You two will be great parents, and definitely the funniest ones! We also flip-flopped a lot, thinking we wouldn't want kids for a long time in our marriage. However, we changed our minds in our mid-30s. It took us 2.5 years to get pregnant, and unfortunately, we experienced a miscarriage. That event completely shifted our perspective. All the doubts (and all the fear) were gone. We finally realized we wanted it more than we thought we did. We're so blessed to get pregnant again just 11 months later. Now, at 39 and 42 years old, we're expecting our beloved baby, who will make our family complete early this May. 💚💚💚 We wish you the most exciting journey with plenty of health.

My favorite part about being a parent is relearning to see through their lenses. I love watching my kids get excited and light up over things. It’s like seeing the magic you experienced as a kid all over again. Of course there are challenges, but I just wanted share my favorite part about parenthood because most the time you get unsolicited advice. You also get told “just you wait.” Don’t worry about those comments. Your kid will learn to sleep through the night eventually. Your kid will be potty trained eventually. As challenging as it is it is also extremely rewarding

Omg!!! I am SO excited for y’all! We passively tried for 6 months and then realized how much we actually wanted kids, so then we actively tried for another 6 months! Happy to say we (I) are also pregnant and have been together about the same amount of time as you two! Y’all will be amazing parents. So excited to follow your journey ❤️
I called it! I just had a baby in November so I seen all the signs and adjustments you guys have been making in order to accommodate a baby aka moving back to be closer to family, John always wearing blue, Alex having that glow 😍🎉🙌🏼
Congrats guys! Only advice I have is for Jon. The first few weeks after childbirth, she’s going to be doing a lot to care for the baby. Some of that stuff you can’t do. So just try to take care of her while she’s taking care of the baby. Get her food, water, ask her how she’s feeling, etc.

So excited for you guys! Was smiling so big in my car this morning while I was driving. Came here so I could comment 😂 Also because I'm hoping the YT comments are nicer than some I've seen on the 'soft launch' skit on IG.... people announcing they will have to unfollow because they don't want it to become pregnancy content/etc....like why even announce that? Blows my mind how some people have the nerve to comment things like that...or how they are sad that content might change. Like imagine saying that to you guys in person 🤯 they wouldn't....so why comment it?! UGH. I'm happy and excited and maybe because it's relatable for my life right now. I started listening during 'season 2' and binged and have been listening to new episodes as they come out and wow the relationship stuff has been so relatable and now I can't wait to relate to parenthood!

My husband and I originally wanted kids when we first got together. I'd always been ok either way but society had it in my head that that's just what you do honestly. Then the longer we were together and kept pushing it off we finally sat down together one day and realized we kind of didn't actually want kids. I love my friend's kids and love being the fun aunt. I got my tubes out a couple years ago because I was also over the hormones

I had the same story as you Alex! Wasn’t that late on my period and was at the grocery store buying a bottle of wine and decided to also buy a pregnancy test. I should’ve definitely just drank the bottle first😂 but yea had a depressive couple days and now we’ve accepted it and are truly happy and are 9 weeks from having our first baby!
My husband and I also talked about if having kids was right for us. And we both came to the conclusion that we would both be more sad if we didn’t try. It happened on our first try too lol guess we’re lucky lol
Don’t worry Jon my husband doesn’t hold babies either but you guys will be fine!

I legit screamed at the thumbnail! Congrats guys ❤ on another note... I dont care how trained your dog is, keep your dog on a leash if you're somewhere where there are people and other dogs! It's just common sense. You may be confident that your dog is well trained for that, but you never know how the other dogs are going to react.

There are so many tips or things I can go on about lol but I’d say my main 2 are: 1.Take all the help you can get from your loved ones. & 2.Always keep dating! Mom guilt is a thing and you will feel guilty for leaving your baby w/someone but trust me it’s Important to take time for yourselves 🤍

Unsolicited advice you can take or shove -
1) Sleep deprivation is real
2) Baby's cries will be like electricity that runs through Mom's body in a way that Dad can never understand
3) Prioritize your sleep, by teaching them to sleep - Go follow Taking Cara Babies (it is not the cry it out, but it's also not not the cry it out)
4) Follow Solid Starts so you really can skip the spoon feeding unless you are into that sort of thing. No lie, harder in the beginning, but easier in the long run and you get a toddler that eats veggies!
5) Get an electric baby nail file (Amazon search) because it's terrifying to clip them just like buzz them short with a nail file.
6) A fed baby is best and tell everyone else to shove their comments
7) Start seeing a therapist while pregnant if you aren't already so you have someone after if you need it. They also are a good confidence booster when Mom guilt pops by.

Aw I'm so happy for you guys! You will be such great parents ❤️ I'm a mom of 3 my oldest is 4, a girl and I have 2 boys a 3 year old and 1 year old and my boys are soo different than my daughter, every kid is so different but soak in that newborn phase and don't hesitate to ask for help!

Congratulations!!! 🎉 Honestly what you guys said about how you know when you’re ready to have kids.. is so true! With my husband and I, we never really knew for sure 100%. But as we got older hit our 30s.. we were on vacation eating at a restaurant and then going back to the hotel we said what’s missing? Like we’ve done everything we wanted.. traveled, partied, achieved goals. But we just felt like there was something missing in our lives. The quietness…we realized then we were ok with starting a family 🥹 we come from large families so I got older too we knew we didn’t want to grow old alone. We wanted a big family surrounding us making memories. Plus when my nephews were born I also knew I wanted that chaotic mom life too and share it with our families. Anyways I’m so happy for you both! ❤️

I started watching you guys on tik tok and I’ve seen every episode of the podcast and sorry Alex but I’m team John💪🏼 if there’s some advice I could give is when the baby comes and your adjusting to this new life, when the baby sleeps then you sleep. I understand you want to clean up and be productive but you need to take care of yourselves as well. Also you’re going to get a lot of unsolicited advice and the best advice is your gut feeling. At the end of the day this is your baby and you make the decisions and some people over step boundaries and don’t know when to fuck off.

Your instagram made me ugly cry. So happy for you. I loved being pregnant and being a Mom. I really miss when my kids were little. It does go by so fast. They are now 22 and 25 now. Enjoy every minute! Especially on the days that you feel discouraged and exhausted. Those bad days will also be a joyful memory. 🥰
