Our honest review after owning the Echelon Stride and using it on a weekly basis for 1 year. Echelon Stride Unboxing Video: • ECHELON STRIDE Treadmi...
First, thank you...costco has a salr today for $1299.95 which I just found out is the original price if bought direct from echelon anyway but at least it's available locally for now. You are the only person who has a 1 year video when the warranty expired or stated the maximum weight allowance. I appreciate your honesty on the machine and app option.
One of my favorite features that this treadmill has is that the wheels can roll sideways making it so easy for me to move it to a different room by myself. My previous treadmill was super heavy and bulky. if I needed to move it, it was impossible to do it on my own as the wheels only moved up or down. Great video! 👍🏼
Thank you for making this video. I've been trying to figure out which one is best for us. This would be our first treadmill so we don't really know what to look for but this video makes it super easy to decide. Thank you!
Hi I’m looking for a treadmill my husband 5’7 and I 5’0 ranging from 140-190 pounds usuall run 5x week for about 40 min. Would this treadmill be able to handle the use?
Hello. I watched another review that mentioned the belt skipping occasionally, it wobbled at higher inclines and the platform had little to no suspension. What are you opinions on this? Finally, I watched another review that says the motor HP is 1.75. Is that correct?
That’s what their website says. I have been looking into the CHP/ HP importance and it seems to me that the main issue is to do with over exerting a small motor for constant running... I think for the average user CHP/ HP shouldn’t be an issue, but if you want to do high impact long distance running on it all the time, the machine motor wont last that long and you will need a new machine or to get the motor replaced. But for £1,599.00 I would expect a better motor tbh, its way more expensive compared to similar treadmills in the market, they can do better... I think.
Well I just found out my condos gyms are closing again due to Covid and I’m ordering this treadmill. Are you saying we can opt out from purchasing the app ? Thanks again for the review !
Good review. 👍 We're trying to decide on a treadmill and space is a big factor. This might just fit the bill. Thanks for the heads-up on the app. 🇺🇸 Subbed
Check out the Echelon Stride Sport. It’s sold exclusively at Walmart for less than $700 with tax and shipping. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, but it’s solid. I just got mine today and I’m very impressed.
Thanks for this video! I'm wondering- I want to keep it stored standing up often. Is it secure standing up? I have a small dog and want to make sure this thing won't fall over on him.
It’s pretty stable and secured for us, but we have it in our basement. If your floor shakes a lot when you walk/run, perhaps you can consider getting one of the secured straps on amazon, that’s not echelon-affiliated
Still performing well after 1+ year. Subbed to the echelon for only the first year, but discontinued it. It didn’t work well with our Roku TV in the gym.
So I'm 5ft 9 and about 145lb and run at least an hour a day, every day. You think this'll take that sort of beating? Speeds are 11-12kph I've got a 4 year old Norictrack that's on its 2nd belt and rattles like mad. Wife's gonna kick me out of the dining room into the garage soon too. Do you think my neighbours would hate me if I used it in a garage early hours? If you're in the basement, how much noise does your wife hear upstairs?
I started the purchase process on the Echelon website and it would not let me add the treadmill to my cart unless I selected a membership. So, I went to my cart and tried to remove the membership (and keep the treadmill). I got this popup message: "An Echelon United membership plan is required with your equipment purchase. Removing it from your cart will also remove the equipment associated with this membership." Yep, that's what happened. They *really* want you to purchase that membership. Guess I'll keep looking for a compact, foldable treadmill that goes more than 5 MPH and doesn't weigh 200+ pounds and require professional setup....
@@MichaelBelfiore Same thing happened to me but I was able to purchase the treadmill by choosing the “I’m already an echelon member”. You will just need to log in!
Hey there. Thanks for the vid. just wondering if you could comment on a 2 year review. You mentioned on your 1 year review that the buttons were peeling. How is it now? It's still available for sale in December 2023 at $1075 from Amazon but not from Echelon. I think its discontinued. But I have limited space requirements like you and I like the simple design. Please comment.
I’m 5’9” with long legs, about 155 lbs. Would this work if I want to racewalk with some incline? I also wonder if you think it’s too loud to watch TV or listen to music while working out. I noticed you did have a TV in the room. Anyway, thanks for all your help and the video.
From what I've gathered from other review comments on other videos, you'd be absolutely fine on it. There have been people like myself who have been over 6' tall saying that neither weight, nor their height are a problem for them and they love it.
@@ML_1515 I don't own one, but I think it's safe to say that it would certainly accomodate you. You fall well within the weight limit, and your height will not be an issue.
You can see the entire frame bending and flexing, while she's just WALKING on it at low speed. And when she runs, it looks like it's going to crumble apart. This should be priced at $500, not $1300
Thanks for the video, you really solidified my decision on purchasing the Echelon Stride. Cheers!
Thanks for the vid. Very informative. I wasn't sure about a few functionalities but watching your review helped me make my decision. 👍👍👍

What! I didn’t see it in Costco :( was trying to look for it since I saw their bike in costco. Couldn’t find it on costco online either

looking good bro
Thanks for the video! I just got mine this week, but its making a rattling noise when I incline...did this happen to you?
It does not for me during incline, you can hear the sound toward the end of the video
Well I just found out my condos gyms are closing again due to Covid and I’m ordering this treadmill. Are you saying we can opt out from purchasing the app ? Thanks again for the review !
Sorry to hear that. That’s correct. You can opt out from purchasing the app. I’d not recommend buying it.
Amazon says 3.0 HP motor. Is that true. are there different versions?
Great video! How is it with low ceiling? I want to put one downstairs like you have. Just wondering if I would have any issues. Thanks
The ceiling in my basement is around 6’7, 6’8
Does anyone know how to clear the lubrication alert after you've done it?
Do you have to subcribe to Echelon in order to the use the treadmill?

If it makes you feel better my dog and I walk the treadmill together (cattle dog). I’m 130lbs she’s 35lbs.
I got a wall strap included with my treadmill purchase. Call the company, they may send you one for free.
Secure with a strap or leave it flat. It’s heavy and will tumble over.
How has it been holding up? Did you actually sub to the echelon fitness subscription? Or do you just use it as is?
Still performing well after 1+ year. Subbed to the echelon for only the first year, but discontinued it. It didn’t work well with our Roku TV in the gym.
Why are the dashboard lights flickering?
Do it shake when you run on it?

Thank you for posting this video! Is the United membership required for the treadmill to function?
Thank you for the support! Nope, no membership is required. The treadmill can function by itself.

Not sure if you looked at Costco as well, instead of the echelon website
I just purchased mine on Amazon instead of Echelon’s website. The sale price was $20-30 more, but I did Not have to purchase a membership. 🤙🏽
Can it be stored on it's side rather than vertical?
thanks
Is there heart rate monitor on the stride ??
You didn’t used a 400$ subscription instead of buying a cheap dongle for the TV or a cheap tablet ?

Great video. 300 lbs is pretty reasonable for these non commercial treadmill. Was it 6.5 mph or km/h
I need to correct it on the video but it was around 5 mph
Hello, how’s the shock absorption?
It’s sufficient. Nothing compared to the ones you’d have at a commercial gym but it will get the job done
Any problem with the belt becoming not centered?
Nothing for me. It’s been more than a year.
@@bigvietnamesedude how often do you lube the belt if at all?

Curious to know, how has the Echelon Stride held up after nearly 2 years?
Ditto
Can a bigger person run on it or just walk?
300lbs is the limit. I believe that as long as someone is maybe 5-10 lbs
Your wife is a doll.
You can see the entire frame bending and flexing, while she's just WALKING on it at low speed. And when she runs, it looks like it's going to crumble apart. This should be priced at $500, not $1300
I think that might just be the cushioning action?
I just ordered the stride 5s today
Congrats!
Which mat did you purchase?
very noisy & wobbly when running, price is high, warranty is short time, but portable for condo/apartment.
How tall are you / your wife?
I’m 6’2. She’s 5’1.
Are you able to jog on it or just your wife? I'm a bigger guy so wondering if I can jog on it without damaging it 🙂
Hey man, I think as long as you are under the weight limit, you should be fine.
Good review. Bad music.
Did you even use it lol
