    How do you feel about the use of red and green for communicating value/sentiment? Red-green colorblindness is fairly common in western countries (especially for men), so it's fair to expect there are 1 or 2 people in your presentation audience who are not able to see those color correctly, even if it's just secondary way to communicate the data. I found myself using mostly red-blue spectrum these days (red is bad, blue is good) for internal presentations, or use high luminosity difference if green-red really is needed. However, for some people red-blue isn't a "natural" scale for this usage, which is just causing confusion among 1 or 2 other members of the audience.

    Ce métier est tellement important et pourtant encore tellement condonfu avec la UI (dans le web) ou le game design (dans l'industrie du jeu vidéo). Et récemment j'ai entendu quelqu'un me dire "l'UX c'est censé etre surtout des tests"... Mais pour moi les tests c'est une partie à part entière, qui est aujourd'hui surtout la UR. Un UX n'est pas censé arriver qu'à la fin. Comment faire dans le jeu vidéo pour mieux expliquer et mettre en place une cellule UX viable ?

    • @CeliaHodent
      @CeliaHodent Рік тому

      Eh oui... l'approche UX qui est essentiellement stratégique n'est pas comprise comme telle, mais elle est réduite à ses disciplines (UX design, UX writing, UX research...) et méthodes (prototypage, tests utilisateurs..). Cela va demander encore beaucoup d'évangélisation pour que l'UX soit mieux comprise, surtout dans les jeux vidéo... C'est ce que j'essaie de faire via mes conférences (notamment le gameuxsummit.com et le UX summit à la GDC) et via mes vidéos, livres, etc. Si on s'y met toutes et tous, on va finir par y arriver ! ;)

    • @WTFUX23
      @WTFUX23 Рік тому

      @@CeliaHodent je dois avouer que même moi, tous les jours, je redéfinis ma compréhension de l'UX et du coup j'ai beaucoup de mal à l'expliquer sans mentionner toutes les disciplines dans lesquelles elle existe comme vous le citez ci dessus. Mais dans le jeu vidéo c'est encore plus dur parce qu'elle est d'autant plus transversale, et chaque personne va avoir tendance à me dire "mais ça c'est du game design" / "mais ça c'est de la UI" / "mais ça c'est du sound design". Oui, mais... Et c'est là que ça se complique haha. En tous cas merci pour vos vidéos et livres, c'est grâce à eux que je suis passée du web au jeu vidéo, je ne pensais pas que c'était possible et vous m'avez beaucoup inspirée !

    That was a great first approach of brains and Interfaces and some theories of cognitive psychology ! I really enjoyed the presentation ! Quick question, when you talked about the marshmallow test, you explained it briefly and made it appealing with results and then after made a statement about correlation aud causation (no information of the samples btw), but was it intentionnaly put in this order to make the argument more appealing to our system 1 ? ;) Thank you again for sharing this video and have a nice day !

      Ha ha ha! :) Well, the intent was more to be cautious of the conclusions we make (as mixing correlation with causation is a common bias). In fact, this experiment was recently contradicted by another research, so it can no longer support my point anyway... www.theguardian.com/education/2018/jun/01/famed-impulse-control-marshmallow-test-fails-in-new-research
