A Toyota that has V12, rides better then a Rolls Royce, reliable air suspension, looks like a Lincoln town car from the back, affordable, and is fairly respectable in the market…fuck! Sign me up!!!
I've often fantasized about importing one of these for myself here in the States. Of course, they're extremely reliable but eventually something would need repairing and I wonder how it would be to find parts. I suppose with the Internet, it shouldn't be too challenging.
@@t-boi8327 1) how expensive? 2) how many miles can it do before things need to be replaced as all the ones I have found have had over 150,000 miles so idk
@@username8878 you can find decent ones between 15k and 20k, they can last up to 200k miles without any engine trouble if maintained properly from there you’d have to replace parts in the engine
It's a misconception that the surface finish of the seat is "not even leather", it's deliberately made to be the more luxurious finish. There is a tradition from the time of horse-drawn carriages that the standard for building a vehicle is to use leather, a hard and durable material, for the driver's seat, and a softer and more luxurious one for the passenger seat. This is not a Japanese method, but a common practice in the West as well.
Not bad. Not bad at all. We utterly look forward to a proper road test. It's funny you should mention how the ride quality bests that of her European peers. It's prodded us to go get one. Eventually.
Nice can’t wait til I can get mine in the USA. Saving up and hopefully I will be able to snag one in 2022-2025. Please post the link in the description of the importer you used.
And its going to because of you Americans the prices of these cars are going to sky rocket, hopefully I can find the right one before they become to expensive. But Ive used "Car from Japan" in the past and they are awesome, they pretty much walk you through the process and most of the cars aren't auction cars they are cars being sold from dealerships or private sales. meaning they are in great condition and are up to date on repairs.
That is an imagined bird called a Phenix. The Phoenix is a legendary bird that appears in Chinese mythology. Also known as the immortal bird, it symbolizes new life and rebirth. It is also known as a symbol of nobility and power and was used as a symbol by the Chinese emperors. In Japan, the Phoenix is often treated as a being that brings good fortune and prosperity, and its figure is depicted in artworks and architecture. It is also adopted as the emblem of the Toyota Century, symbolizing the car's luxury and dignity. The Phoenix is respected in many cultures for its beauty and charisma.
Toyota set up Lexus as their high end brand but kept the very best for themselves with this Century. Probably the finest car ever built. Simply bullet proof reliability and totally luxurious.
Thankyou for a great video. I would love to buy on of these but can you tell me how easy are they to get serviced due to the unique engine and parts. Would a Toyota or Lexus dealer be able to look after? Many thanks.
You'd have to be more hands on but any part can be ordered from your local Toyota dealer. All need is the vin number from the plaque. The engine parts shouldn't be too bad with it having origins from a Supra
Bridgestone REGNO GR-XI(maybe) is the world quietest tyre made in Japan. If GR-XII is fitted on your Century, it is quite lucky because it has been refined and currently sold here in Japan. If there is a Japanese notation that you don't understand, please ask me anything.
Hello, good sir. We awfully enjoyed your review, as the Century is a car many struggle to dislike. Myself included. We were wondering if you could tell us how well the carriage holds itself on rough ground. Than you.
Here in New Zealand I see a lotta 1970's to early 1980's squarish Nissan and Toyotas. People lower them and pimp them out. They all have this really sinister Mafia'ish look. Now my neighbor a crazy Irishman has one.

driving to Nashville shortly to pick up my new old 1997 Century! They are now being imported as classics here, but still very, very rare. Exciting! 🚘
My God, the panel fit… Got to love the Japanese craftsmanship.

I'd love to get a century. I like rare and different vehicles. would you share the cost of shipping or the car cost. Thanks
Make sure you improve it way more by changing the oils to Amsoil. This will make it smoother and more reliable.
You've impeccable taste. I would have every car you've reviewed! Please do some more reviews I like your content. Hope all is well best wishes :)
Fit and finish on quality Japanese cars is as good if not better than anything from Europe.
I just uploaded my vlog of my 1992 Century import. It's sooo sleek. You make me want to get a V12.
I’d love to import a Century too…maybe in a couple of years :P

You can ask your local toyota dealer to bring you parts from jap, they’ll come within a week, my friend does that

Salve, sir. We were sort of hoping for a follow-up review, if we may be bold to say.
Toyoda, not Toyota. Thanks you for putting this on line.

Blacken gril rim
This one looks like a similar copy to the W140 S Class
Looks nothing like a w140
Doesn’t look too much like it but the W140 is absolutely incredible
This is based on the Century itself which was launched back in 1967.
Looks old cheap.Toyota is lazy to design their cars.
The car is supposed to look classic that’s literally the point
It is intended too look traditional
That's the whole point for this car. It's supposed to look boring, ordinary, cheap and un-fancy, while providing the luxury.
