I work at Pizza Hut and can confirm they use the same cheese in the Cheez-it pizza as the Stuffed Crust. It's kind of like a string cheese that melts really well.

The Cheez-It "Pizza" comes to the store fully prepped so nobody knows exactly what kind of cheese is inside, most guess it's pizza cheese but again we're not sure. All we know is that most of us despise it and wish it never existed, so that's all you ever need to know.
So all you have to do is heat it up? Sounds like my kind of job.

worked at pizza hut for 2 years. if the cheese inside is "similar" to the stuffed crust cheese, then it is likely string cheese or some variety. The stuffed crust pizza's are made with literal string cheese sticks, 5 to be exact.
