It's certainly ONE of the reasons. Another one is that her recipes are SO GOOD, and she spells it out so that ANYbody can make a delicious Korean dish, or meal! :)

Not to inform, but to show off as if Korean cuisine and culture is the best in the world. In her other video when she spotted the Korean curry powder, she mentioned "Indian readers gave a hard time" as they said "we thought it's Indian curry". I mean, what's the hard time she is pointing here. Just viewers or readers out of curiosity would have asked. 🙄

Sometimes I find it's easier to ask other shoppers in the same section than store staff! I knew I was finally comfortable when I was complaining to my partner about the expensive price of soy sauce, saying this other market had a lower price and a Korean grandmother started nodding along. We got into a good convo about best places to buy bottled sauces 🤣

I was surprised by her sharing today. In Korea, many foods and ingredients are actually shared during holidays and family events. And it is called Jung in Korean. And affection means sharing a warm heart.

YES Maangchi, please make more shopping instructional videos for other Korean products, when you can! Cookies, snacks, bakery items, cooking tools, appropriate gift items for holidays and special occasions/events, best way to season or use clay/stone pots for 1st time use, are just some suggestions. I'm really curious how I can tell if one dried chili powder is hotter than another before I open the container, and how to season and care for clay/stone pots. Your videos are the best and have helped me a lot to try and make delicious Korean recipes. Thank you!

I live in Koreatown Los Angeles for many years. I"m not Korean, but I shop at the Korean store almost every day to buy simple ingredients. I have no idea what to do with the Korean ingredients. This video series helps so much. Now I can shop with confidence and try to make some of your recipes. Thanks Maangchi!!!

My fiance is Korean and while I'm pretty comfortable cooking many different Korean dishes, there are always so many things in the Korean grocery store that I don't know what they're used for! Thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos, and I really hope you go back and do more with the other sections!

Makes me miss living near the west coast, where we had massive Korean and Chinese markets like greenvalley or 99 Ranch the size of a walmart. Every market i have seen in the mid-south has been the size of a shoe box with shelves loaded with expired goods.

I'd love to see more videos about the other parts of the korean grocery store that you didn't get to talk about this time!
