I have Hashimoto's disease, and my nails split as soon as any amount of nail length is achieved, but I enjoy your videos so much. Perhaps one day, my nails will grow out healthy and strong.
I have psoriasis and it impacts my nails in a similar way, my thumbsnails grow out misshapen. They are so brittle bits just peel off sometimes. I have to put gel on just so that ppl don't think I have nail fungus
@@DisasterDIYistin the same boat here, mine detach from the nail plate at the ends and sides. I use rubber base to keep them from snapping off and use gel polish on top to disguise the ugliness. All thanks to Suzys teachings I have lovely looking strong nails 😊
So sorry. 😞 So are you saying g you can't wear any kind of products?
What color polish ad brand please. I’m dying over it!🎉
Same
Could you do a video about caring for thin and brittle nails? I've always had extremely thin and weak nails, ever since I was a kid. I want to know how best to care for them and what products will work best for me
Me too ✋️
This video popped up the second i put on youtube to paint my nails with some Holotaco! Thank you!
WAIT ME TOO LOL I just got some magnetic polishes from Holo Taco!
off topic but your voice is so soft i could fall asleep to it
Some people have naturally oily nails. They usually have strong flexible nails that dont peel. Unfortunately, it does require thorough prep and still may not last as long. But they'll look great.
I have very oily, flexible nails. One thing that helps my gel polish last longer is using a layer of semi-hard builder gel, which stops my nails from bending as much.
Thank you! I stopped wearing acrylics a few years ago, but I miss having painted nails. I'll try to paint my natural nails, but they always peel off in like a day. I wasn't ridding my nails of oil before and I probably wasn't waiting long enough between coats. I'll try again and be really careful with nail prep this time!
Love that you use Holo Taco
One of my FAV POLISH Brands
Unrelated, I purchased your slow cure monomer, it’ll arrive Monday!🙌🏼You’re videos are so relaxing & educational! Thank you for your lovely videos!🥹
Love your videos and voice. Been having a really rough time and this just lifted my spirits to see tou put up a new video. I'm only a novice, but have found your instruction very easy to follow and you're so sweet! Thank you
This makes me feel much better in knowing I'm not doing anything wrong when my polish chips after a couple of days. Thanks!
This is the tutorial I’ve been waiting for!! My solutions for oily nails 🥰
Ur videos are so relaxing and soothing they help my anxiety 😅❤
Suzie your nails looks so fab.
Even though Steve didn't say much during the video, he seems to have a very sweet nature about him.
I was amazed at the difference that proper prep made in the longevity of my manicures - I went from my polishing my nails every week due to chipping to now routinely wearing (regular) nail polish for 2 weeks, with noticeable chipping only in the last day or so and usually only on one or two fingers. Occasionally I've been able to make a manicure last for 3 weeks before it chips enough to bother me! It's nice for those busy seasons of life when I can't sit down to redo my nails every week.
so many people I see on the channel - that's great 👍, but also I'm looking forward to Grant♥
As a nail tech beginner 😊thanks for your information
I’ve had both strong nails and weak, bendy nails (chronically the latter.) When my nails were strong my polish could easily last a full week. However, since my nails typically bend a lot they may not last a day, always chipping on the tips which experience the most wear & tear. So I think the flexibility of the nail is another factor on why polish may not last as long. I always prep my nails with acetone and they still chip, but will pay more attention to doing it next time.
Yes and in that case I could recommend a layer of gel etc.
but this video was just covering reasons it may chip from a DIYS point of view and how they can quickly solve
Love Steve! Thank you both
You need a good acid free bonder like YN Bonder, KINND nail Primer or any acid free bonder! Also you need a really strong topcoat and basecoat like Zoya Armor Topcoat and Zoya Anchor basecoat!
I use 2-3 coats of Zoya basecoat, basecoats do chip off my oily nails really fast! UK 🇬🇧
I find the best is BRIDGE by NCE
This one got saved to my essential nail videos!
This was nice to watch I really like how quiet he was. Found this helpful in how gentle you are. My finger maintenance is on the sidewalls. I get rough skin and occasionally a hangnail. I’m still learning and improving, but it’s a hard learning curve when the lesson is an evening in Neosporin and a bandaid.
Great info! Cheers!
I've seen some UA-camrs use the dry Russian manicure to get rid of the cuticles and cut the dead tissues and was wondering what your feelings on those kind of manicures are.
I’m doing research for a video to talk about the dos and don’ts - so much controversy
Thanks Suzie !
Hello I was wondering why does my nail peels when they paint it with gel polish
Usually through improper prep such as poor cuticle removal, not removing oils off nails fully or thick layers of polish, not buffing the nails properly
This happens to me too
Make sure to prep you nails first and use a gel uv base coat if you are using gel polish. Also make sure that the polish is fully cured properly and use a gel top coat and cap the ends of your nails with the top coat.
Well you can follow all the tips in this video and THEN buff the surface of the natural nail to prep for the gel polish to adhere correctly
Do you have any advice for people who wear gloves all day for work? My nails peel badly with no product on them and when I wear polish it immediately chips.
This is helpful
Nice to see a guy who doesn't chew his nails off!
Girl it’s like you heard me complaining about my naturals mot lasting a few days!
💙💀💙
I did - I’m listening 😂
Great video
question: why dont you usually cut the cuticles? if you do, could you please tell me how? i’m t always looks bad once im done cutting them.
The sound of you shaping the nails with the file was weirdly like ASMR to me
Would love to see a video on someone who has wide nails ( me 🙋🏽♀️ I’m that wide nail person) it’s so hard to figure out the right shape for my wide nails. Especially my right middle finger as it’s shaped weird from writing.
watching this while i paint my nails with holo taco!
I would be interested in seeing what to do in the opposite situation. I have extremely dry nails, that are very prone to staining. I usually have to do a double coat of base coat to prevent staining.
Yup that’s right - you can also use cuticle or nail oil on them
@@NailCareerEducation I do push my cuticles back, if I have any, but 8f I don't then I just use base/color/top coat.
Of i Paint with gel polish happen to Stay ONLY a day or two.
If i put regular nail polish it Stay ONLY a few hours.
Cute nails! purple sparkle tooo.❤ Love halo taco too.🎉 I know whom that is.😢
Nice nails. I'd love to see a whole manicure.
Oooh I just did one couple weeks ago
How To Give Your Nan a Manicure at home
It also has to do with how you treat your nails too. Nails are jewels, not tools. If you treat them like tools, they'll wear like tools.
She just made me want to use nail polish on my natural nails.
Cool 😀
Another friendly face. Thanks Suzie!!
HOLO TACO
I only ever use acetone and do the necessary prep but my nail polish still chips
Check your acetone - make sure it is all acetone and no added things
@@NailCareerEducation 100% acetone… so the only conclusion is my nails are just damaged isn’t it? ☹️
I do fullcover nails and I use gel and it gets bubbly how can I fix that
Don’t stir gel it can create bubbles
I love your videos so I thought I could perhaps start filling my own nails. I purchased your kit but had some questions. I emailed and left voice messages and got zero response. I returned my items because the poor customer service. You should work on that.
Email me directly - somethings not right. Let’s check the phone number and dates you called. Because we answer every phone message and email. If you called on a Thursday night we won’t connect till Monday- that’s the only delay
