Thank you for sharing Stefanie and being so open and honest. I am back on Lexapro as of 1.5 months ago. I feel a big difference with my anxiety for sure.
I can totally relate with what you mean about "coming from a Hispanic family" 🥺 Briefly mentioned my troubles to my mom and I instantly regretted it (& I'm married with a family of my own! 🤦) I'm glad this is working for you. I was prescribed this but I decided I won't be starting it (hence, how I stumbled on your video). It's a huge commitment and I'm really looking at a more holistic approach. I wish you the best! 🥰
Gracias. My daughter is 9 and just started on lexapro. Totally understand your comment on coming from a Hispanic family. Specially when it comes to Los abuelos and their thoughts on managing anxiety. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing. I am living through the severe depression second time in my life. First time i was able to get off 10mg Lexapro after 3 months and have been relatively happy for 7 yrs. Now my chronic health problem started to limit me mmore again and I fell into it again. currently week 5 on 10mg lexapro and start feeling better again. however most important is to use that window of chemical calmness to invest into sensible self improvement.
@michail1963 how are you doing on the lexapro now? I was on it about a year and a half ago. I got off and was feeling great until a few months ago when I had a severe panic attack. Since then, my anxiety has been really bad again. I started Lexapro again about five weeks ago. I started on 5 mg and then went up to 7.5 mg for the last two weeks. I am still having a lot of anxiety that I am trying to fight through. I have had panic attacks at night the last five nights and have not had a good night sleep in over a week. I’m not sure if it’s just slow to work this time but I don’t feel like I had this much panic the last time I took it. Just curious to see how you are doing now that you started the medication again. Thank you and hope you are still doing well.❤
All the symptoms you have because of your anxiety I have plus more. I feel seen hearing that I’m not the only one experiencing these types of symptoms. I’m hoping this medication works for me 🤞🏽
Hi what else do you feel ? Hopefully I can help with navigating those symptoms but the medication for me was definitely like a bandage to my symptoms but I was at my worst and needed some regulation now I am no longer on the medication and it’s been more than 2 months
So I started on 10 mg for about a month and then went up to 20 mg and that’s been working pretty well for me! But like I said I have good and bad days , I do not want to keep going up on medication I know its a working progress.
@@estefaniaamador2971 I found 10mg very strong no what you mean alright I hope it works for you 20 is high enough I smoke CBD weed at night find it helps me chill out after my day
I did not when I first started the medication I just felt it was instantly helping me I only felt a headache for maybe 1 week and that’s all I felt upon starting but I would give it 2 weeks and if you’re still feeling this way definitely talk to your doctor
This is going back 3 years ago for me if I remember correctly I went from working consistently since I was 16 until I started feeling different I had stopped working I want to say 2 months but it truly felt like forever I began working part time 25 hrs under without medication for about 2 weeks then that’s when I started on lexapro since then I have been working consistently I hope this helps you 😊
Hi! So I am currently on 17.5 now I am trying to decrease the medication and see if I can manage feeling stable with a lower dose :) but it’s an ongoing battle for sure some days I feel calm as can be and other days my heart is racing a lot. You’re not alone ! 💜
It takes time for medication to work, so I would give it a full month to see the full effect of the medication unless it is giving you severe side effects I would then stop.
@@stellity88 Yes I’m exactly the same ! I have days where I feel very relaxed, my nervous system Is calm and then I have days where my body feels physically anxious. This is why therapy helps too so you can learn to lessen the anxiety when it comes. I get you I hear you!

I have been taking it for a month now 7,5mg. It is helping me like 60-70%. But I still have bad days. But not as bad as before.
