Okay this is a full-stop across the board improvement over PS1 MM8. Anyone who disagrees should listen to the bass on Search Man. PS1 just feels wimpy now... Wish Saturn MM8 were in Legacy Collection 2 :/
Fixed clown man’s theme? I couldn’t tell a difference between the two to be honest, but other tracks like Aqua man’s stage & tengu man’s theme were better in the Saturn release in my opinion

But PS1's version is much crisper, sample-wise, like the high-end is more prominent for some reason. Sounds objectively higher quality, sample-wise, Saturn is a little muddled all over. I could see that making for a better mix maybe, but I think PS1's is a crisper mix. Maybe this video just has low quality audio, but if it is representative of the Saturn mix, then PS1's is a brighter, clearer mix for sure.
Nope, I take that back, Aquaman is way brighter and more interesting (the pads) on Saturn. I do prefer the guitar sample in the middle, in the ps1 version. everything else is better about the saturn version

Hot take...I actually like the PS1 version of Tengu man's theme more. But Aqua man's theme and the intro stage music are way better here.

I'm not crazy. The Saturn boss theme does sound different, and I think it's a rare case where the PS1 version wins out.
