As soon as I heard about State Farm dropping all those home owners policies, I thought the same thing.
Bill Burr is the epitome of a great comedian who not only makes you laugh but makes you think.
...because it takes a comedian to make you think...
@ Of course not but the greatest comedians of all time are the ones who make you laugh and make you think.
Otherwise it’s just banal soulless comedy.
@ColinLyons-dr4oq 100%
My favorite comedian is George Carlin, and he was funny, but made you think about life. Not a lot of people have common sense or think too hard about things anymore. I enjoy some soulless comedy too haha
@@lm4836 It has often throughout history taken a “comedian” to make people think, that is a well known fact, and your comment if it was meant to be snarky, serves no purpose 🤷🏻♀️
"Professor Frink, Professor Frink, will make you laugh, will make you think".
"I never left Luigi." ohhh my shayla! 😭
I've never thought about Bill Burr for theatre. I was highly surprised when I saw him doing well as an actor in Mandalorian. But Glengarry Glen Ross, the play, with Bill Burr, makes a lot of sense, and he should do quite well!
He's clearly playing the Baldwin role, too (since he mentions the one big speech and then leaving until the end), which I can absolutely see him nailing. It's actually interesting to cast a less corporate, more working class kind of performer in the role. I'd love to see this. The rest of the cast is badass, too.
Steak Knives!
Yeah he’s a surprisingly good actor. But people who have had some trauma at a young age are often really good actors because they draw from real emotion that they’ve experienced.

The reason the fires got out of control is because there was no water put where it needed to be because of poor management.
@ Yes. Also the disaster is much worse due to unprecedented winds, that spread it faster than anyone expected, could happen.
He walks the line LIKE AN OLYMPIAN.
@@RippleDrop.Genuinely would have been less of an issue if the state had actually managed its forests and cleared dead standing trees, dry brush etc, and created actual fire breaks to limit the potential spread.
Newsom and his office bragged about treating 90,000 acres, which turned out to be 10,000. They bragged about treating 70,000 acres last year. Even if we take him at his word, California is roughly 100,000,000 acres. Dude is bragging about "treating" 0.7% of his state.

A national treasure. "A national treasure" in my best Bill Burr voice.
Wait what happens when the trial starts....
Free Luigi!
The calm in emergencies but upset about little things feels very relatable. Tree crashes through the garage and rips the electrical system off of the house itself? It's alright, just call the insurance company and the fire department. Bump my head on a cabinet? THE WHOLE KITCHEN WILL FEEL MY WRATH FOR ATTACKING ME!!!!!
This is a great interview. Bill gets better and better.
What interview? I'm watching a monologue.
@@plodiN3 No you are not watching a monologue. A monologue is a speech delivered by one (mono) character. This is an interview.
@@Redridge07 Well comedians usually give the hosts a list of questions to ask so they can do their material (Kimmel is a lot less obvious about it than most), it's not really a monologue or an interview.
No, he's terrible. None of that was funny.
@@mister_manager don't be afraid to learn. Even if the questions are given to the host, this segment is the guest interview.

As a New Yorker moving to California, it took years to actually realize it was OK to be happy! It was a sunny day. That was a good enough reason to actually be happy and not miserable.
We only have one life in this realm of life!! And happiness is a choice just like misery and in California an I use live close the Palisades it’s ran by generational wealth however that means absolutely nothing to Mother Nature!!
Huh? You need to get out more then if it took you that long to realize such a simple concept. Thats on you.
Except when you live in the UK or Ireland or Scandinavia lol it’s so dark there 6 months out of the year. Seasonal depression is real
@@avidadolaresyou don’t get what he’s saying..nor get the cultural impact of your surroundings…stop.
Nope, still don't trust "being happy"... if I'm happy, I'm always just waiting for the hammer to drop.
The MASSIVE point is that insurance companies observed reality and a ton pulled out... and THEY STILL did nothing... mindblowing
@travisjazzbo3490 - they will continue to blame climate change or whatever else, and this will keep happening.
I'm so glad I left California
Who is they?
@@MarkkuS The mayor, LA city council, the governor. Fires can't be stopped but they can be minimized to a small nuisance instead of a giant catastrophe. It's something humans have been doing for a very long time.
@@MarkkuS Politicians... Despite warnings from Trump years ago (on video), I am sure thousands of locals voicing concerns over the years, AND insurance companies pulling out citing specifically that the brush and overgrowth lack of clearing posed huge risks, the Democrat politicians ignored it all, which is just mindblowing given CA history of wildfires
@MarkkuS the LA and California govt is the THEY they're referring to. They didn't clear the brush and dead debris. A thing California has known it's needed to do every single year to maintain forests and keep fires to a minimum, but THEY decided not to add that into the budget. Supposedly because they were going to use fema funds at a later date instead.

@jj5051 I appreciate the way you think - cut or not
Yea what the hell did those corporate CEOs cut at 3:10
There's very clearly a cut after Burr says "I never left Luigi" but it was likely just some awkward redirecting of the conversation back to the fires. Editing to keep the segment within the allotted time frame. If they really wanted to censor him, they woulda cut the entire Luigi portion.
