EGC 24 | Grassroots Justice in Grassroots Esports: A Case Study from the Super Smash Bros Community

Within the Super Smash Bros esports community, a grassroots organization was created to investigate interpersonal misconduct and advise ban decisions to tournament organizers. The talk will discuss lessons learned, applicable to grassroots scenes and game companies both. We draw upon literature from game studies, community sports, and implementation science.
