- There are some amazing companies out there that really care about us, about the environment and animal welfare and I wanted to illustrate some wonderful ethical brands and products for everyday living in this video that truly deserve support.
In general some things to look out for on labels to determine whether the product fully considers your wellbeing, the environment and animals, are;
- ethically traded ingredients - fair trade
- vegan, cruelty free
- biodegradable, recyclable, reusable,
- ‘natural’, non-toxic, organic
- paraben free, sodium laurel sulphate free
- no synthetic fragrances or colourings
- palm oil free

I love your content! You're really trying to spread the word out there, unlike some other UA-camrs. Keep it up! On another note, despite my efforts in being the most ethical and eco-friendly as I can, I live with a family who doesn't seem to care as much. I've been vegan for over 3 years, and I've been trying to convince my parents to do the same. My mom is a vegetarian, but my dad is still an avid meat eater and refuses to try vegan food. They also purchase non-organic things with so much packaging because it is cheaper, and when I try to make ways to purchase organic things or purchasing produce without putting them in individual plastic bags, I always get scolded for "being picky". It really sucks because as a teen, I don't think I have the ability to influence my parents at all. We aren't wealthy either, and so my parents purchase things that are cheap for us, which also means nasty dish soaps full of chemicals, etc. What can I do? I want them to live with me when I'm an adult.
I have the same dilemma. My mother rarely eats meat & my father is a crazy carnivore who refuses to eat vegan food. I too would like to know how to solve this problem. (: Hope someone can help.

+Wendy as there is also like ela dos, try to eat good ethical meat. Try to ger to eat ones a week no meat, ore at leats vegeterian. That helpt with my brother, father and husband, they all love meat. 😊 try to go sloly and step by step for them. If we know the country there are good ideas. As i buye my meat now directly from the farmer (its biological and high quality), its expenciver so we eat less ☺️ anyway every step is a better one then non 😊! 👋🏽

Another app that is available in Australia and recently in NZ is 'Good on You'. It has a list of brands and rates them based on labour, environmental impact and animal cruelty.

This is so helpful, I'm really trying to have a more natural lifestyle but sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming to think about making everything yourself. It's nice to know that there are still brands out there that I can support and feel good about it

I have oily skin along with really bad acne and the African Black Soap helped my skin so much. I noticed that when i stopped using it, I broke out. I love it so much!

Can you do a video on the menstrual cup? I'd love to know more about them, how they work and if they are actually comfortable and easy to use in public restrooms.
i can give you a short answer if you don't mind. everyone's vagina is different and some people find it uncomfortable putting things inside of it. when i switched to menstrual cup i was sooo happy! tampons used to feel dry and awful but i never have any pain putting in/taking out the cup. in the beginning i sometimes felt as if i had accidentally made the vacuum 'too strong' so it felt as if it was some light suction which was uncomfortable, now i i never experience that! there's a learning curve for sure. i slept with panties and pads in the beginning because it tended to leak a bit when i slept the first few cycles.
the menstrual cup stay put 12 hours without emptying so public restrooms aren't an issue for me at least. and when i have to go i go to one where you have access to your own sink (like an actual bathroom) but i live in sweden and idk how common those kinds of public restrooms are in other countries.

I LOVE jojoba oil as an alternative to regular facial soap and moisturizer. Its closest to your skins natural oils and is a GREAT makeup remover. ❤

So Happy to have found your channel !!:) Came across your natural hair products first & really liked it . Been trying to go as natural as I can for 2 years with my diet . Not vegan , which I have no problem with others liking it ... but no processed & LESS GMO's as much as possible . I have suffered since I was a baby with many allergies . Cleaning up my diet helped Greatly . Figured I would go further & make my own body & hair products . Only thing I ran into was buying the products to mix & ending up allergic to them. My Biggest dilemma is having weed/ herb, pollen & tree / mold allergies , nuts , that leaves out a lot of natural elements :( As for food some Nightshades & Cruciferous veg. " Oh & Gluten" OMG I'm a Mess LOL It won't detour me from my Journey :) Subbed/ Liked & can't wait to watch more of your Video . Sorry this is most likely too much IFM Yikes .. Any ideas you may have would be greatly Appreciated ...
