If I am being honest, all the tips and tricks I learned from this video are by far the best ones I have heard or have received. Thank you so much. I hope I can make good use of your tips and actually get close to what you got on my own exam.
i completely agree with the "reading in your free time" tip-i also wanted to add that if you're reading to prep for the SATs, it's a good idea to read a wide range of literature from a while back. collegeboard typically doesn't use a ton of contemporary literature so make sure you're familiar with the way that older authors write (e.g., dickens, twain, emerson, dumas, brontë, etc.). it's also a good idea to read some translated foreign literature (spanish, french, and immigrant authors especially) as collegeboard sometimes likes to include those passages as well!
This is by far the BEST video I’ve seen on the SAT. Can you maybe do one explaining how you studied for the test? I’m doing the Khan Academy daily exercises but besides that I’m kind of lost on how to study. Thank you so much!
Currently waiting on my SAT score (delayed), but decided to watch some tips anyways haha. I think it was great that you mentioned bubbling in answers because it seems like something no one really mentions. For me, I like bubbling in answers after answering every passage since it allows me to reset my mind for the next passage. Of course, if I get stuck I move on to the next question or bubble in answers I am confident I am correct about. Another tip I saw that I use and hope that others use as well is that you don't need to read fast. I do my best to take my time to understand the passage rather than skimming through and hoping that I remember key information for the questions. It also helps me personally since I don't annotate and I won't need to considering I have a rough idea of where different information is to answer the questions. Of course, this boils down to how you best absorb the information. A tip if you have time before your SAT is to really understand the type of questions SAT is asking. If you're like me and prefer reading the passage thoroughly and then tackling the questions, this helps you anticipate what information to look for and eliminates the time you spend reading the questions. I still think reading the questions beforehand is a great strategy, but it doesn't work for everyone (like myself haha). Please take these tips with a grain of salt though, what works for one person may not work for another. Hopefully some people find this comment useful!
Last year I took the PSAT and all I did was watch your videos the night before and take a practice test. I got a 1490!! I also just got a 1590 on my SAT!! These videos are awesome! I also used the SAT Prep Black Book.
Wow! These may seem like simple tips, but they are very helpful. I also found the 2 part question strategy helpful since I always get stuck on those and usually end up proving the incorrect answer with some evidence from the text. Thank you so much and have a nice future!!
I came across your channel, and these videos are amazing! You structured everything so well. Good luck to everyone who's gonna take SAT! Also, idk why, but your voice sounds a little like Alexis Bledel's when she was young, so it felt like Rory Gilmore giving advice:)

I remember going to SAT bootcamp in Korea and they always mentioned, "read the blurb" or "read the question first, read the passage but dont read the answer choices!" Never really understood why they said that, and I never had a reason to because covid knocked all my exam dates off the table anyways, but here I am a year later on the end of my gap year, about to take the SAT for an ROTC scholarship. I finally get what they were saying after watching this, so BIG THANKS!!

I can't stress enough on the fact that you have provided the most realistic and easy-to-apply tricks among all the videos on SAT reading currently in youtube. I don't know if I'll get higher than my current 600 score in EBRW but you have definitely helped me to stress less. Exam is in 3 days. Godspeed to myself.
How'd it go?
@@eirdonne_ 760. Got into Dartmouth alhamdulillah.
Hello! I'm going to be taking my SAT in about 2 months and the reading portion has been such a bad part for me during my practice tests but these tips seem super helpful so I'll be applying them in my next study session :)
im trying to get a 1530+ on my SAT so I hope with these tips my reading section will be good!
Thank you :D
hey i just wanted to say thank you so much for this video you don’t understand how much it’s helped me. i just took the SAT today as i’m writing this. normally when i take the SAT i run out of time in the last 5-10 questions but this video genuinely helped me!! i literally finished all 52 questions to the reading and 42 to the writing 10 minutes before they both ended!!! you are a very good explainer and you deserve the world i genuinely am so grateful for you i never thought i would feel so confident in reading until this video. you are a lifesaver and you deserve the world ❤️
I’m so happy for you!! Thank you so much :))

You probably won’t see this but thank you so much😭😭 I’m practicing and I’ve been doing good than reading everything together and trying to figure it out later. Thank you and God bless you 💕
Tomorrow is my SAT exam and this was the best video that I have seen so far for the Reading Section. Thank you, Anna!!
How many points did you get?
this the best video about SAT ever, thank you! i hope I can get perfect SAT score :D
I watched this video just days before my sat and still managed to utilize most of your tips, breezing through the test and increasing my score by 60 points! Good looks!
Congrats!! That's so amazing :D
Thank you so much! And thank you for the helpful suggestions!
ngl it'd sound generalized considering 70-80% (i think) of these comments are appreciating you. but you deserve every bit of that. people's heartstrings are strumming at an all-time high, after seeing this video lmao. but, good luck with your college, and thanks for sharing this again!!
holy shit i have the sat in like one hour, and wtf that double tip is like the best thing my ears have ever heard
so how was the exam
this was so help full!!! i scored a 930 and that was so bad 😭 i’m trying to bring it up to 1100 + i take my SAT in june & that’s more than enough time to bring up points.
how did you do
Hello from Azerbaijan and this was the best video i have seen ever about Sat reading .Thank you ☺
I already took my SATs last year and I'm here to tell you all that you can do it!! Follow your dreams, but don't let your dreams be just dreams, make sure you work for it and don't procrastinate!
yo, that advice you gave about circling the quotes is a blessing literally. I'm really scared cause I'm gonna do my first PSAT exam tomorrow (I know for a fact SAT is pretty similar so I'm looking for tips) and I think I wouldn't know or no one would tell me this if I didn't watch this and I think it will help a ton so thank you a lot.
Me and you my friend. I never took the PSAT freshman year because we were online so tomorrow's my first time. I wish you luck
@@Mecal21 EXACTLY THE SAME ALSO KInDA LATE BUT GL TO YOU TOO
Thank you so much. I tested a few months ago, just to test myself, but I got the highest reading and writing score I ever got
Congratulations--that's amazing!! :D
i’m writing the SAT this morning and you have no idea how much this helps😭😭
If I am being honest, all the tips and tricks I learned from this video are by far the best ones I have heard or have received. Thank you so much. I hope I can make good use of your tips and actually get close to what you got on my own exam.
Thank you Anna! I have my test tomorrow and this is probably my favorite sat video I have found so far.
i completely agree with the "reading in your free time" tip-i also wanted to add that if you're reading to prep for the SATs, it's a good idea to read a wide range of literature from a while back. collegeboard typically doesn't use a ton of contemporary literature so make sure you're familiar with the way that older authors write (e.g., dickens, twain, emerson, dumas, brontë, etc.). it's also a good idea to read some translated foreign literature (spanish, french, and immigrant authors especially) as collegeboard sometimes likes to include those passages as well!
^^ this !
the way a free 11 minute video on youtube helped so much more than an SAT prep workshop that i paid 100$ for and was 5 weeks long
These are excellent tips to conquer the reading section!! Wishing you all success and a high score, guys! You can do it!
This is by far the BEST video I’ve seen on the SAT. Can you maybe do one explaining how you studied for the test? I’m doing the Khan Academy daily exercises but besides that I’m kind of lost on how to study. Thank you so much!
My first video on SAT stuff (My "SAT Journey") goes over how I approached studying! Hope that helps :D
Thanks for sharing your tips!! :D
We did find it really helpful. Big 😊
Really thankful for tips. Believe me this is the best Sat reading video ever.
This helped me so much thank you! On all my practice tests I got 700 on reading and writing but on my first test I scored 760!!
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the dono!
I came across your channel, and these videos are amazing! You structured everything so well. Good luck to everyone who's gonna take SAT! Also, idk why, but your voice sounds a little like Alexis Bledel's when she was young, so it felt like Rory Gilmore giving advice:)
Of everything, reading tests have always been my biggest weakness. Thank you for these tips though, especially the one about the two-part questions!
thank you anna for taking the time to make this playlist. really has helped a lot! i learned so much from your videos. aiming high for saturday's test woohooo!
Stop you’re so cute and humble, and you make such a daunting test seem so simple and approachable. Thank you girl :)
i love the way you laid everything out and your explanations were simple and straight to the point! Thank you so much for doing this
omg thank you!! Back in october i got a 1300, and hadn’t studied, but ur tips helped me get a 1420 😊
I'm a very last minute guy decided to watch this video 20 min before my exam without studying or taking a SINGLE practice exam. I don't regret the 11 minutes
i genuinely love you for this, i literally only got a 1580 because of ur video series!!❤️❤️
I finally get what they were saying after watching this, so BIG THANKS!!
by far the best sat reading video I watched I swear this helped me so much and I recommend it to everyone who asks me abt sat stuff now lmaoo thank you so much!
The PSAT is in a few days for me and I need to thank you so much! While this is still just the practice, my goal is to get into MIT eventually. They require a high SAT score, so ima need to use all the bs possible on the thing to get through it!
I'm taking the SAT tomorrow, thank you.
Hi Anna! I've been watching some of your videos for tips since I'll be taking the SAT's soon. Your videos have been super helpful and you seem to also have a great personality! I was wondering if you were ever planning on making a video going through the SAT reading section and showing a step by step walk through of how you would complete each section in real time. If it ever happens, great, if not, it's totally fine and understandable. Loving the videos you've made so far! Super helpful!
Hi! Thanks so much--I do plan on making a series of videos like that soon (one video for each passage!) :D
This made so much sense! Thanks for the awesome video and congrats on ace-ing the test ♠️
Haha thanks! 🤍💜♠️
