I am a 83 year old senior who last flew as PIC in 1968. Four months ago I became interested in flying again. Your videos have been fantastic and very educational for me. Thank you for taking the time to publish your videos. May GOD be with you and family.
Life does get in the way. Glad to see you back. The Malibu is my second favorite. My first is the 602P Aerostar I use to fly many moons ago. I see you moved out of the valley of the sun. I loved visiting AZ when my mother lived in Mesa. Just loved it there. Retirement? I'm envious! I have 2 yrs, 9 mos, 23 days but who's counting!
Love your video’s. They’re our favorite (wife and I). Appreciate your honesty and beautiful family. We sold our ‘83 Mooney 201 and are retired. Your videos bring back wonderful memories of our flying adventures.
I am seated in my coach , down here in the French alps, And I am thinking about all your time , money on your equipments and dedication put In your videos. I thank you for that. It reminds to many like me , how good flying is , especially flying IMC. Cheers from France.
Sir your videos are always top notch. Thanks for sharing part of your your flying and personal life.Best wishes for you and your family.Greetings from Greece.
Glad you're closer to Texas, and perhaps will visit us more often now vs. "flying over" on your travels to Florida. I'm from the DFW area and would welcome your family anytime you are out this way. God Bless you, sir.
Great to see you back!. Congrats on the retirement, new home, daughters marriage.. You said you were home in this video, no more Phoenix?? As a gilbert resident, that make me sad.. I wish you the best and post what you got, we love your style and plane...
You are flying my dream airplane. I once thought that I wanted a twin, but a pressurized single piston (which means a Malibu other than maybe the P210) is really what I want someday! My wife is from Fort Smith so we fly in to KFSM all the time. Beautiful area of the country. I hanger out of 07F Gladewater which is right down the highway from Alert Field. I love your panel too. Keep the videos coming.
👍☑️ YES your back! Texas, BBQ, rain and crying ...... sounds like a country song just waiting to be "writ" (don't know how the flying and vacuum pump would fit in though)
Great flight and enjoyed the video...! Assume weight and balance were within limits with 2 passengers in the far back of the plane and 1 up front. Did not think about it until seeing how long the nose gear stayed off the runway when landing.
So good to hear that you'll be posting more videos! I love the channel! it's cool to see that your in Arkansas now. we're close to Springfield, MO. look forward to seeing flying beautiful Malibu with your amazing family!
Your my neighbor now! Going to lunch in fayettvillle today to visit family from TX! I rent a 172 out of KFSM. Was in Springdale last Friday! Super nice restaurant in Bentonville. Very short hop!
Wow, you did have your hands full with life. Check out 310 pilots DE-icing boot repair, 18:44 in the video. A valve was causing the pumps to fail. Blessings!
So home is Springdale. Both of my children live in Fayetteville after graduating the UofA. I really like your videos. While I had my plane we made many trips to KFYV.
VFR or not, interesting or not just post the footage anyway! I love to see any aviation videos! Hope to see Katey in a video soon again! Her husband is a lucky man. God bless y’all!
Dont stress the "uninteresting" content! As a pilot, that is a GOOD thing! =0) Glad y'all are ok, lemme know if you want to fly if you are in Denton, tx ever.
Sorry to hear you left Mesa.We live in Gold Canyon and looking to head back to Buffalo area after I retire 2 more years to go.Will be a snowbird.115-118 degrees all this week in Phoenix.Great time to sell a house in Phoenix at this time.
You commented that you were “painting” the area of moderate precipitation. Unless I’m mistaken it doesn’t look like you have onboard active radar which this statement implies. There are numerous cautionary accident reports out there where pilots think that these can be used interchangeably, while in fact they give very different information. Need to consider limitations of nexrad data when using to navigate through and around weather. Love your videos!
Tim, I was going to comment on something similiar. I didn't think he had onboard radar, and the 'painting' comment implies that he has the capability to detect it himself. So, I agree with you.
@@MalibuFlyer - It was a perfect technique on the narrow Springdale runway. Aero braking like that slashes the stopping distances and saves $$$ on brake consumables. Great job!
I love your videos, I follow you for 2 years now. One question for my understanding please: what's the link between the anti icing boots and the vacuum pump? Thanx Carl from Martinique FWI
SInce you're only having issues when it rains with the JPI, I'm inclined to believe that you're getting a water short somewhere in the wiring harness under the cowling. But, that's just a guess. I hope by the time you read this, it's already fixed, and of course, a new vacuum pump as well.
MAP fluctuations at 3:00 was concerning. Hadn't noticed such variations before. Time to use the ears and other engine parameters to be confident. Never saw that in T210. Curious if one of the turbos / waste gates are messing with ya.
Although it did look concerning, as the pilot sitting there in the aircraft, he'd have been able to determine quickly whether it was the actual MAP that was fluctuating (there'd be changes in engine note and vibration) or simply the *reading* that was problematic. Our friend seemed confident that the issue was limited purely to the sensor.
Thanks again for sharing your interesting trips! Glad to see you are back in the skies again. Sounds like you moved out of AZ now in AR? Retirement, you're too young to retire! Looks like your Manifold pressure was reading accurately once you reduced power on landing? When you reset your JPI it sort of gave me the impression on myself resetting my Tesla main screen when things go awry! Next time you are going through the weather, could you explain how your Garmin G-500 shows the weather ahead but I think it is delayed slightly so you would not use in Thunderstorms right? Thanks again for the great footage. Love your PA-46 Malibu!
Malibu Flyer. When ever you see Linda Wilkins it is really me Dennis. She set up the log on and used her name so that is how is shows up. Are you a cigar smoker by chance? Dennis
@@freshwaterguideservice I disagree. He said that this is an ongoing issue and that it only happens in the rain. I'm more inclined to believe that he has some sort of water intrusion in the wiring harness under the cowling. While the vacuum pump failure might have caused some slight indications, he has two pumps, and his vacuum, even after the failure, was still pulling 4". He would have needed to see the vacuum gauge jumping all over the place to have it correlate to the MP reading on the JPI. Since he said it only happens in the rain, it couldn't have been the pump.
@@freshwaterguideservice he wasn't wide-open throttle. He wasn't even pulling 30" of MP, which remember, the Malibu is a turbocharged engine. If he was WOT, it would probably be between 35 and 38" of MP

Thanks for the perspective. I needed that,.

Hello sir is it safe to fly a Melibu over the 300 nm of ocean. Please reply ASAP
Not without adequate divert airfields, I wouldn't say. Single Engine Piston, pressurized aircraft is a high risk factor over 300nm uniterrupted ocean.
