- In this video I have installed Apple Carplay radio to my Golf Mk 7 Trendline 2014. I had Composition Colour Radio initially. Installing is really easy and doable.

Thanks for sharing! This is exactly what I needed! I have some questions for you. 1) Does the radio come with the option to set the tire pressures? In my car, you set the tire pressure monitor on the main radio screen. Does this radio come with that option? 2) Also, how good is the quality of the microphone on the radio when you call people? I also have a Golf 7 with Composition Color and the things I am missing the most in my car are hands free and Carplay. I have been looking for options for quite some time now and your video was indeed insightful and useful!
If possible, I would like to ask you three questions:
1. where did you purchase this unit?
2. does the radio work properly?
3. how does the quality of the new unit compares to the original one? Has it been working well since you installed it?

1. I bought this unit on AliExpress or Alibaba from China.
2. It works perfectly.
3.The quality is even better than the original unit to be honest. This is my second unit now and they works perfectly, even faster than original.
BUT there is ONLY one issue I have with it is that, my GOlF 7 has tyre pressure sensor which I was able to set on old Composition radio but with this new Apple CarPlay unit I get tyre pressure sensor error on the board computer.
I haven’t solved that yet, I need to go to the dealer to find what they say, I have been to a mechanic he told me that it can be fixed with computer by the dealer.

Regarding the tyre pressure sensor - that is unfortunate though, but hopefully you will be able to address that issue. Will probably look more into the units available in AliExpress/Alibaba. @ Hi, sorry i think it’s a misunderstanding. I totally understand the website, unfortunately the link for the product you recommended has only English, Portuguese, Russian, German, Spanish version of that Carplay Radio. Do you know if there’s a French version because I can’t find it

Was your old Composition Colour with integrated bluetooth. Mine is wihout, so I don‘t know if it‘s compatible… 🥲
The composition colour that is provided in the (1.2 TSI) golf mk7 doesn't come with bluetooth, some people add a part soldered to the unit to make it with bluetooth which is not recommended...
