the Dezer Collection Museum 3 hours south collects movie cars. Half of their exhibit is just for awesome cars. The other half is devoted to movie vehicles
Thank you for the info. I humbly stand corrected. I still would think that its value would be lessened by the fact that it's one of several cars used in movie according to one of the posters.
@ Jeffrey: Rick & Co. had some restoration work done to it, but it was half baked nonsense just to dress it up a little because as we all know Rick is nothing but a cheapskate lowballer. He had el' cheapo Chinese made Milestate tires put on it prior to auction, for pities sake. To get the car up to a true collectors value, the new owner will probably have to throw at least another 3G at it and then it MIGHT !!! sell at a new auction for around 4.5G. MAYBE !!!
"How much did ya want for it?" "About 3 dollars." "UHHHHHG. I mean I'm taking a gamble, it needs a lottt of work... UHHHHHHG .. I'll give you a nickel."
Born, raised & live in Orlando & I didn't know the car was here & to top it off that neighborhood looks familiar either way I wouldn't have bought it's a pacer.
I was nine years old in '92 when the movie came out, and the movie basically reintroduced the AMC Pacer to the general public. I haven't gotten one yet, but I have my eye on a replica of the "Wayne's World" Pacer that I saw near where I work. Man I'd love it if I had that car, because I would bring it to every movie, or show that Mike Myers and Dana Carvey put on. It's just that iconic.
If an item is in original condition, "It needs a lot of work, I need to get it cheap". If an item is in great condition, "It's be restored which really hurts the value as it isn't in original condition".
It’s called negotiation. It’s a mean and savage game and it needs a gentle touch. You are telling someone their stuff is worth less then they want and also saying what you are doing is a gift to them while standing in front of a wall full of previous transactions.
I've always wondered what happened to THE MIRTHLIMO. This was the stretch Pacer Limo that we see pull up at the end of Wayne's World 2 and Aerosmith gets out to perform at WAYNE STOCK. I've seen pictures of The MIRTH LIMO painted black in 2008, but from what I can tell nobody is sure where the car actually is anymore or if it even still exists. I've also seen pictures of it appearing totally neglected and abandoned behind a place called "Kings Dominion".
Rick when an artifact is in rough shape "I've got to fix this." When someone fixes a rough shaped artifact and tries to sell it to Rick. Rick:"you ruined the value." Which is it Rick?
It was once owned by a Sam Krokson from Dixon/Freeport Illinois. I ended up falling asleep in this thing for a whole night in 2011 the year he sold this car. The licorice dispenser was missing :(
Pawn Stars always gets alot of guitars come through and I'd love to see the Waynes world strat come through (the olympic white one Wayne dreams about and eventually buys). I've often wondered where that guitar is and who has it. Rumour is Mike Myers has it but not sure if its true.
They had this car sitting at Paramount Carolina in North Carolina.I have a picture with me standing in front of It.They was promoting the new Wayne's world roller coaster called the hurler.
Wonder if Rick made a profit after buying it for $9.5K & still have to spend upto $15K to restore it (not counting d delivery/ towing cost of bringing it back to Vegas).
So frustrating that the owner of this automobile hasn't seen Wayne's World.
"former owner"
yeah he is a twat..... although the car may be hideous, repulsive, crap and overwhelmingly boring as well as slow af. it would make a excellent sleeper ls swap the bitch xD
It's next owner will have.
Tom Shahan and that he let it go to shit and thinks it's worth 15k
Right? That shouldn't even be legal. How can you own such a huge piece of a legendary movie, and not even see the fucking movie.. Jesus Christ man.
Let me call up my buddy, he knows everything there is to know about Waynes World cars.
Yeah in this condition I would say it's worth about 2 dollars..on a good day 3
He restored it and It just sold for 37,500 at Barretts Car auction.
Buddy's there in 10 minutes....
Hold on, do you mind if I call my buddy who's an expert on UA-cam comment replies?

You can tell he REALLY wants the car!
Who wouldn't
Mr Bigg
that was a bad deal. The guy selling that car could've sold that for double that amount to a car museum

no problem, man. You should come check it out sometime. They've got the original Mad Max Interceptor car there from the first movie

same here

How do you take a gamble with a movie car? Fans would probably be willing to pay anything to have it
i'd rather have the car from starski & hutch

i would rather have the db5 from james bond film goldfinger.
I'd like to have the one from nightrider. I think Justin Timberlake owns it

Your post is something someone would have said back in the early 90's.
If an item is in original condition, "It needs a lot of work, I need to get it cheap". If an item is in great condition, "It's be restored which really hurts the value as it isn't in original condition".
Cars aren't guns lmfao
Literally no one said they were "Jake".

wasn't some of the "rough condition" intentional? it was supposed to be a crappy car in the movie.
rustybones99 haha exactly that's so funny
Crappy but not damaged.
Plus the fact that it no longer runs is solely due to it sitting for way too long
Hahaha. Rick really loves the movie. "Pardon me do you have a net Grey Poupon?"
dam that poor guy got schwinged
maxwell carl scott no one put a gun to his head and told him to sell, he could of stuck to his guns and said no( no pun intended)
The car doesn't even run. Trust me he got a good price. It's also in terrible condition.

the song at the start sounds VERY similar to Funky Monks by RHCP
Yup even the end song sounds like suck my kiss
I was thinking the exact same thing. I think it was intentional because in the movie they listen to Sikamikanico in the car.
And then even later they do like a watered down and deranged version of suck my kiss if you listen close enough
Malcolm Boyd I thought the same thing lol
That's exactly what I thought
Rick when an artifact is in rough shape
"I've got to fix this."
When someone fixes a rough shaped artifact and tries to sell it to Rick.
Rick:"you ruined the value."
Which is it Rick?
He needs to frame it...
Exactly, I've never understood that..
Makes me think he really knows nothing about collectable items.

It’s worth 1500000000000
Rick: the best I can do is 250
I see a little silhouetto of a man..
Apparently the car was sold at an auction after it was restored for $37000 after fees and everything, so Rick made quite the profit.
Ah a little bohemian rhapsody gentleman? Good call!
love the style of that car. why can't they still make cool looking cheaper cars?
These sold like hotcakes the first couple of years they came out. They were praised for being futuristic, and looked like the car of the 80s.
I have a 1976 Pacer, its blue/white 2 tone.
Plenty of people recognize a Pacer.
It's a very reliable car
I love the deep huff breathing before he says I'll give you $100.00 mean while it's worth $700.00

Thank you, random helpful gentleman!
it's a 1976 AMC pacer. it's not "the Wayne's world car" it's the Mirth Mobile.
Fun fact: the "mirthlimo" from 2 is at kings dominion in Virginia but has since been painted black and has sat unused for quite some time.
Epic scene epic movie with this car signing the queen song we are the champions
Wayne's world is my favorite movie
there was one of Those cars in a auto museum in joliet Illinois about 15 yrs ago, shwing! lol
if u google the mirthmobile, it is a 1976 amc pacer, but it was NOT the car driven in the 1992 movie, that the car was an old Shelby mustang.
That was really stupid to allow this car to just sit around and degrade like that.
I love Wayne's World!
He's never seen the movie yet, owns a Waynes World car. Priceless!!!
Yeah the most I can offer you is a scratched up copy of Wayne’s World that Chum bit a piece out of
I called the shop and offered 36k for this. They hung up on me. Never answered my emails. They could’ve saved some auction fees.
Of course on this exact video i get that youtube ad to rent or buy the movie lol
Rick- “How much you want for it?”
Seller - gives amount
Rick - *always dramatically exhales every time
I've seen this car . It was in Santa Clara at Paramount's Great America
I remember this car was on display at Canada's Wonderland way back in the day.

Autocorrect my ass. Mirth to murph? Is there a unique provision in auto correct to do that or what?
I have not seen an update on Pawn Stars about the car or what it looked like fixed up
badass! love Waynes world.
ahh the mirth mobile
Is there a part 2 to this, showing the restoration?
Does anyone else notice that heavy sigh Rick always does when someone goes up on their price?
Rick making a huge sigh like 1k is going to stop him from buying the car LOL
I have a 58 Pacer sedan, and looking at the front of the car, I feel like the headlamp surrounds would look better if they were chromed.
"If I buy this car, I'm taking a gamble." Re-sells it for 5x what he paid. Seriously, don't sell to a pawn shop.
Rick always says I'm taking a gamble
The song at the beginning sounds very much as Funky Monks by RHCP.
The Count is gonna have fun with this.
Rick wins these negotiations so easy but everytime he has to go up a dollar it's like you just kicked him in the balls
There was more than 1 car used in the movie. One estimate was 8 cars used.
That is totally cool. It really was a fun movie and I always wondered what happened to the car.
My uncle owned one of those & called it "THE FISH BOWL"
I think we’ll go with a little Bohemian Rapsody, my excellent fellas. Party on.
I watched this movie in my teens that makes me realize that I'm an old timer.
I would have paid the guy 500 bucks and told him " ask your estate sale buddies if u want more than that."
I offered these guys 36k for this car..... and it sold at auction for exactly what I offered..... hope you like paying auction costs.
LOL that dude sounds like kermit
Man that was a steal
yeah...it was resold/auctioned off for $37k
Does the car have a no Stairway to Heaven sign on the radio?
Lol
negotiation tactics on point boys.
What I wanna know is how he doesn’t know anything about Wayne’s World but also won a contest for the car.
Not getting the show in Germany, what became of it during the show / after the show and where is it now?
Sold for 37k and looks as it once did in the films
A licorice dispenser has to be installed in this
There's more than one Wayne's World AMC Pacer.
I know someone who purchased one, from the filming in Aurora Illinois.
His is in much better shape.
mech5 fab even though none of the movie was filmed in Aurora.....

The song when the video starts sounds so much like Funky Monks by RHCP
