probably ghostly element to the game we didn't get to see.
was abt to post this too
Was about to post this as well xD
Dude I was about to say how did he not notice the statue in the mirror! 😬
The daily playthrough has really become a comfort around these times. This is one of the few channels I really enjoy watching every video from.
Same
ikr, sometimes i leave it on at a lowered volume and it actually lulls me to sleep in a good way
@@thatkeyboardgirlsha3442 me too! I like that he's not screaming the whole video

Don't be snarky for no reason. Makes you look dumb.

Two whole hours that didn’t feel like two hours. Awesome. Hopefully there’s a sequel.
Cat-"Mew mow me meow"
Chris-"hmm I like the way he talks."
😆
This games a gem, love the reward for exploration and the enemies being mixed, really enjoyed watching this
Such a great love letter to great franchises. They had some really cool animations too, like the chainsaw cutting the door in half and the spiders
For 4 dollars this game is a steal! Loved seeing your play through.
That talking cat’s “talking” was the highlight of my evening. ~mepmepmepmepmepmepmep~
The best moment for me: when Chris finished that monk in the cabin with an extra gunshot: "Thanks for the ammo, though... Prick." - Dirty Harry-style. :-)
Yes yes 2hour long video this is what we needed 😂
Thanks chris , feel like playing classic RE series again 😁
I knew you can break those vases! I was really happy when you tried to break them!
That guy banging his head to the wall reminded me of Dead Space 1 where a guy does the same.
"Thanks for the ammo though. *bang* .. Prick."
Chris turned into a Bruce Willis character for a second xD
A 2 hour playthrough? Yes, please!

Halfway in and just want to say this throwback to RE is friggin awesome!

Great playthrough. So many little homages to old horror games. Will definitely watch a sequal.
It gives me such joy to hear you say "bloody wardrobe" Chris! So many bloody wardrobes, hahaha. I laugh everytime.

I like the appearance of Salem the cat...spirit guide? friend? foe? hmmm. I really enjoyed your playthrough of this game, CJU/Chris.
Definitely foe. It turned into a monster at the end.
A sequel to this would be great. Perhaps with a different theme and with just a hint more original idea just to keep it fresh.
