@Dimez757 yep, you know it's bad when I can get a new york strip, side, and unlimited cherry coke at my local bar for the same price as a 5 piece chicken tender large combo.
This is ridiculous, fast food is supposed to be for the common consumer, and the common consumer is not going to pay 50 dollars for fast food wings.
The thing is, they actually will, and do.
Make your own, people. Buy a pack of chicken tenders $5 and change here in Texas grocery stores. Throw them in a bowl with a little seasoning. Mix. Throw in some flour. Enough to cover tenders and a bit extra. Throw more seasoning on top of flour. Mix everything well until tenders covered. Heat up some oil and drop them bad boys in. Cook till golden brown. Take out and put on a plate with paper towels.
Fries. Potatoes. Cheap as hell. Cut potatoes in desired fry shape. Skinny, thick, skin off, skin on. Whatever. Soak fries in bowl of water after cutting. Soak for an hour. The starch will come out of the fries so they wont be soggy. Rinse fries then drain water. It also helps to dry fries with a paper towel or towel but it isn't required. Just makes them a bit more crispier. Then just heat up oil and cook until golden brown. Put some seasoning on fries right when you take them out or just salt.
Easy. Way cheaper and makes a lot more. I suck at cooking but anybody can follow this.
You could even get really good at it, the same way that Popeyes does and freeze them ready to go all breaded, then throw in the fryer and have food faster than if you were waiting in line.
cant do that in the car
We live in an age where people buy peanut butter and jelly premixed lol. The second you start talking about cooking for yourself everybody’s eyes glaze over
better off making a buttermilk marinade with smoked paprika and garlic, salt and pepper and a little cayenne. Mix flour, cornstarch, and a little baking powder. Season with garlic onion coriander smoked paprika salt pepper thyme and msg, sprinkle some of the marinade into the flour to create little crispy pieces, then take the chicken from the marinade and coat it in the flour. That buttermilk will make the chicken more tender plus the flour will stick very well to it. Just coating with flour with no adhesive will be a disappointment
@@deejaydc89 That's way too much and goes off track of what my comment was originally and obviously made to do, which was a recipe to cook something extremely easy to make. And no, just using flour is not disappointing. You'll get a crispy outside like you would do any other way. More complex ways like your recipe is just for the overrated crunch and extra flair to the flavor. Trust me, I've tried all of them. It's just more work for basically prettier tenders. Less is more.

It's to the point that we have to make stuff at home. Even then, it can be very pricey. Idk... There's just no getting away from spending our money away. Our pay stays the same while everything's getting ridiculously expensive
@@Moon_Presence excellent point. What I think most miss, the costs of a cooked-to-order restaurant, made primarily from whole ingredients versus purchased premade foods from a mass food distributor is the biggest separating factor. Potentially exponentially greater in cost today! These restaurants exist in more metropolitan areas of course, and must be priced inaccessibly to most people to cover the costs of doing business. The ultra rare occurrence of your small town American diner that still prepares most of their own foods is a beautiful thing.

This man really talks for 20 minutes about how much he hates Popeye's boneless wings. I can't lie, I'm here for it!
Even in 2024 those prices are totally nuts. They’re boneless wings…
@@bhec7715nuggets
@@bhec7715 Well to be brutally honest ... they're chicken nuggets
man you used to be able to get 34 chicken nuggets for $24 at Popeyes.
the new jack in the box wings are also way to expensive for what you get
I've been noticing the past few years fried chicken in general, across every franchise, has been suffering in quality. What's wrong with our chickens?
TheReportOfTheWeek is going to single handedly dismantle corporate greed.
don't blame "corporate greed"
the cost for the food to prepare is also way up, due to Geriatric Joe's failings

It's all the billions of dollars we sent overseas raising inflation as well
Easiest way to go bankrupt, increase your prices by 20%
Welcome to Keynesian Voodoo Economics, print endless money, and just hope to god the thinning of USD value scales with an increase in value of total US economy. Crisis? Print 10x more than usual (QE). Another crisis? Do it again. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. (You are here)
Panera Bread raised their prices over 40% since 2021. For comparative purposes, at it's highest point (July 2022) Inflation was in the 11%-14% range, and it's been around 3% since last year and slowly falling.

@@Campernicus I'm saying they have no choice but to raise their prices because of inflation. I like the documentary The Money Masters, very comprehensive.
Your voice to this crucial matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you kind sir
$50 for agitation without flavor. Disgusted and Fed up!
How in the hell is that 50 freaking dollars wtf popeyes?
You don’t understand, the executives car payments and mortgages are very expensive, we need to help them out ; )
@@MatthewMS. Executive salaries are significantly less than the cost of low skilled labour. This is what happens when you raise the minimum wage for burger flipping.
It's not. $31. This guy overpays and then complains about it
You already know it’s gonna be a banger when we see “fed up” in the video title 😂
The reason why the sauced ones are in containers is because they dump the chicken in with some sauce to shake it up.
*THANK YOU FOR CALLING OUT THE PRICES* You've glossed over them in the past saying "it is what it is" but we really need to start putting our money where our mouth is. I'm relatively well-off compared to most people but I am so tired of seeing insane prices for groceries and restaurants. Thank you for calling them out on these insane prices. Keep doing it!
The basics haven't gone up in price all that much. Making stuff from scratch is still an option, if not the better option more than in the recent past.
J.BIDEN
Many fast food restaurants need to start being called out and Popeyes is definitely at the top of that list. Saw a lady spend $50 for a family meal at popeyes that only consisted of 10 pieces of chicken, biscuits, and 2 family size sides. Their prices are ridiculous now.
@@staticJ7 maybe that lady voted for it? Maybe she deserves to feel uncomfortable….?
@@minipandora22 what dumb president removed regulations from corporations? How do you think the prices are controlled?
I spent $40 for 2 meals and a kids meal. Absolute Robbery. I'll never go back to Popeyes. The food was disgusting as well..
8 bucks for 6 morsels of chicken... this chicken better be delivered by the president himself.
So...$1.33 per nugget. This is indeed outrageous. Not a chance those tiny wing nuggets are good enough to justify that.
“…In case they weren’t good, I wanted to get something for ME to eat …”

$50 For Chicken Wings ??? ... and you threw half away ... Wow ...
Only one man has ever suffered more than this saint. ☝️
He looks like a senator or congressman. I'd vote for him. Looks very nice.
People don’t take pride in looking sharp anymore. Taking pride in hygiene and dressing up drastically can affect how you interact and prioritize your focus on tasks.
This is how most people decide who they’re gonna vote for, isn’t it? 😢
little containment devices is the perfect way to describe that package design lol
Maybe they should stop paying the CEOs millions of dollars and then they can pay their employees!!
You do realize that boneless wings and chicken tenders are the same exact pressed chicken, right? All you boneless wing people are getting ripped off
Maybe these ridiculous prices will encourage people to stop going to fast food places so much
No just popeyes. The food is not edible.
@@Lobonovano not just Popeyes. All Fast food items are getting crazy expensive.
You would pay the same amount of money you could typically spend enough for groceries to cook a home cooked meal.
It used to be you go to Fast food places when you were broke asf and needed some food in your stomach but its absurd now when the average combo price is 15 dollars plus.
@guthetanuki256 I've found it's actually cheaper to eat at denny's and Applebee's and places like that better food too, I can spend $35 for two steaks with two sides and appetizer at Applebee's... we went to jack in the box yesterday and spent $32.75 on 10 junior chicken sandwiches
@@redeyejedi7501 how's the food quality at Applebee's? Is it worth the purchase

One other thing I’ve noticed with fast food is it’s no longer fast. I waited for around 15-20 minutes at McDonald’s for a Quarter Pounder and some fries the other day, and that doesn’t factor in the line
My favorite fast food is putting rice in my rice cooker and eating it 20 minutes later 😅
Had to rewind when he said $50. 😲
Yup. Three times $8 for the three flavors of wings, plus $20 for his own meal, in case he didn't like the wings, plus sales tax and likely local restaurant tax (which can be, like, 11% in some places). $50.
Had to click on this video after seeing the title 😭😭😭 “Should I go there? Well I am..” that’s how I feel about stuff in life sometimes. We all fed up about something.
