Received my non-pre order unit today and it comes with the same silicone brush, when I reached out to Dreame they said that is sold separately and is not available yet. I had the L20 for a month and do like the X30 better so far. The smaller base, refillable detergent container, base plate cleaner, and extend mop are the biggest changes.
I reached out to them because the website promotes the vacuum with that feature. Literally above the $1699 price!!!! Even kids toys and commercials say batteries and accessories not included. So mad about this. Also my mop extend wasn’t working. I had to manually force it, turn it on, and reset the app setting on and off and it’s finally working.

@@bigjimmy428 yep. They sent me a screen shot underlining it. And I sent them a screen shot of their website highlighting how misleading that is. They did not continue that conversation.
Great review...very accurate !!..I have the L20 Ultra and find it amazing..in fact there's no way I would want to be without it now.. unless it was to upgrade to the X30 perhaps !!..🤣

FYI it's purchaseable from Aliexpress and Dreame Customer service sent me to aliexpress for it. It works, but still hair can tangle... but 1.5 weeks in, no issues so far.
Long hair on carpet can be a challenge for any vacuum. I set it to 2 passes and maximum suction and it works ok. However, usually I use my Dyson every few days and use the robot to clean up when I don't have time.
I can't speak to the types of finished you have. I've got real wood, but it's relatively new. It's no more aggressive than normal mopping. If you're concerned, I would definitely check the pads before mopping to make sure they haven't picked up a small stone or something that could scratch your floor. That goes for any type of mop or robot.
@vacuumnerds that would be cool. A head to head comparison would be great. They look different enough to make a cool video. I could solve my fomo and get both lol.
have it for a weeks, i thought it have tri-cut brush but it's not, it's separate. The design is beautiful but nothing different with L20 Ultra without tri-cut brush, and Tri-cut brush can use with L20, L10 seri too. Tri-cut good to cut hair, not pet fur. Seft clean base station is not amazing as advertise. Next time i will try roborock
I've been using it as my main robot for a while now. The tricut brush is just OK, but cat hair doesn't get tangled for me. Overall I'm very happy with it.
The missing functionality is to be able to wash out the dirty water and refill automatically (like a washing machine). Other than that it is a good device (expensive though)
When the mop is dirty, the robot will go back to the dock, wash the mop, and then send it out again. You will have to empty the dirty water tank manually. There are some new robots that will hook up directly to your plumbing system.
I agree that for an absolutely top-of-the-range model this should be a feature, in my view perfectly acceptable if it is an optional extra since people who can’t locate their base station near a tap and drain wouldn’t want to pay extra for it to be in the baseline spec. Given it isn’t a feature though I’ve been giving it a bit of thought and my conclusion is that it would be pretty easy to add that capability myself especially with the space inside the big water tanks that the X30 dock has. For the auto-empty of the waste tank it is easy to find small automated 12V bilge pumps (intended for boats) with a water level switch built in that could simply be dropped into the dirty water tank with the discharge pipe running out of the top (if you want to make it neat but accept that you would void the warranty it would be easy to drill holes at the top to get the discharge pipe out. For the auto-fill on the clean water tank simply plumb it to a float valve and mount that maybe half way up the clean water tank so that it is constantly topped up to that level. Having looked at specific components that I might use I think you’d get plenty of change out of $50 for all the parts required.
@@scrapped01 My videos are high effort and cost a lot to produce. It does not cost-justify to spend $600 on a vacuum + editing costs for a video that hardly anyone will watch.
I haven't tested the S8 yet, but it's in my garage. The Dreame X30 Ultra is the robot I use as my main robot now. Overall it's the best I've tested for my home (wtih mostly hardwood).

Just a note, the tri-cut brush is to be an aftermarket upgrade only - and has not yet been released.

How well does it do with long cat hair pressed into the carpet? Thats something ive noticed the x20 ultra couldn't pick up

Can u disable the voice entirely like no response back and also in remote view or will it be announcing you are on remote view the entire time?
I think remote view always announces itself. I don't think you can turn it off.
is X30 safe for natural wood floor like parquet treated with oil or varnish - no scrathes?

Can you make comparasion with Rowenta 15.60 and Dyson V15?
Rowenta is a very small selling brand in the US...
The cutting brush will not come with any production models. It’s sold separately.
