I'm from Brazil and I just wanted to leave some information, there was an asshole guard who didn't let around 10 passengers or more not board the flight due to a 2 minute delay, God bless that asshole.
Curious fact: Some passengers were unable to board this flight due to a lack of information at the airport. One of them, called Adriano Assis, argued with an employee because he could no longer board. After the accident, Adriano thanked the employee for saving his life. Other two passangers said they got lost in the airport and had lost the time to board. Remember, everything has a purpose. Also, a 3-year-old girl was in that flight. Didn't expect that to happen in my country. RIP.

the plane crashed about 50 minutes from where i work and right next to where my cousin works, i live in itatiba, about 19 km from vinhedo where the crash happened, truly a horrible accident and i can't imagine what the families are going through right now.

Here in Brazil, we are approaching Father's Day. And many of the people who died were on their way to visit their relatives. It is very sad to know that they were unable to see them one last time.😢
Never been a fan of the ATR-72/42 and I try and avoid them especially in winter. The wing design is flawed and very susceptible to ice, leading to un-recoverable scenarios similar to this.
Just to make things a bit better, souls are eternal, they go through experience to experience between reincarnations. Life doesn't end, it continues. We just don't remember it until we realise that we live in illusionary, fake world. We simply here to experience, make mistakes, learn lessons and grow. And our souls chose these experiences.
The Airplane that crashed is a 14 year old ATR72-500 (PS-VPB). It looks like it deep stalled. Accident after accident, 2024 might be one of the worst years in aviaton of the 21st century. R.I.P to those pleople and I wish all the best for their families.

We are all deeply saddened by the situation. On Sunday, 11/08, it was Father's Day, and a story moved me as it shared accounts from some of the families. The one that touched me the most was Liz's, a three-year-old girl, whose mother said that she loved the song Areia (Sand) by the Brazilian singer Sandy. Areia (Sand) is a song that addresses the fragility of time, the memories we try to preserve, and the desire to keep a connection alive with someone special, despite the inevitable changes that time brings.
Yeah, looked quite terrifying. I suspect pilot error or instrument failure, as the tapered wing probably aggressively tip stalled at first, which was likely caused by a combination of a low airspeed while banking the aircraft, which lead to an irrecoverable flat spin at an altitude way too low for recovery to be possible. There are also other causes, such as engine failure or running out of fuel, which might explain the low airspeed. This is just my theory, though.

I know that’s a jet fuel fire, but I’d be running towards it shrouded in soaking wet towels if that crashed literally in front of my house. My camera would be the last thing on my mind. Sending our thoughts out to every family touched by this disaster. 🕊️
Camera can actually be more helpful, accidents like that aren’t survivable, and with the aircraft burning it will be harder for investigators because by the time they get there it will be burned . Footage actually help accident investigators a lot and can help determine causes and help prevent further accidents.
People film everything now instead of the human instincts to help/support situations. It’s actually quite sad, but this situation is tough, such a unique thing to happen I can see why they wanted to film

Apparently not. In Brazil it seems due to severe ice on the wings though it's early to say but other airplanes pilots mentioned it and the pilot ask localTower to change altitude and was denied and then did not have time to avoid the stall-flat spin/
I watched the flight path in FlightRadar 24 and it went from level flight to a spin in seconds, though it was going slow, I think it would have fallen out like the ATR-42 that crashed years ago in the USA (American Eagle), but we'll have to wait until they find the black box

Looks like an ATR 72. There have been other crashes where the propellor were mistakenly feathered which causes all thrust to be lost no matter the prop speed
other videos with audio have a fluttering sound on them. From this and the way the aircraft is falling i think the right engine still has normal power but the left has suffered either a failure, or a propeller pitch control failure, perhaps going into reverse thrust as has already been suggested. The fluttering sound (like helicopter blade slap) makes me lean towards a prop pitch problem with the left engine.
@@Andygarrett357It shouldn't be, but I seem to remember a prop plane crash in the States where a reversal in flight happened and was found to be due to a severe lack of maintenance. The gears/gearbox that controlled the angle of the propellers wasn't being oiled and the metal chewed itself apart internally until it couldn't angle the blades anymore. Without the gearbox working they couldn't even return to a feathered position and it was stuck in reverse. Maybe something like that has happened here? Edit: can't remember what plane type it was, but it was a twin engine prop plane

Some Brazilian pilots commented via audio that this ATR-72 model does not work well in amounts of ice in the sky and was in these weather conditions, one of the probable causes but they do not know for sure yet .

ATR72's are known to be hard to fly and stall easily. If I remember one went down over Buffalo new York a few years back after stalling.

Those planes are notorious for bad ice build up on the wings. It's winter time there right now. This is most likely the cause.
It is very hot here in Rio, 250 miles from São Paulo. I have the air conditioning on. Very unlikely ice was the problem.

A flat spin is never good, but worse when it's that close to the ground.
It was falling like that for much longer. Other videos from bigger distance show it falling vertically and spinning like that from much higher up.
According to flight radar it was at 18000ft so should have been recoverable
Some ofth3 wing was missing so definitely not recoverable.

Sounds familiar. I know I've seen a video on that happening. Like a reverse thruster going off during flight, it shouldn't be possible.

the person was probably recording something normal like everyone does nowadays then suddenly there’s a huge noise and a weird sight of something falling out of the sky? i can imagine how loud a falling plane can be 🤔

Some Brazilian pilots commented via audio that this ATR-72 model does not work well in amounts of ice in the sky and was in these weather conditions, one of the probable causes but they do not know for sure yet .

ATR 72-600 are great airplanes. More than likely it will be pilot error or guys that work on plane screwed up. That fell from the sky it didn't crash.
