- The Stride treadmill is the newest addition the collection of fitness equipment by Echelon Fitness. What separates this machine from others is its capability to fold flat, making it a super space saver, while maintaining the most common functionalities of a traditional treadmill.

Thank you for sharing this!
Of course!
Thanks for the video. I am very interested in this treadmill for myself. As a smaller lady I am not too worried but still skeptical. I'd be using it to run up to 7.5 mph during the hot Florida summers.
Curious what you're skeptical about...care to share Amber?
If it's about whether this equipment will last long term then you have every right to be skeptical since we have no data on that .... the Company doesn't seem to have faith in their own equipment with their one year warranty!
Maybe the bounce on 8 incline
Does the treadmill have shock absorption and enough cushion?
Helpful vids, thank you! Was hoping though that you’d talk a bit more about how it feels to run on it at higher speeds, considering that it has a somewhat lower horsepower motor than others. For example, If you get up around levels 7,8 for an extended time does it feel like it like it can handle it? Even though it says it can do 12mph, I’m curious. Thanks again
To be honest I use my treadmill for brisk walks so I wouldn’t be the best person to ask about using the machine at higher speeds for extended periods of time. I will say with a one year warranty I would be cautious about pushing this thing to its max on a day in and day out.
Just received mine last Friday and am upset as it starts wobbling at 1 incline. I've adjusted the belt etc, moved it to different places in the room to see if i might be the floor is uneven. Still wobbled. I am no dealing with echelon directly and they have started a warranty issue. I am so disappointed because other than that, i love it. Just want it fixed, plus i bought it off of Amazon for 1300.00! How the heck can you return something this big?
It looks like the belt shifted to one side. I had a compact treadmill and the belt shifted as it is in this video.
How is the noise level when you’re running ?
I use my treadmill for brisk walking..at 3.0 speed I hear standard noises...I honestly don’t pay attention to it because I usually have music or tv blasting
After using it is it still bothering your knees?
It does still hurt my knees and it’s the reason why I’m open to compromising design, price, features for a comfortable ride now.
One thing not mentioned.... can you buy and use this machine without a monthly fee? I know they try and push that on you, but I don't want a monthly fee. I just want to walk/jog.
Watch my unboxing video to learn where I bought from to save $200 delivery fee and taxes...and without a monthly subscription!
What are the speed increments on the Echelon Stride?
Per the manual the treadmill starts off at 0.5 mph and can go up to 12 mph.
When I press the speed button it's going up a tenth...I'm not sure what unit of measure it is though (km/hr, mph or something else).
There are three quick speed buttons also available to jump speeds to 3, 6, 9. Per the manual the quick speed is "km/hr" and this converted to mph is 1.8, 3.7 and 5.6.
@@everythingelse9591 Interesting..Echelon told me today the increments were 0.95 mph. That would make a treadmill effectively useless to me and it makes little sense either...which is why I was asking again. So you're saying i could have 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 4.0 etc as needed?
Hey Alan, I've updated my previous comment to be more accurate.
Yes, I'm saying you can have 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 4.0 etc. which is really nice but I'm not sure what the unit of measure is. To see the speed increase in action take a look at my unboxing video (but skip to 6:30 mark): ua-cam.com/video/lUf5lY5nI5I/v-deo.html
@@everythingelse9591 Thank you. This answers my question.
Did you end up returning it? I love the compact design but now I’m scared it’s gonna mess up my knees
I MAY end up keeping it for several reasons....
1) Returning to the vendor I bought from means losing money: 20% restocking fee + delivery fees both ways 😬
2) I’m so tired of researching treadmills...returning means going back to the drawing board. And I don’t think any treadmill will check off all my must-have boxes...and the Stride seems to check off the most.
3) The ride comfort I may just have to “ suck it up” for now. I may buy some thicker running kicks to see if that helps. And I anticipate it being not so harsh once I lose some upper body weight.
To be honest, I hate that I bought a treadmill without trying it out first. If you can find a place to test it out, I would do that before ordering. Or wait for more reviews! My experience may not be someone else’s because I’m overweight and my be more sensitive to ride comfort.
Thanks so much!!! I might just hold off until there’s a sale then
Great video... but incredibly hard to hear you over the music.
Thanks for the feedback!. I'm not a youtuber so I'm learning how to create videos on the fly. Will adjust music in the future!
I kept it because I was too lazy to return it...lol. Plus I have too much on plate to coordinate a return.
