Bryan Tapuy I legit havent started studying until like an hour ago. I took a diagnostics test and I did horrible... I regret procrastinating this much. What happened to me last year I studied a month in advanced for all my ap classes and now I just now started studying for my back to back ap tests
@@explodingfiregaming yeah, I just did my unit 1 exam and the teacher ain't even taught us this lab yet, so I got screwed. I missed like the frq for part of it, like 9 points outta 30. Self-studying like usual because even if I go back to school, I'd have to self-study anyways since this guy is too easy on us
Also. Another tip....on the test....IF YOU FORGET HOW TO DO SOMETHING....TRY IT AND GET A NUMBER....THAN MOVE ON AND USE THAT NUMBER FOR THR NEXT LETTER OF THE EXAM WHICH YOU WILL LIKELY KNOW HOW TO DO. THEY WONT DOCK YOU TWICE FOR TWO WRONG ANSWERS IF THE SECOND ANSWER YOU GOT WAS CORRECT BY USING THE FIRST NUMBER
I think what this person means is on an FRQ section, if you don't know how to do a part of the FRQ and to answer the next part you need to use an answer from the part you didn't know how to do, simply try it and get some random number which you can use for the second part. If you can do the second part with incorrect information because you didn't know how to do the first part, you'll get credit.
A video on how to teach yourself intro to chem would be SUPER helpful, I am taking AP chemistry this year and haven't done any chemistry prior, some tips would be great!
Hannah Likes Science [Hannah Burd] Because Chemistry is such a fundamental property of our material world... Our world is complicated.... and transitively so is Chemistry. Physics and Biology are also quite difficult and complex.
Thanks for sharing! Can 3 significant figures be used in the AP Chemistry Exam for atomic weights? Four years ago, I tried to memorize it to 6 significant figures (or 5 in some cases) and didn't do a bad job, but have now forgotten. Not only is this quite challenging, but writing down so many figures when working through problems is mega time-consuming and likely increases the risk of introducing simple errors. It certainly helps to memorize formulas and other reference material as it saves so much time. Memorizing common polyatomic ions, solubilities and as many compound formulas helps too. Creating energy profiles for equilibrium analysis certainly helped me to get a decent understanding of how that worked. Even though I got an A in high school (many, many years ago), I didn't really understand equilibrium as well as I do now. Congrats on your score. I think anyone watching this will see that it was the result of a lot of hard work and that this is the primary factor in doing well.
I’m taking Gen Chem in college, and this helped a lot. I’m actually kinda scared about it, but your video made me feel more confident. Thanks for uploading!
Thank you for this video! I am taking ap chemistry for the 2018-19 school year and I really want to prepare myself for the ap test at the end of the year!
Great video! My school doesn't offer AP chem so I took honors but still helpful for other AP courses. Chem was difficult for me but I did have a bad teacher who almost failed most of the class. I have always been strong in science but I haven't let this experience stop me from majoring in Atmospheric science/Meteorology.
Jared Stegman Yea our teacher assigned a bunch of them with worksheets but I only did some. At this point though I’m just doing practice problems and watching general review videos.
This vid was super helpful! I just took General Chem as a sophomore and am taking both AP Chem and AP Physics 1 this school year as a junior. LOL IM PETRIFIED
I've taken both AP physics 2 and AP chem at the same time. By the end of it, you'll understand everything in our world so much better haha. But I recommend spacing the two classes out and not taking them at the same time. It's a lot of workload, and if you do other activities such as sports (like me) then you'll find it feels like you'll be suffocating. @@nataliamoran441

Can you make a video on how to balance studying for multiple APs or SAT Subjects during one school year? Because I’m doing multiple and I’m very daunted.
This video made me feel so so so much better! I'm the only junior who chose to skip Honors Chem and go straight to AP Chem. I've been self studying like crazy, and everyone's making it seem like it's going to be impossible to do well. It's great to see a success story. Maybe now I'll relax a little before school starts Monday haha. Also, congrats on the 5!
Hi Hannah, I am such a huge fan of your UA-cam channel and I really appreciate how you are willing to give such great advice as well as encouragement to people like me taking high school AP courses. I am taking AP Chem now and it is a struggle, but I know it will be worth it in the long run. I was also wondering which solubility rules you would recommend are worth memorizing for the AP Chem exam?
I’m a chem major in college and it is a struggle everyday. So don’t feel bad because I even teach the lower levels of chemistry and major in it and it’s still extremely hard to learn more chemistry.

The fact that Chemistry makes you uncomfortable makes me feel better! Why is Chem so difficult?!
Becca Mardis great question 😫😂
Hannah Likes Science [Hannah Burd] Because Chemistry is such a fundamental property of our material world... Our world is complicated.... and transitively so is Chemistry. Physics and Biology are also quite difficult and complex.
John Landon Miller Very true! I personally find Biology a bit easier just because it’s more tangible than Chemistry.
Becca Mardis Yes, it’s probably Biology is far less abstract than Chemistry and Physics.
I think it’s just understanding the concepts and thereoms and then applying them to the real world
So much depends on the teacher, and the way you learn..... Chem is one difficult test.....
