It does still have a little toe in but not nearly as much. Not sure if it's possible to eliminate it completely on this car. I'm not really having any problems with stability right now so I'll leave it for now👍
@@FullThrottleRC LOL dumb me didn't realize this was posted almost a year ago! I did check the followings episodes and it came out awesome! Great video series! Kinna of want to build my own dragster now...
Cool video man.i figured I would try to watch every one of these videos being that I'm gonna be building one of these soon.gotta Finnish this last slash build first.
Perfect! I have no complaints about a locked diff. If you are worried about permanently locking the diff, you could use a super high viscosity oil and should get the same effect.
I believe it's just a lot of torque and momentum in such a small area. Even full size drag cars have some flex in them, but their frames are "braced" better so it's a lot less substantial.
You'd probably want some shorter arms front and rear as well as shorter rear axles. I've seen a few people use B5 stuff on the DB10 so maybe the same could work for you. After that it's just a body and wheels and tires
I've had a couple people tell me that now but I'm not sure that I understand why. Here's a quote straight from a CompetitionX article : "Less Toe In will also increase staightaway speed, as the rear tires will scrub less."
FullThrottleRC I'd agree about straightaway speed of you were dealing with a spec motor speed rig. But this isn't. It's not gonna be doing 100+mph. It's gonna be going from zero to 132ft theoretically. So majority of the purpose of that no prep is getting and going from a to b. The toe helps you gain traction.
@@nathansams7894 I don't actually have a gauge to measure it currently but I think I'm getting more than enough traction with the amount of toe in I'm running now. I think the car definitely has a little toe in, but it's pretty minimal, like I said I don't have a way to measure it accurately 😅😅
The rear toe in helps with stability bro!

Rear was correct already. White is the color you should pick.

Two tone the paint job. Destroyer grey on bottom and satin black on top or the destroyer grey all around, that would look pretty awsome.
That's a good idea for the next one. That body is already painted. Check out the video to see how it came out!
Midnight blue always looks tough.
Hmmm maybe the next one. Check of the rest of the build series to see what color it ended up.
Do you have a pro sc10 and can you let me know if the idler for the b5 fits?
I really don’t want to buy a 15 dollar set for a 7 dollar part...
I don't have a pro sc10. Sorry
How thats what i like
How is the locked diff working for you I’ve been getting mixed reviews about it?
Perfect! I have no complaints about a locked diff. If you are worried about permanently locking the diff, you could use a super high viscosity oil and should get the same effect.
Ok I locked my diff and the problem I’m having now is the car spinning out from stop and rolling after trying to go faster.
@@lilqtie152003 You'll have to do some tuning now (gearing, slipper, radio).
Its challenging but part of the fun!
Got you thanks
@@FullThrottleRC where do you get the silicone putty?
Wine red would look great on the car
Check out my latest video 😜
Hi brow is The Gear diff The Same b5m and b6 is that Same thx Manuel
I don't really know
Fire red with yellow fade
Keep watching! I've completed this build and painted the body already. You can find the rest of the build videos on my channel.
I can't believe your getting flex lolol

What are those body mounts??
SC5M body mounts
Thanks bro
What pinion and spur are you choosing for the 7 turn motor
I did a few test with the 81t spur and 20t pinion that it came with. I wasn't 100% satisfied with it though so I'll try out a 27t pinion next
@@FullThrottleRC could u please send a link to the wheels and tires
@@dylandobucki1140 the wheels are proline titus 2.2 beadlocks and the tires are proline primes 2.2 truck tires
you can run the sensor wire under the battery
I did notice there was a channel there for a wire but I rather it along the side for now since it has to plug into the side of the motor anyway
What Gear have you 82t do 23 thx Manuel
I'm running a 82t spur and 23t pinion

Hi What Body Mount you have by The Car thx
I'm using body mounts from the DB10 right now. Bolt right up in the rear, and the front lines up with a little bit of trimming
What chassi is that ?
SC5M
Can you guys tell me how to convert an sc10 to drag car
You'd probably want some shorter arms front and rear as well as shorter rear axles. I've seen a few people use B5 stuff on the DB10 so maybe the same could work for you. After that it's just a body and wheels and tires
Where can I get silicone putty
I used the silicone ear plugs used for swimming.
@@FullThrottleRC thanx
hey so i have a b5m drag build too, but it's really slow. i have a mamba x w/ 5700kv.. any help would be appreciated
Definitely start with gearing. The pinion to spur ratio needs to be somewhere in the 3.0:1 to 4.5:1 range to start.
FullThrottleRC I've tried a whole bunch, but when i put the same electronics into my other one it's way faster.. same gear ratio
@@BatasGarage206 something sounds way off about the car. I really cant suggest much else without testing and playing around with different things.

Aliminium is too soft to use it for gears. Steel and plastic is what does the job.
The aluminum gear has held up with no problems for well over 100 passes now
@@FullThrottleRC 100 passes is about 20km, that's less than two runs with my 4s SC10.

I used the transmission that was in the car when I bought it. I believe it's a 3 gear lay down transmission
