- This classic 2002 interview was done on the red carpet for the Rob Zombie film House of 1000 Corpses Eric Blair talks with Glenn Danzig about the Blackest of the Black Tour, Glenn's thoughts on his impact on popular culture with the Misfits and as a solo artist also his thoughts on The Mtv show The Osbournes
Glenn is genuinely a nice guy if you ask the right questions. Usually it's corny interviewers that set him off and it gives people the impression that he's an asshole 24/7. He definitely cares about the fans that support him and his music. When it comes to stupid people asking stupid questions he doesn't waste his time. I don't blame him. Only very few interviewers I can think of that actually kept his interest level going and that's Robb from Robb's Metal Works, Eric Blair and Vanessa Warwick from MTV Europe.

Talk to anyone in northern NJ, were all pretty much like Danzig since he’s from here lol so I always thought he seemed pretty normal. I met him once and he couldn’t of been a nicer guy, he just doesn’t have time for bullshit.
I think its funny that he doesn't want to smile but he really wants to. He's such a modest guy doesn't want to take credit for paving the way for some heavy bands.
I'm pretty sure he just doesn't want to show his teeth... They look like tombstones in a graveyard

It's a good album - just not as good as the first 3. Glenn and the band moved away from the raw straight-forward sleazy blues metal sounds of the first two records and also away from the darker heavier metal of How The Gods Kill.

I also have really started to grow to like Danzig 6 just bc of Lillin & Thirteen & Cult Without a Name. Danzig 5 has one of the most underrated songs of his (Ashes) - his vocals on that are spectacular hitting that higher range

Funny seeing this knowing what we know now. A Misfits reunion nearly happened that very year (2002). Who knew it would finally happen years later in 2016.
This was from 2003 Eric which was the first year of The Blackest of the Black and this interview was held at the House of 1000 Corpses premiere which came out in 2003.
After seeing this interview I actually like this guy now, always liked his music

from what he's said in interviews, the reason he did it was seeing a bunch if rock icons dieing in 2015 2016, and he said, as long as they can still play, no reason not to get together. they are an iconic band.

I much preferred seeing misfits with Jerry only leading at the hard rock. The tick with $20 and he hung around for pictures and signed a bunch of my shit (like I was literally pulling trash out of my pockets and he was signing it. What a cool dude)

After the difficult American AV life, he married at an appropriate time and lived in the United States with his children. I bless him in the name of the Lord that his old age may be peaceful.

Cause i keep reading that he's usually grumpy when interviewed, especially when he doesn't like the questions, but i genuinely just saw interview in wich he's super humble and smiley..
