I know Elec Man's theme is the most popular from this game's soundtrack, but for me, Cut Man's music is absolutely iconic, and as robot master's themes go, it's my favorite, right alongside Knight Man's from Mega Man 6. The arrangement here is absolutely amazing!
Great collection of remixes, but I wouldn't agree they would fit the actual gameplay like the Wily Wars versions, because they are remixes and not simple rearrangements.
I see another example of fans making content for free being thousand times better that mega companies that have plenty of ''professionals'' working on their projects that can cost up to billions of dollars. It's a freaking shame on them and feel of pride for people like you. Great job!
God I've only just started listening and I love your take on the stage select theme. To me it's always been a really underrated theme, so it's nice to hear a killer cover of it. Edit: Just finished listening to the rest of it, great work! I love the additional loops or intros added to some songs and the new ideas addrd to the songs are very imaginative. Nice usage of the SN7's noise channel for a snare as well.
amo el esfuerzo que le pusiste a esto, de verdad, te mereces mucha mas atencion! megaman 1 es bastante poco valorado, asi que se agradece bastante este gran ost ym2612!
I really, really reaaally hope you plan to insert these, the color hack and combine them with the Fixer Upper patch to make it the definitive "The Prequel Wars" we need. You're super talented btw, between the hacking and music, it's all awesome!!
Wily 2's cover is really good. I've always felt it was overlooked. Wily 1 was good too, but I have to ask, did you take inspiration from Pluto's stage from MM5GB at 19:39?
Although it sounds nice this is more like a remix than basically using the Sega MegaDrive Z80 CPU, PSG and Yamaha YM2612 channels to basically play the original arrangement with the additional power of the channels... Bear in mind too that on a CRT and proper audio jack from the first two to three years of Sega MegaDrive hardware that you get the most amazing stereo from the system until the Sega of America forced price cut gimped units which killed the sound.
The arps at 17:15 are off pitch :'( Raise them by a half step and it could become the best song in this whole collection of remixes Regardless, good work
Mega Man 2 when? Reason I'm asking is because I'm making an MD+ soundtrack for the Wily Wars out of your arrangements, and I don't see that you finished any Mega Man 2 songs yet. Thanks a bunch!
Nothing specific to Wily Wars I can think of, just your usual rom hacking fare. What I specifically used: -HxD which is your cookie cutter hex editor, any will do really -WLA-DX assembler, simple to use and works without issues -Bizhawk emulator is a huge help with great debugging options. Convenient ram search and hex editing of both rom and ram to test changes on the fly. The debugger is a bit clunky to use on the genesis core but still a big asset. Hope this helps
I bet your YM2612 arrangements of Mega Man songs were inspired by TheLegendofRenegade. Your arrangements for Mega Man 4-6 songs are TheLegendofRenegade style arrangements of Mega Man: Complete Works songs minus the Power Battle Arrangements.

Much better than Wily Wars version!
Great collection of remixes, but I wouldn't agree they would fit the actual gameplay like the Wily Wars versions, because they are remixes and not simple rearrangements.
I personally don't agree.
@@RakoonCD ok 👍
I wish we were getting a prequel wars
I always felt the instruments in it were really bland
Yo this bops. Nice job
Edit: Wow Wily Stage 1 is practically a new song now.
these are actually amazing, I can really feel your own style developing with the instrumentation and the arrangements themselves
I wish it modded the wily wars with this soundtrack.

So glad the boss theme can finally be heard outside powered up without wanting to tear my ears off
the ice man remix is amazing, nothing to say
I love this so much. I’ve always felt Mega Man 1 is very underrated, glad it got some love here.
sup
Very well done, even surprasses the Mega Drive Wily Wars soundtrack in Quality. Top man, your mother should be proud.
Someone PLEASE hack these tunes into Wily Wars!
i guess i could do it.
@@8_bit_dragon_original Is that so?
I love this soundtrack.
Wow, this is impressive. I'm out of words.
I hope Mega Man 2 and 3 are up next! This is amazing!
Now I need a hackrom of Wily Wars with this soundtrack
Oh, a fire cover of MM1's soundtrack!
I love it! ❤
Hopefully, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3 and some of Wily Tower will get their soundtracks redone covers eventually.
Guess you could consider this "the prequel wars" arranged soundtrack.
fantastic job!
Thank God UA-cam recommended you. Another delicious subscription to my favorite mega man music makers.
I've never heard any of your songs and got this soundtrack recommended to me. I'm absolutely in love, this shit slaps so hard
This is AMAZING. Not a single dud. I'm definitely listening to this more in the future.
Masterful work, dude. You are a YM2612 master.
This was just uploaded and I already know this is amazing Music
Wily Wars' ost wasn't bad either but dang this is so good, good job
That Fire Man track is 🔥

This rock hits hard ❤
This is fantastic!
Oh cool I know you
8:15 starlight zone vibes
Oh man this is 100 percent better than the original!
Muy buen turno WoodFrog 👍👍👍, excelente trabajo que hiciste 👍 adelante, siga trabajando
El mejor ost de mega man 1 stilo the sequel wars😎👍
amo el esfuerzo que le pusiste a esto, de verdad, te mereces mucha mas atencion! megaman 1 es bastante poco valorado, asi que se agradece bastante este gran ost ym2612!
2:46 I like how your interpretation of Cutman's theme also includes the segment from the GB version of Megaman I.
Woodfrog, I just gotta say you are amazing at these covers
Megaman 1 but it made in the Sequel Wars style
Oye WoodFrog, avisanos cuando termine tu versión para poder esperar que llegue muy pronto 👍. Todos te felicitamos por tu excelente proyecto.
Slaps harder than ever even today
Fantastic work on this Woodfrog! 👍
I wonder if the other Mega Man ost's will get the same treatment? (Minus 4,5 & 6 of course)
I'm calling it right now they're making a Wily Wars remake
Imagine if there was a remake of a remake on the same console.
Eeeyikes! how will i "Rock" these bots without an upgrade!

A solid remix!!
These sound amazing, nice job man 👍🏽
I really, really reaaally hope you plan to insert these, the color hack and combine them with the Fixer Upper patch to make it the definitive "The Prequel Wars" we need.
You're super talented btw, between the hacking and music, it's all awesome!!
This is a masterpiece 😍
Tremendo 🙌🙌🙌
Are there plans for a Plus edition for Wily Wars with these arrangements?
cool
Excellent work!
although I would have liked you to consider the secondary melodies that Willy Wars added to the Guts Man theme
WE ARE SAVING THE WORLD FROM DR.WILLY WITH THIS ONE!!!1!!1!1!1!1!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Very nice-a
8:14 Was that a subtle reference to Faithfully by Journey?
If it is, you deserve a reward.
Its a masterpiece what did you use to make these bangers
Wily 2's cover is really good. I've always felt it was overlooked.
Wily 1 was good too, but I have to ask, did you take inspiration from Pluto's stage from MM5GB at 19:39?
Great work in the remix? Will you be remixing the Mega Man 2 Soundtrack in YM2612?
Yes he will it might take a while
Although it sounds nice this is more like a remix than basically using the Sega MegaDrive Z80 CPU, PSG and Yamaha YM2612 channels to basically play the original arrangement with the additional power of the channels...
Bear in mind too that on a CRT and proper audio jack from the first two to three years of Sega MegaDrive hardware that you get the most amazing stereo from the system until the Sega of America forced price cut gimped units which killed the sound.
I wonder if you could do a cover of time man and oil man theme
The arps at 17:15 are off pitch :'(
Raise them by a half step and it could become the best song in this whole collection of remixes
Regardless, good work
Mega Man 2 when?
Reason I'm asking is because I'm making an MD+ soundtrack for the Wily Wars out of your arrangements, and I don't see that you finished any Mega Man 2 songs yet. Thanks a bunch!
Don't know when exactly, but I'll definitely get to it.
@@woodfrog9614 Just saw that you created a Bubble Man cover. Thanks a bunch!
Project Power Remix 12:02
Oh yea Woodfrog completed the MM1 YM2612 (except for Time Man & Oil Man)
say, how'd you manage to hack the wilywars rom, what did you use?
I meant regarding his minor projects, he has made hacks on WW in the past
The software he uses to hack the game is what I want to know
Nothing specific to Wily Wars I can think of, just your usual rom hacking fare. What I specifically used:

YES thank you for sharing!
Is there any way to import these tracks into an actual rom of Wily Wars?
I bet your YM2612 arrangements of Mega Man songs were inspired by TheLegendofRenegade. Your arrangements for Mega Man 4-6 songs are TheLegendofRenegade style arrangements of Mega Man: Complete Works songs minus the Power Battle Arrangements.
Can you do me a favor? Can you remake Mega Man 3's Rom Hack's music? It is called The Battle of Gamma.
No Timeman and Oilman?
Timeman and Oilman aren't real, they can't hurt you.
More accurately, they weren't in Megaman 1.
