Vastly different experience in the 3 compared to the 2. Both are too soft for me to run in because of my Joe Namath knees. But the 2 make a excellent recovery shoe to walk around in after my run somewhat like the Oofoos I wear around the house. As a forefoot striker, the 2's are great but the 3's perhaps because of the different geometry, thicker outsole rubber and the board under the insole making it more stiffer all contribute to me landing more flat footed and less foward. Instead of trying to please the people who found the 2's too unstable and end up offending the other half who found the shoe fine. Then maybe put out 2 different versions of this shoe. I think the 2 and 3 can co-exist and let the consumer decide which one feels better.
I got over 70 miles on mine, I like them a lot, but the upper material and the color options are the downside, also I had to use the runners knot and an aggressive tie down to get rid of heel slippage . Other than that it's my first max cushion shoe and I love running on it long miles .
On my 3rd pair of Invincible 3s. I recently ran the Twin Cities Marathon in a 2 week old pair and I was surprised how beat up my legs and especially front foot areas were. Last year I ran NYC Marathon in the beefy Hoka Bondis and had much less post race pain. Gonna check out some Asics road shoes to try to find a balance of performance and cushioning. Perhaps the Novablast?
I was so let down by this version. The pop, the control is just gone to me. I hate to admit it, but others who commented on locking on your foot were correct! Please bring back version 1or 2
Thanks Ethan! Honestly I had no idea people had recovery run shoes! Please consider reviewing the Torin 7… I am running in my super old Torin 4 waiting for a decent new version- I’d love to hear your thoughts on the latest iteration.
Same here, mine is still in the box, waiting for Nike to take it back. Retired a pair of Version 2 and thought to give the 3 a try since it's Black Fri Sale but was deeply disappointed. Luckily I have a new pair of version 2 and I have took it out from the box, just ran a 10k, so nice. Why Nike needs to ruin a good pair?😢
I tried INVINCIBLE 2, and I like it a lot; however, after running 50 km, the upper separated from the midsole. I believe the issue persists in INVINCIBLE 3, as it uses the same ZoomX midsole.
I tried the shoe in store, my ankle shape doesnt work 🙃. Alot of heel slippage for me, even tried the lace lock but at that point it just felt like it would eventually cause lace bite with how tight i tied em. It would be nice to how or if they change it for v4
Invincible 2 -1088km and good to go for probably 500km+ Invincible 3-18km they are more firm they could be better for steady paces I prefer the 2 who are more soft for slow easy run b
I have a pair, got them on their release date in 2023. As a heavy runner (210lbs) I thought these would be good for my long miles and they were to start with. However the squish started to not be so squishy. The sole burned through in places and some of the tread peeled away from the foam. One trick pony really. I’m actually looking for a replacement for my long road miles if people could suggest anything? Thinking maybe nimbus 25 or 26??
Alas, you kinda missed the mark with this one. I'd like to have seen a proper comparison with the V2's. Yes, the build quality has been improved. Yes, their design department should get plaudits for the overall look (they're a gorgeous pair of shoes - better than the previous versions). But when it comes to running performance, they're a drastic step down from their predecessors.
I did 120 km road ultra in the V1's, was OK maybe a bit soft as I got nerve irritation in the bottom of the foot. Would recommend the Vaporflys are they are faster and firmer, but they suck if you go < 6 min/km.
Coming from someone who wears Torins and Lone Peaks (maybe Olympus soon if my forefoot keeps acting up), we really need some "shoes of the people". Shoes that aren't a gorillian bucks, punch above their price, and would be acceptable to most people.
Was so excited for this shoe! I bought two pairs and forced myself to love them. But in reality they just aren’t as good and cushy as the invincible 1,2 Today I actually tried the ASICS nimbus 25 on one foot and invincible run 3 on the other and ran and walked. Invincible 3 is little bit softer when walking but running to me the nimbus 25 was more sink in soft the invincible 3 was more bouncy. Just my experience
The heel cup sucks massively on this…and the upper has no stretch for those of us with a voluminous foot. A 2E would have been nice…from the richest athletic company in the world that absolutely could afford it.
V2 was a really fun and super comfortable shoe, v3 is almost boring, not bouncy, not super plush, and the heel lockdown is terrible, disappointment of the year for me.
Problem is the hoka eva compound breaksdown quicker(less energy return to start with as well) and in colder weather has a greater performance loss. But you are right in terms of shoe build and geometry and price outside of sales.

I have the Invincible 3 and I love it for running with plantar fasciitis
Waiting for the Invincible 4. Hopefully it's like the first version again.
In their tik-toc cycle only the upper will change.

V2 still going strong for me, so will keep an eye out for V4 next year.
Hopefully the Zegama 2 comes in Gore-Tex too. 🤞🏻

I loved the 1 & 2 but for one issue: weight. I have switched to the Saucony Triumph.
Been going back and forth on these a lot since there seems to be so many poor reviews. Would be my first Invincible. Tempted to wait for V4 too.
Love the two V1’s I have.
On cloud eclipse - soft supportive love it

Recovery day shoe for me is the new balance more v4 more comfort and balanced max recovery king.

Question (personal:). How much do you weigh? Would these shoes be good for a 190lb (non- ginger) runner?

Even softer than the New Balance 1080v13? Would be hard to imagine but I’ll find out soon here as these are on the way
I tried that shoe on today and it's very uncomfortable, there's a big drop from heel to the forefoot it's like a cliff.
Question! Would you use this shoe for a 50k-60k road ultra if the goal is to complete the distance?
I'd probably prefer something with a bit more density in the midsole that won't limit my cadence and keep things peppy

I have flat feet or overponation … Is this shoes for my foot??
Cool thanks a lot!
Any substitute?
What colorway is that??
The 2s fit better for me.
Bold, unapologetic design team for this shoe...love it! Not buying a pair tho.
Wish i can afford this shoe 😢

Heel slippage is horrendous, upper on this shoe just sucks, hoping v4 is better.
When I saw the banner I thought it was more likely the invincible 4 review/first looks. Ginger you gotta get in earlier:-)
I always take my time 😂
A year late no?
Throwback Tuesday.
With Ethan neverrr
I take my time :)
It needs to be lower drop IMO.
It's not a race shoe.

They offer a wide on their website.
@@raybaumgardner how they’re not in stores is baffling
lol the point of no (energy) return indeed
The 3 is great people just sooky

Thats. A damn lie 😂
Nowhere close to a 1080v13 in terms of softness
First
Early
Waste of money, BUY Clifton 9 instead 😅

Hoka 🤮
