I love how Kurama's super isn't really flashy, it just gets the job done as quickly as possible. Classic Kurama. Also love how Hiei has two supers based on how he uses the dragon, very nice touch!
Oh, wowwww. I only watched bits of the anime when I was a kid, but I remember seeing this game being demoed at a game store thinking it looked so cool and really wanting to ask the store lady if I could play it. Completely forgot about it until this video. The nostalgia that never was!
In the 90’s, we neighborhood kids used to camp inside the neighborhood computer shop and play this game. All of us gambled, betting P1 a game. We all had to learn the wall juggles exclusive to Yusuke, Hiei, and Genkai so we can win our games. Oh, good times.

With my brohers played this games so much time.... we found a lot of combos... what a great desing! saddly most gamers dont know this wonder. In local multiplayer (4 players) you can play forever.

In this game you can see the foundation of what would eventually become Guardian Heroes. Treasure were very efficient with their developing process, it seems.
Most of the roster: "So I'm gonna hit you with this super and you're gonna take like 50% maybe less, Seem like a fair deal?" Elder Toguro: "Alright I've hit you with my super, now get up and show me what you've got. Oh you're dead."
Not to take away from the fun factor, cause it was really fun, especially in 4 players, but the graphics are dated even on release. The Nintendo games looked way better, and it's not even a comparison to the next gen 3DO game released the same year (not a fair comparison due to hardware).
I played all Yu Yu Hakusho in snes because I only have Snes. But nothing compared to Yu Yu Hakusho in Genesis. We often played together in my friend house.
Is no Devs or Publishing Company that wanna revive this game and remake for next gen .. ? It would be blast at the right hand or make it open world rpg.

トレジャーの遺産の一つ。一切歪みがないバストアップ絵は当時のキャラゲーとしては珍しい。試合中のキャラ達も細部は割り切って、当時の映像機器による滲みを計算に入れた印象派的な表現で描いている。
I literally played thousands of battles with this one. The gameplay, combos, and super moves are so satisfying.
Didn’t know this game existed back then. It looks good though for the year it was made. A remake would be simply awesome.

One of the best mega drive VS fighter game too bad this never got a release for the west. And 2 vs 2 player battle is awesome

Just personal opinion, Yu Yu Hakusho game in MD look cleaner than in SNES.I had one megadrive console with few cartridge games including YYH.
