One of the reasons you had so much trouble removing the bolts is because you working on the wrong ends of the bolts. For the front bushing, the “nut” and the cam are one piece. You need wrench on the bolt head to get the whole thing loose. On the back bushing, the bolt head and the cam are keyed together. On the nut end, there is an actual nut and the cam are separate pieces so for back one you need to wrench on the nut. I made the exact same mistake even before watching this video.
I just came here to say the same thing.
Perfect way to make a video. Just the right amount of detail ...your reminders are helpful...and your + attitude while you’re doing the tough, dirty work, is commendable alone. Great job A1!

Shouldn't you tighten camber bolts when the LCA is in the resting state (vehicle on the ground)? Wouldn't the bushings be twisted as a result?
This was a very good instructional video. Thanks to this I successfully changed a LCA in my rusted 07 FJ. Got both bolts loose only to find that I had to cut the sleeves. Carbon coated sawz all blades are a must.
Great video. Love the real world of rusted bolts!
Really appreciate you showing how to deal with the difficulties of auto repair. No Hollywood magic here.

Where did you get the new bolts?
Link for the replacement bolts and nuts you bought since you had to cut? I want to get some as well in case i have to cut like you did
I did not see A1 auto selling the kit. I bought my kit on Amazon from Moog P/N K100128 caster/camber adjustment Kit. $42.23 ea.(need two kit if doing both sides). Hope this helps new readers since this post is dated.
175$ for both lower arms and all but 2, 5 star reviews. 2, 4 stars for shipping and email problems. We just bought them so hopefully they are as good as original. Gonna be fun cutting these out again
Hello,
Great video guys !
What's size of the pickle fork you use to separate the ball joint and the bracket ?
Thanks
I love it when it’s not as simple as it is in the fucking video.
I can’t help but ask - why did you need to replace that? The ball joints and bushings looked ok? Wondering if my 2007 fj would need this? Thanks
Thanks for this video man your are good 👍
You shoud turn the bolt instead the nat, that is different the side.
can you post the link to that camber bolt set please....
I look at your website and seen thatyou don't offer LCA for 2012 FJ. Vehicle fit section mention 07 to 09 years. I can't image there different for later years however the devil is in the details and I'd like to make sure prior to making a purchase. Please advise if this product fits a 2012 Toyata FJ.
+ELK BATTLE Thanks for the inquiry. We do not currently have lower control arms for your 2012 Toyota FJ. You can try searching on partsgeek.com as they tend to have a bigger inventory.
Look at the Aussie sites. You can also find oem for 275.00 right now through toyota
Yes, working on the wrong and that’s how they broke mine in the alignment shop
good video

What kind of grease?
wheres the replacement cam bolts that you cut off on your site?? hmmm
+Jason Sims We do not carry the replacement cam bolts for this vehicle. Thanks for checking us out!
You got the cam bolts some place can you share this information with us?
Need a man to do this job
Sheesh I'll never get this done on jack stands
This can be done on jack stands just not as fun as with as with a lift.
Just did this on my GX470... Cali car so LCA adjusters/cam bolts came off without a sweat :D.
Thumbs down out of frustration from all us Northeast FJ owners!!!! 😂😂😂
More like real life, stuck bolts!
Also grease lube and fluid film that s*** up for next time, and future alignment
👍👍👍

12:24 LOL !!! you're messing with the wrong side and just molested the poor thing just because you did not research it before !!! undo the bolt head side next time :)
BONK!
Your Fired
The ol college try lol
Bad start. You just hit and bent the disc brake shield lol. Do you have to use a THOR hammer on it?
PLEASE DON’T CUT THE ADJUSTING BOLTS OFF!! Loosen the NUT on the rear side of the adjuster. The front does not spin!!
The bolt on the front fwd bushing comes out first and the nut on the back LCA bushing is how the rear bushing comes out. Note: if it is not seized up in the bushing. Hope this helps.
