Thank you for making this video. I'm only on day 12 and the side effects are a lot to handle. You've given me hope that it'll be worth it down the road. ❤
Hey! I have really accepting parents who knew I was taking all of the necessary steps to reduce anxiety (working out, eating healthy, taking me time, socializing) and they understood the medication would improve my quality of life. Def go over the benefits vs. the potential cons with them. Goodluck!
Hey how is it going now? I am on 5MG and its going good. Just have so many times the thought how will it go when i stop the meds. Do you have that also?
I have been prescribed it, but reluctant to try because of side effects and the difficulties people face when trying to get off of them. Do you plan on taking them for years to come ?
I’m so scared to try this as I just started adhd and anxiety meds 2 months ago. But my memory problems! My agitation & romantic relationships & reactive all this! Is stuff I’m going through
Hello, I liked the video a lot and I relate to your experience. I started lexapro 10 mg 3 weeks ago. I was wondering when you first started to notice the full effect of the medication?
@@samee354 hi, I was on lexapro for about a month. The medication made me too tired so I stopped. I now take clomipramine for ocd. It definitely decreased anxiety tho
Hey girl! Thanks for this video. I was wondering if you ever get worried of the long term effects of the drug? I know it does change your brain chemistry. I honestly just want to be on it for a year and hope my anxiety improves once I graduate and this year has just been difficult In general. Just scared it can become addicting or I become dependent.
Hey! Yes I totally understand the concern.. I've tried to go off of the drugs and honestly did not go well for me. I do not know a lot about long term effects because for my mental health I NEED the medication. But def something I'm gonna research.
Hi! I was wondering, since you mentioned you started noticing mood changes around the time of your period, did you ever try the birth control pill at any point?
I'm on zoloft. I feel absolutely nothing 😕. But it feels good to get a break. I'm super creative on it for some weird reason. I also feel more intelligent cause I don't overthink shit. Its been a crazy personality change. You're really good looking by the way. Wouldn't have guessed you needed the zoloft 😅
Yeah, it does numb you out a bit.. I'm glad you feel more creative and intelligent. Maybe the lack of anxiety keeps you from being anxious about creating? I can relate to that. And thanks! Anxiety doesn't discriminate haha
I start on the 16th of this month (don't know which antidepressent i will get) but i like watching success stories makes me feel better lol hopefully i get a success story too!
Honestly, I have gained 3 pounds in the past year but I don't think it was due to the medicine although the increased mood and decreased anxiety/worry could definitely be a contributing factor in eating a bit more.
I've watch about 10 or 15 videos of people describing their experience on lexapro, and none of them seem depressed to me. They are well groomed, look happy, talk normal etc. If I tried doing a video like this, I think it would be obvious I was depressed. I've had many people comment that I look depressed and sound depressed. I would also look nervous which you don't. You're good looking, but the dog is ugly!

I’m sooo nervous to take one, but I’m just considering it.
Why are you nervous?
Hello there! I hope this finds you well. Can I ask how are you doing these days? Can you update us with your current mental health situation please?
How do you introduce the idea of taking medication to your parents.

I'm on lexapro right now. I'm on my 2nd week and I feel a lot better though sometimes I feel anxious but lesser than before.
Hello! I’m glad to hear it’s lesser than before. It def. takes time to set in. Are you still using lexapro at this time?
How are you now? Also what dosage of Lexapro helped you
always useful to hear these stories! do you think it has helped you physically as well, as in relieving muscle tension or something like that?
Yes definitely helps me physically in terms of lessening my shakiness!
Hi sam i hope You're doing well i want to ask you i wish to get your answer ?

My mother just died and I need something to help with the grief.....I have really bad anxiety since she died........
I would definitely suggest trying an SSRI in conjunction with therapy!
