PS Plus is based on the latency of your connection.. also called ping time.. if your ping to the PS servers is bad, you will get lag and you will get lower video quality. The bandwidth (Mbps) just has minimum caps.. Keep in mind Bandwidth (Mbps) is not your speed.. it is how much data can transfer in 1 second.. Your internet speed is your latency, or how fast you connect to a remote server and get a response, it is measured in ms, otherwise known as Ping Time, and this is the source of game streaming/Multi-player lag when the ping is high. Steps to improve your ping time and lower latency.. 1) Use an Ethernet Cable. WIFI can get outside interference which will cause packet drops and requires the packets to be resent, WIFI also has an inherent latency in the connection itself. This is the worst connection to use when trying to stream a game. Use an Ethernet connection to the router, it is shielded from outside interference and has a much lower latency than WIFI. 2) Don't lag out your own connection. Every device in your home that uses the internet connects through 1 router. That router had to divide the bandwidth and latency with every device connected. when multiple devices are using the internet, the router has to schedule each device's data packets to be sent and schedule the data to be sent to the devices.. this creates latency (lag). When streaming a game, you should remove every device off the router that you possibly can.. Cell Phones (use cellular data if necessary), turn off the PC (or if streaming on the PC, disable downloads, or any background program that uses the internet), turn off streaming apps on the TVs or turn the TVs off (except the one you may be using).. Personal Assistants with always on connection (Alexa type devices) You just want your system having the internet to itself if at all possible,, this will reduce lag and latency from your own home. 3) Don't use a VPN when streaming games.. a VPN has to connect to a remote network to mask your IP address, but this creates additional hops has to go through and re-directs your connection before getting to the streaming servers.. VPN's typically adds 50ms or more to your connection in latency ping time.. You want 15ms or less when streaming games, especially on PS Plus for PC. 4) Use the correct controller.. PS Plus on PC is only compatible with DualShock 4 for PS4, the latency of the PlayStation controllers is the lowest available on the market and its Bluetooth connection latency is lower than any wired connection available, not to mention, many Sony First party Games require the touchpad, like Ghost of Tsushima, which requires the touch pad swipe controls. 5) Upgrade your Modem and Router to current standards. Just the router being upgraded to a WIFI 6 model will increase packet throughput and lower latency and lag, and it offers better protection from outside interference on WIFI if you are just unable to connect by Ethernet, And WIFI 6 runs at a frequency range that will not interfere with a DualShock 4 or DualSense controller's Bluetooth signal. For lag free gaming, you want under 20ms ping to the PS Servers.. for image quality to be sharp, you want a ping to the PS Servers under 15ms. And do not go by your "Speed Test" that connects to a server across the street.. if you can, use an elevated CMD prompt and Ping to the closest PS Server Farm. In the US there are 3.. one in San Mateo, California (Us PlayStation West), one in Columbus, Ohio (US PlayStation Central), and one in Charlottesville, Virginia (US PlayStation East).

Besides on a more personal note, I haven't touched a gamepad ever since MGS4 on the PS3, to give an idea about how I'd feel about being forced back onto it now :p The rest of the technical issues such as lag and compression artifacts will be gradually optimized and are more infrastructure-related in general than specific to PS+ so I can live with that, specially considering that my target titles will be 3PS Sony exclusives among which the ones you mentionned, plus others like God of War and Days Gone. FPSes will remain the sole territory of my PC on which I play through GFN.
so my ps4 died today and pretty much the only game i ever played on it was bloodborne since i usually play pc. you gotta understand bloodborne is my favorite game ever so this hit hard when i found out my ps4 is seemingly irreperable. i hate do do this tbh cause im not a big fan of cloud streaming games but since i dont have the money for a ps5 and spending 200-300 bucks on a new ps4 for 1 game is a bit much, i think this is my last chance. i just hope for the love of god that sony ports bloodborne to pc so i dont have to struggle with this type of stuff anymore. this is what pain looks like.
If you go on a month to month basis game pass is cheaper but if you go for the full year subscription game pass is $60 more expensive game pass doesn’t give you any deals if you try to get game pass for the full year. And hopefully ps plus fixes they’re streaming problems or let’s you download the game cause the streaming really sucks right now on pc
Hey sorry for taking a while to respond - I found the lag was the same as in Ghost of Tsushima or Bloodborne - but you generally dont need as much precise timing in SOTC so I thought it was fine. I even got used to it in both of the other two games.
To be honest, I only bought PS Plus Premium just for playing Bloodborne on PC. I have a really good high-end computer and really good internet connection(400mbps Download 20mbps upload) but I can't play Bloodborne smoothly. I constantly playing, idk, like 15-20 fps and the resolution is around 720p. And I don't know what to do. My favorite souls game is Bloodborne even tho I haven't played Bloodborne yet. Bloodborne is my dream game to play and I don't want to play it with these conditions. It's so sad that even with these internet, pc etc. I still can't play Bloodborne smooth enough. Such a shame... I live in Europe btw, maybe there are no PS Plus servers in Europe? Idk. I just wanted to play Bloodborne :( Edit: I also tried playing other games such as God of War 3 Remastered and Hollow Knight. They ran smooth as butter, no problem at all, only with a little bit input lag but isn't a problem. But Bloodborne... Omg man, why specifically Bloodborne doesn't run smoothly :(
on PC even an Antivirus, background update, google drive could causing slowdown, and also like when holiday, the service can lag a lot too. even in xCloud, if you use Chrome it will give you noticeably more lag than with Edge. older game also sometimes will give you lower performance stream than the newer game, i think it was because newer game was more optimized for streaming, therefore it was noticeably smoother there are a lot of problem that can cause slowdown other than the internet.
Does it require a Sony Exclusive Dual Shock 4 controller or any other brands Dual Shock 4 controller also works? Also is Last of us 1&2 streamable on PS+ Premium subscription?

Pretty sure it's the console version, although I have no idea how multiplayer would work. Didn't play any multiplayer games. There is the issue that Rainbow Six siege isn't on PS plus either ;)

since the AUSTRALIAN ps plus website etc are all shit at explaning whether or not you can ( an AU player ) buy say the EXTRA version and stream the games onto your pc via some ps plus australian app??? im not buying shit when it looks like the only APP download is literally for the US version and no AU version of psplus to PC exists so basically its BS.
