I just feel like if he wanted to just talk he would have called your name or something. The fact that he just followed you, without saying anything, and then got so angry when you wouldn’t open the door makes me think maybe he had bad intentions!!!

Exactly. A normal person would realize that sneaking up on someone in the dark would scare the shit out of that person, even if you had no ill intentions. If he wanted to talk, he would have yelled out, and run right up to her. So scary.

I’ve been followed home by 1 person and stalked by another. But my mom has had even more terrifying experiences. She once had an experience where she was driving home late at night after she had picked up her brother from the airport, but he was laying down asleep in the back of her car, so it appeared to others as if she was alone.
When she got home, she got out of her vehicle and she was reaching in the back to wake up her brother when she felt someone’s hands grab her around her waist! She screamed so loud that it woke her brother up and he sat straight up. The guy who had grabbed her was so shocked to see her brother there that he fled and took off in his van with his doors wide open. Yes, he had his van doors wide open as if he had planned on throwing her in there! She was so lucky that her brother was there. The guy obviously had very sinister plans that night.
My mother was always very overprotective of me and after the crazy experiences she had, I totally understand why. She’s passed away now, but I know she’s still watching over me from above.

Men can really take things to the next level when they get rejected. There has been so many occasions where I found myself trying to de-escalate situations with men by being friendly with them. The amount of times I have to double, triple check my locks at night, watching your back at night, etc. It’s not fair that we as women have to act a certain way whenever men are around because you just don’t know

So what did I do I didn’t listen and went farther and when I was looking at some jeans I felt someone staring at me I look up this man like in his mid 30’s was staring at me and grinning creepy and was slowly making his way to me and my hearts pounding at this point and I start zig zagging away from him as fast as I can he gets faster and there’s this older lady looking at dresses not too far from me and I clung onto her and hugged her saying there you are mom I couldn’t find you and she looks at me like what? And she saw the man looking at me and she just knew what was going on and said to me where have you been? I’ve been looking for you? And she looked at the direction the man was and she said ok he’s gone sweetheart where’s your mom are you ok? And I told her yes I’m ok now idk if my aunt is still by the shoe department and she says ok let’s go find her I’ll help you. When i noticed he would disappear and re-appear, I tested him by making turns and crossing the street... he followed every single time. I go so mad that i couldn't run in peace (i wasn't even scared), i stopped dead ass on the corner of the street, faced him across the street and called the police. He stayed there until he realized I was calling the police. I haven't ran at 5 am ever since, which sucks because I really loved it. Its frustrating! One day when I was in middle school I came home and decided to go over there and help my mom clean up her classroom. My big sister was waiting by the door to let me in. While I was walking the over there, a man was following me and I didn't even notice until my sister yelled for me to run because there was someone behind me. I have a list of stories like this. When I was about 13, camping with my family. It was nighttime and they had gone to bed and I was sitting at the picnic table playing my DS, some drunk older man (mid 30s?) came walking by and tried to get me to “go for a walk in the woods” with him. I was like sure! Let me go ask my DAD and he took off. That memory has always stuck out to me.
Last summer, I had to call the police twice because I was being followed on my way home. I live out in the country so a responding officer is at least 45 minutes away unless there happens to be one already in the area. I’ve been followed in the grocery store. But I have a mouth on me and if you make me uncomfortable, I’m going to cause a scene and make you feel 10x more uncomfortable. I’m that paranoid person that always sits facing the door. I clock my exits. I’m never on my phone, head on a swivel. And I carry a firearm now. I can’t depend on the police way out here. But bet your ass I have a dash cam, and I’m checking my mirrors constantly and taking note of vehicle descriptions. I know that makes me sound like a lunatic but I know it’s saved me at least a handful of times. Out here where there’s nothing but cornfields and woods as far as the eye can see. Plus I have a certifiably psychotic ex fresh outta prison with a vendetta against me. I’m not one of those angry gun types but I suggest you do whatever you need to do to protect you and yours. A blade, pepper spray, something. They’ve asked men in prison for assault how they choose their victims and they said they look for the one who’s alone with her face in her phone. Completely unaware of what’s going on around her. Y’all need to pay attention to your surroundings and clock where your kids are. It sucks but that IS the world we live in. These women and babies are being snatched up every day. These monsters are out there. They are at our jobs. They are at our favorite coffee stops. They are in our friends families. They are in your family. Even the amazing, God fearing, ultra involved dad my friend had that I wished was my own for yearrrrrs got busted for molesting his two girls. Can’t trust anyone

Just because some things don't make it to the media it doesn't mean that it doesnt happen! I have heard so many stories and have been through things myself. Also, people have shared their own experiences on reddit (subreddit:Lets not meet, creepy encounters, etc.) and these are REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES! When I was in middle school I was at my sister apartment alone and on this day she had a package that was coming that needed to be signed and I knew was coming. So when I got the knock on the door It was startling because it was really loud but I asked who it was anyways.. keep in mind I didn’t opened the door because I had this weird feeling. I asked who it was and he said he was The delivery man and he had a package that need to be signed and he said my sister named and asked if she was there.. side noteI have a very High pitch voice so in middle school you would definitely be able to tell am a child just from hearing me speak. I told him him no she isn’t here and he said that someone else could sign it if 18+ I told him I couldn’t sign it which I regret but at the time I don’t know why I would say that. Then he asked if I was alone which I never answered I just stood close to the door because he started to creep me out even more so I started to walk away because I knew he probably didn’t have the best intentions.. he started asking me to open the door over and over again and then started begging me to and at that point I was scared to even move and even started knocking a little bit as well.
also my sister door had a peephole back then but I never looked to see what he looked like which is kind of scary to think about because I was always at my sister place so if he ever came back I wouldn’t have recognized him.. he also sounded like he was going to cry tbh it was super weird I had chills going down my spine. but he gave up and just walked away. this day still terrifies me and I even told my sister but she told me not to tell my mother what happened that day and I actually listened.. I told her years later which is ridiculous to be honest.. I have so many weird experiences that happened at my sister apartment with her creepy neighbors.. once I was even changing and I looked out of the window because it was cracked a little and I saw an old white man looking up at me smiling I was so disgusted my mother freaked out as well.. ladies be careful people can be truly disgusting sometimes.

omg i’ve never commented on a video before but this came up on my recommendations & i had to comment my story because when you mentioned about being helpless & the fear you feel, i totally felt that. PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS NO MATTER THE TIME OF DAY BUT ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT!!
so my story: so this was about 4 years ago, it was at one of my local walmart’s, i had to go because i had ran out of shampoo or something, i can’t really remember what i needed but it was something that i had to go get. anyway, i go to walmart & it was probably around 8:30pm, so i go alone, i told myself to go quick, get what i need & head home. so that’s what i did. i grab what i need, pay & head out. i’m walking to my car & i parked a bit far because it was still kinda busy at that time, so there was no parking towards the front. anyway, i’m walking to my car & just like you, at the time i was driving an old car, a nissan, which also didn’t have the electric locks, i had to unlock it with the key and i also always had all the other doors locked because i never had anyone else in the car with me. so i’m walking to my car & i feel like someone is watching me so i look to my left & there are these 2 guys, just outside of their car chillin there & they’re looking at me so i immediately look away because i felt so uncomfortable & just had a weird feeling about it. so thankfully i already had my keys in my hand, i got my key ready so i could just stick it in the driver door & unlock it. i start walking fast because i still feel them staring at me & i get to my car so i immediately unlock it, as i’m getting in i throw my stuff in the passenger seat & close the door, locking it as i’m closing it. i put my key in the ignition & turn it on & i go to shift it to drive & i kid you not, as soon as i was about to shift it to drive i hear a knock on my window so i look up & it was one of those freaking guys!! i was like wtf at that moment & he was like oh hey can i show you something, trying to get me to come out of my car & i kid you not, I HEAR HIM PULL ON MY DOOR HANDLE TO TRY TO OPEN IT!! at this point i looked away & was like no go away & thank god there was no car in the parking space in front of me because i was able to just drive forward & get the heck out of there. i was so terrified because that’s the first time something like that had ever happened to me! & it was in public where there were multiple people around!! it was so terrifying & as i’m driving home i’m looking in my rear view mirror just to make sure i wasn’t being followed. i wasn’t & luckily my house was only like 5 minutes away so i got home & grabbed my stuff & ran tf inside. at the time, i was texting one of my good guy friends & i just told him everything that happened. i felt bad because i wished i had paid more attention to how the 2 guys looked like & what type of car they had but everything just happened so fast & i was so scared & shocked that those important details slipped my
mind. i’m so glad i was paying attention to my surroundings tho because what if i hadn’t. so please be aware, especially when you’re out alone. i don’t go to that walmart by myself since that happened. i have a bf now so he’s usually always with me. EVERYONE JUST BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!

I am so glad you’re okay. This happens so much more than people would like to think that it does...and several times. Last summer, in the middle of the day, I went on a walk. I noticed that this red truck that had just passed me, had turned around and parked at the very end of the street. I tried to quicken my pace but my legs felt like bricks and I felt so nervous. Suddenly, the window was rolled down and a man in an orange snapback stuck his head out. As soon as he opened his mouth to speak, my legs decided to start working and I RAN back to my house. 30 minutes later, my husband was like “Gina, was this the truck?” He had pulled up a post on Facebook from a friend local to us about a man in an orange snapback with a red truck that was following kids/teenagers and trying to lure them into said truck. I’m 38 but I am super small and could be mistaken for a teenager at first glance. We can’t even go for a walk in broad daylight without creeps trying to hurt us. We can’t walk from our car to our front door without gripping our keys. We can’t do so many regular things without fear. It is such a sad, scary world.

from a young age I was taught to always be aware of my surroundings, be aware of men, watch what I dress when men are around, etc. even when I go to the store I’m always watching my back because I know I’m a small petite girl who could be easy to snatch. I purposely walk into stores with a mean look on my face and when I catch men looking at me I have the reflex to look them in the eye and give them a dirty look. I’m always hyper aware of my surroundings but I’m glad I was taught to be that way but at the same time it’s sad for the reason why

When I was 15/16, so high school, I would walk to school every morning and walk home after cuz my school was literally only a 10 to 15 minute walk away. One morning as I was walking to school, an older man, maybe in his 40s, was riding a bike and came up to me acting like he knew me asking how I was and how school was going. I assumed, being my young naïve self, that he was like one of my friends dad who recognized me or something innocent like that. Until all the sudden he asked me to be his girlfriend. I literally stopped and was so fucking confused like ummm what? So of course I say no and start walking away, and ya'll this man started chasing me down the block to my school. Thankfully to get from the one side of the street where I was to the other side with the school it's like a big, busy main street and us kids would usually jaywalk across. That probably saved my life cuz I ran so fast across, and he couldn't follow me cuz of the barrier between the lanes was harder to get over on a bike. I remember being so scared because this was my first time being approached like that by a pedophile. From that day on my mom drove me to school in the mornings, and my best friend David would walk me home. Stay safe out there yall. 🙏

I'm having a stalking situation with my ex.. he crashed into my car, punched and cracked my windshield, threatened my life, stalked me for months, I had to move out of my apartment for my own safety (he broke into my home multiple times). He has been arrested 4 TIMES for breaking the protection order and they continue to let him out of jail. I have to carry a pepper spray gun on me at all times and can't go out at night by myself for my own safety... All I wanted was to be left alone.

I have to apply for a civil restraining order before he's released or there will be no buffer between him and myself. Honestly, I've learned that the only person that can protect you... Is YOU. Do whatever it takes to protect yourself so you don't become just another statistic. Stay safe fellow women!

The same thing happened to me expect it was a group of guys who were possibly drunk I'm not sure. So basically I was returning from my college event and it was around 10 pm. While I was walking through this narrow dark alley a few minutes away from my house, I heard loud laughters, whispers and foot steps from behind....I was terrifyed I didn't even look back I was just walking fast but by then ,they were already by my side...there were four of them and they were laughing, pulling my dress, pulling my hands and talking shit to me....one of them said something like I just need to listen to what they say and they won't do anything to me but at this point I was running like crazy....I immediately changed my ways as I didn't want them to know my location and went inside a small family restaurant. Fortunately the owner knew me and I told him everything ,he escorted me to my home back.... I'm really thankful to him ❤️

Unfortunately I’ve experienced things like this a lot too, I’ll mention one here. When I worked as a server at a restaurant I had this man come in who quickly became a regular. He always asked about me when I wasn’t there and sat in my section. After a few weeks he would bring me gifts, flowers, chocolates, cards etc. I never accepted any of them, he always gave me a bad feeling. So I told my co workers and managers I was uncomfortable by him. One day I was working he tried asking my coworker what my schedule for was. I would tell the host to tell him my section was full so he couldn’t be sat with me and he would just sit in the bar and stare at me. Anyway one day I got off the closing shift at 1 am and I’m walking to my car alone when I hear my name and look it’s him, he was sitting in his car waiting for me. It was scary because he hadn’t ate at the restaurant, he drove there just to see me. He ended up asking me on a date and said he knew my shifts and times I was off. I declined the date and left but I didn’t drive home from fear he’d follow me. After that I would always walk with a coworker when I got off late. But one day I had forgot about him and was so tired when I got off I just walked out alone and drove home, I hadn’t see him at all for about 2 weeks. Once I was home I was getting my things out of my car and he pulls up. I got so scared, he followed me home. He started talking to me talking as if what he did wasn’t wrong on so many levels. At that point I didn’t even want to walk inside my house because I was so sacred of Turing my back to him, I also park on the street so he wasn’t sure which one was my house yet. So I acted like I forgot I was meeting my bf and drove away. He followed me for a few streets and I called the cops. A few nights later At around 2 am my neighbor called my mom saying there was a man in our front yard looking into the windows. The police got him and it was the dude from my job. There’s a lot more little details but those were the main things, definitely one of the scariest experiences I’ve had.

I was followed out of Walmart twice. The second time, I kept seeing this man around the store & he kept making eye contact. I shrugged it off thinking that we were probably just on the same route. I kept seeing him up until I walked to the front to check out. I check out and sort of speed walk to my car because it got dark outside while I was shopping and I wasn't tryna get snatched up. I'm already a fast walker, and I was making a conscious effort to walk faster than I normally do. I heard footsteps coming from behind me and it sounded like someone was almost jogging to catch up to me. So I start jogging to my car and I could still hear the footsteps & they are getting closer. (In my head I was like damn I'm basically jogging so there's no way this person isn't just walking to their car, they are clearly trying to get to me). I'm almost to my car and I hear someone shout hey and I don't look back and keep jogging to my car. This man literally runs up on me and shouts hey again, and I can tell he's super close to me now and it scared me so I turned around & it was the guy that was following me around Walmart. He was like hey I just wanted to tell you that you're beautiful etc., etc. I literally went OFF on this man saying wtf is wrong with you, you don't follow people out to their cars, I saw you following me around the store you could have said what you needed to then, do you think its ok to follow a female into the parking lot, at night? Mind you, I was 20 when this happened and this man was in his 40s. So I went off on him, told him my dad is his age, and kindly asked him to back tf off. I threw my groceries in my car, locked the car, and skirted out of there. Always be aware, this could have been so much worse.

Back before I had a car I used to rely on public transportation. I can’t remember if I worked the late shift that night or just got out of class because I was in grad school at the time. That night my uncle couldn’t pick me up.
So I’m at the bus stop, it’s late at night, and I hate this particular stop because it’s behind the mall and right across from the parking garage. There was a guy standing in the first stall to I went two down from him. He decided to start walking near where I was, I got uncomfortable so I reached for my knife and just held it in my hand (I always carried a knife and pepper spray). He then stands right in front of the stall I was in and starts looking over at me. At this point he’s less than 10 feet away and I flicked out my knife blade so damn quick! He swiftly turned around and walked away. I called a friend and watched in the direction he walked until I couldn’t see him anymore. Thankfully the bus pulled up a minute later.
I was so over it that night. I was working two jobs, school full time and was not about to let this fool get away with anything. He picked this right one that night! I told my family what happened and thankfully I was able to purchase my car a month later.

Okay I’m gonna say it because it has affected my life ever since. I love how nikki is spreading awareness to this too.
One day I had this guy I would work with and this was a night shift job so when I would get off of work it would be 1am in the morning. So everyday I would work and this man would watch me work. It started off insistent but then he started trying to ask me out and I wasn’t with anyone but I know that work relationship or dating never works out so I would always refect him in a nice way and he would stop but the next day it would be the same..I don’t like conflict or drama so i let this behavior slide...(bad on my part) 6 months goes by I’m still working at this job and it hasn’t changed with his actions...man this is a long story but I’ll just keep it to the point. He started harassing me and got my number send me rude messages and it got to the point where he know when my last break and when I would get off and try and walk me to my car or already be out there when I got off..I couldn’t take it anymore so the last time he tried doing this I confronted him and told he needed to leave me alone or I would have to tell our manager or HR department. This got him to leave but I knew if I didn’t report him anyways it was never gonna change. So I explained my situation the next day not wanting to work that day and I had my people I would confide in help clear my story but to be honest I kept this guys messages and they weren’t the nicest and the HR person right away took action. For any other girls like this please know that being silent isn’t the best way to handle a situation, and believe and trust your gut. You are never alone and I love you nikki for spreading the awareness. I can’t say that enough but love you and be safe out there girls and guys
P.s. he got fired the days fallowing and I never saw him again, but I never walked out of work along again my remaining time on the job.

For some reason the weirdos always give off bad vibes. I watch a lot of true crime and I’ve always been cautious of my surroundings. Some say I could be overly paranoid but it’s always a young small female who really ends up getting hurt or killed. It’s so crazy because someone I work so close with had threaten my life to prove his dominance as a “tough guy”. I literally told him if he was threatening me that it would be a big problem and he needed to leave. I saw him walk out the door and I grabbed my taser and called my husband ASAP. I told my boss afterwards about the situation and he set him straight- I honestly thought he should have fired him. But the following night after I was closing he came into the office and wanted to apologize. I stepped back and grabbed a large box cutter that was on the desk- he looked at me and paused. I listened hence the fact that my husband was in the other room waiting for me after he heard about the first situation. My coworker seemed genuine but I know he was aware that I could not go down if he really meant what he said prior. I know this story is a bit much but really watch out for yourself. I’m always working late nights so I make sure I park as close as I can. I carry a taser, pepper spray, flashlight and phone on speaker when I have to leave by myself late at night. Better to be overly safe and cautious than none at all. I’ve watched your channel since day one! And I’m glad you have never encountered this “Eddie” guy again. Everyone be aware and stay safe!

The scariest story I’ve ever heard was one from my mom when she was 15 and out at a telephone booth at 10pm. She was talking to someone on the phone and the booth was at a dead end of a street. There was no one around except this one car infront of the booth and this guy was sitting in the car staring at my mom weirdly. So out of now where, she dropped the phone and ran out of the booth to get home since she only lived a minute away. The guy turned his car around so fast and drove all the way down the street to follow her and when she got to her door, no one was answering so she dropped on the floor and was laying down on the porch in the dark and the guy was driving by her house and she said she seen him looking all around probably wondering where she went. It was scary

This happened a few years back but it's still something that sticks with me and makes me rethink about walking by myself, no matter how near or far I'm going...my mama's siblings have always lived in close proximity to us, pretty much a minute or two drive or a five minute walk. One day my cousin and I planned to go for a walk at this nature garden about ten minutes walk from our houses and said we would meet at the end of her street which connects onto mine (you literally walk past six or seven houses from mine and you're on her street). I was fifteen/sixteen at the time, so I told my mama that I was leaving and started walking. I noticed this guy on the opposite side of the road but didn't think much of it. I turned out of my driveway and had just walked past the neighbours house when I heard footsteps and looked behind me to see this guy had crossed the road and was now not too far behind me. I started to freak out a little and sped up but I could still hear the footsteps. Thankfully a few seconds later my cousin appeared at the end of the street and noticed immediately, so she made a big point of waving out to me and everything. When I reached her the guy crossed the road again and walked back up the street.

i have a story like this. when i was in grade 6 (11 or 12 years old) i was walking home from school with some friends. my mom never let me walk alone because i was like 5'0 and 70lbs and my momma doesn't trust nobody. she agreed to let me walk halfway with my friend, and said she would meet me at the intersection where my friends house is, about 10 mins down the street from my house. so we leave 2 girls at the bus stop by our school and me and my friend "Sarah" start walking towards our neighbourhood. We get to the intersection where Sarah's house is and my mom isn't there yet, and we notice a man waiting to cross towards us on the other side of the intersection. when i tell you this man was staring into my soul, his presence made me so uncomfortable so i'm already wary of him. There were no cars on the road cause it was the middle of the day and it's a small neighbourhood. So he J-walks towards us and my friend asks me "should I just j-walk?" and he replies "yes" to her. so of course we're both like that was weird why is he talking to us. anyways we brushed it off and she crossed the street to go to her house, and my mom still wasn't there yet. i didnt want to start walking and have this man behind me, so i pretended to be waiting for the bus to allow him to pass but he just stopped with me and pretended to read the bus map. that's when i knew he was definitely shady and i needed to get away from him. my phone was in my backpack, so i couldnt pull it out to call my mom but i knew she was coming to meet me so i started walking hoping we'd meet at some point. the man started to walk behind me and follow me up the street, and of course i begin to panic a bit and start to walk faster and faster, but i could hear his pace speeding up behind me too. by the time i made it to the next crosswalk i was fully sprinting down the street, and i finally saw my mom standing on the other side next to some apartment buildings. i ran up to her as fast as i could and explained to her that man was following me, and literally burst into tears in her arms. when i looked back to see him, he was walking back towards the same bus stop we had just come from, as if he hadnt been following me.

There have been 3 times in my life where I've been followed somewhere by men. All 3 involved me riding a bike.
At 8, I was followed home. The car sat outside my house for an hour waiting for me to come back out.
At 13, I was followed down the road and had to ditch my bike and run into peoples backyards. The men laughed when I tried to pedal faster to get away and ended up breaking my chain.
At 16, my friend and I were followed by a white van for multiple blocks and the van even tried to drive in reverse down a one way when we turned around to get away.
Probably why I ended up being Criminal Justice/Psychology major.

this one time my sister was walking to the gas station at night to get cigarettes... she would’ve drove but she didn’t have a car at the time... I think her car broke down or something ... I don’t remember but anyways she said there was these 3 guys in a van & they drove by her as she was walking & they opened the door & she had to run... they tried snatching her up & I told her why were you walking at night? the first time i was followed was about 5 years ago when i was 12. it was at a walmart, i was walking around by myself. i passed this man at one point, we made eyecontact, and i noticed his cart was empty. A little later, i passed him again, his cart still empty. But this time, i looked back at him and he pulled a whole 180 and started following me. he followed me for a while before i lost him in the clothing section and hid behind a rack of clothes. I watched him frantically look for me and i booked it and told someone who worked there. i havent been to a walmart since. a few years ago, i waa at all the mall and this guy (30-40's) started following me. i lost him and went to the bathroom later on bc i really had to pee (bad idea) but luckily there were other girls in there. i finished washing my hands and went to walk about before this man literally came into the womens restroom. I was like "the hell are you doing" and he said "oh i thought this was the mens" and i told him obviously the fuck not and he walked out. but he never went into the mens restroom. he just left.

When I was 16 I had a girl friend who was 15 and used to party a lot. One day she invited me out to a club with her and I said yes! I usually used to take my best friend with me but that day she was sick and was not able to go. Well that day I got very drunk, she didn’t because she was one of those girls who pretended to drink but really didn’t. On our way out the club some guys started following us. They asked my friend if we wanted to go to an after party and my friend said yes but they said I had to go too. I said no even though I was drunk but my friend kept insisting So I ended up saying yes. On our way to the their car one of my good guys friends that happened to be at the same club saw me stumbling and came up to me and asked me if I was okay. He was a boxer. I explained to him that my friend wanted to go with those guys to an after party and as soon as he saw the guys I was talking about he said no. He carried me and took me to his car and took me to my best friends house. A few days later we were talking about what happened that day and they told me that the guys followed us to my best friend’s house and were asking my other friend to grab me so I could go with them so my guy friend went up to them and told them that I was not going anywhere and if they didn’t leave he was going to beat them up. So they left. I never talked to my other friend ever again.

When I was walking to my car a group of truck drivers were hollering at me to come over there. It was probably midnight and I was terrified. One of them started walking towards me and I was locked out of my car.

Being nice to "nice guys" can always be taken as much more to them, they have such a hard time accepting rejection. I had a grown ass coworker that couldn't accept the fact that I said no to want a relationship or anything of the sort. I was 17 he was 21 almost halfway through college. He would hang around work even on his days off if he knew I was there "just to talk" to me, he was a lead and all I could do was be nice to him or else I would have a shitty shift the weekends he was lead. The fact that almost all women will have a story like this blows my mind.

when i was in middle school, i would walk home every day. it was about a 30 min walk. every time i would have to pass by an alley. well one day after school i’m walking home, and i pass by the same alley, i see 3 men. they looked like they were in their early 20s and they started saying “hey! where are you going?” i ignored them and felt this really weird feeling at the bottom of my stomach. when i looked at them they started walking towards me fast, i literally heard my inner voice telling me to run. i didnt hesitate and sprinted all the way home. i ran as fast as i could for almost 10 mins. my parents weren’t home yet but my uncle used to live next door. i ran into my house and locked the door, i couldn’t even breathe. i told my parents when they got home and they didn’t let me walk home alone after that. my parents have always been straight up when it comes to the real world. never be on your phone when walking, always look whats around you and be aware of your surroundings even when you’re alone. keep protection on you, whether it’s a knife, taser, pepper spray, a gun. and always trust your instincts. i don’t care who it is, but i won’t go down without a fight. it’s sad that women have to be hyper aware and always think about the worse case scenario, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. i’ve had friends tell me that i’m being paranoid, but i don’t care. be safe everyone 🧡

Wthhh, why doesn't UA-cam notify me anymore when you upload.
Edit: One of my experiences that stick out was my junior year. I was 17, both me and my bestie. We used to do this thing where we'd text each other to meet up at our high school track after school, to usually vent about something or simply catch up. So we were there since like...5 in the evening, the sun was still up. We were so caught up in conversation though, that we weren't paying attention to the sun. It was around 8, already pitch dark. We didn't think too much of it, cause my bestie lived right around the corner. We start getting cold and start heading out towards her street. Once we got close though, on the corner of her street, there were 2 men just standing there. I didn't really think much of it, but my friend pulled me by my arm and started making us walk the opposite direction. I look over at her and ask her what's up. And she tells me she's seen those dudes around her street before and knows they're kinda sketchy. She didn't feel comfortable walking past them. So I'm like, okay. I turn around just cause something told me to, and I realized that these men were now following us. Not too close behind us, but still. So I tell her we can't go back into the track. There's hardly any lights and we could easily get trapped in since there is a fence around it with only one exit. So I pull her past the gates. She starts panicking immediately. I'm usually the more anxious one, but in this situation, I knew I couldn't let both of us panic. One of us needed to try and think a little more clearly. So she's freaking out and I tell her to call her sister, and tell her that we can just turn down the other street. My aunt lived down the street, thankfully. I tell her that as soon as we round that corner, we need to book it. Run as fast as you can. So as soon as we did, we sprint down the street. I could see that my aunt wasn't home, but I pulled her into my aunts garage and we could just hide behind her other car. I was curious, so I peeked around the car and see that these men stopped at the end of the street. These men SERIOUSLY STOPPED, and LOOKED AROUND. So my heart sunk, cause them looking around for us just confirmed that they were after us. They turned back the other way and I held my friend in my arms while she had a panic attack. I took her phone and spoke to her sister. She came with her husband to pick us up. We were obviously fine, but that was so scary. Especially with us being teens.

He somehow got my address and sent me his hair (it said it was his hair, but who knows) and some other weird shit. I blocked him on Facebook before the mail incident, and SOME fucking how he ended up unblocked, on my personal Facebook friends list, and was sending me threatening messages like "you think its that easy to get rid of me?". I haven't seen or heard from him in years, but I never post where I live, I never share my location, never post any distinguishable photos of my home or property that could be found. I still, all these years later, feel like I'm being watched. I have other weird stories that I feel like might have been him too.

He gave me a weird feeling. He said he could not afford the charger, so I bought him one hoping he would charge up his phone and leave. 12:30 am rolls around, and he was still sitting in the store charging his phone. I texted my guy friend about it, so he came up there and waited in his car for me right outside the front door. I closed up and walked out to my guy friend's car when it was time to leave, and the guy tried to get in my friend's car.
Another time, I was working at that same job and a random man tried to follow me out to my car and ask me for a ride.

Thank you for sharing your story of self awarness when you are out and about! This is my first time commenting on your channel, but I really feel like someone needs to hear my experience with walking alone in the dark, remember to ALWAYS trust your gut. 2 years ago, my family worked a lot of hours and they couldn't pick me up from my bus stop because at the time daylight savings was going on, and it got dark really fast. My college is downtown so it takes nearly 2 hours or more to get to my side of town and when I got to my bus stop it was pit black outside. I was very concerned because I was by myself and my neighbor wasn't at home to pick me up so I had to be brave and walk a mile to my house. Now check this out, earlier that day, my mother told me to wear a vest so that people can see me so I won't get run over, but I had a gut feeling about not wearing it so I didn't. When I was on the phone with my dad, all of a sudden a white van slowly came out of the dark and i booked it. Thankfully they didn't see me, cause I ran so fast I didn't look back. By the time I got home I was so scared I never felt that scared before. It was a very traumatic experience, and even though i had a flash light, it wasn't enough to keep me calm. Everytime we drive by the complex where i saw that van I couldn't look at it the same again. I know it's not of a crazy experience, but it still does have an effect on me. I told my parents to never, ever let me do that again. I don't care if i have to pay my neighbor I will never do that again. At that moment I didn't care if i was being paranoid, I rather be paranoid than a tragic story.

I think it’s also important that people realise that this can and does also happen during the day as well as at night. I used to get the train to see my boyfriend and a man who used to get on the train I once saw him sit with a group of young girls on a pretty much empty train. Idk if he saw me watching but the next time I got on the train he sat opposite me and then he kept getting closer and closer. The final time I got on the train he ‘fell’ on top of me trying to get to a bin. He would always chose to sit next to women on the train and it was always empty so he had plenty of choice of seat . I hate that the responsibility is on us to be careful and not on the people who act like this to change their actions.

There was this guy in high school during my freshman year that was just a creep. We became friends during football season and I notice he was on the JV team. We talk casually in a class that we had together and I really didn’t think anything of that conversation that we had. We just talked about sports cause I ran cross country and track during the school year. After that day he started running up to me in the hallways, finding me at my locker, and sitting by me in the cafeteria. When he started leaving letters in my locker I started to get a weird feeling. I could tell that he liked me but I didn’t feel the same way for him.
Well back then he started calling my house phone even tho I didn’t give him my number. One of my friends gave it to him. He would call so much that we had to turn the phone off which made my grandma super pissed because she didn’t like for ppl in our family to not have a way to reach her. So I reported him to the school and told the officer that I wanted him to leave me alone and to stop calling me. I didn’t say anything that made him think I was interested in him at all. Idk why he acted that way and would find any opportunity to talk to me.
I ended up getting into a big argument with my coach and got kicked out of the high school I was going to and got transferred across town to the school where I ended up graduating from. Me transferring to GV was what I needed I felt like I fit in at the school and made so many friends with teacher and my peers and totally forgot about the creep from my old high school. Well back then Facebook became really popular and I remember everyone had one so I made one too. And I shit you not the day after I created my account I get a friend request from that creep from my old school 😣 I just blocked him and moved on with my life. I had to block him 3 more times after that because he kept making a new Facebook account. But yeah that’s my experience with dealing with a creepy ass dude like that. I’m so sorry that happened to you nikkie. I’m glad you ran when you did because who know what he was wanting to do😣 I’m glad your hear to tell your story for us. Eventually I dropped him off at his car and I walked back to the coffee shop to do homework but on my way back, an old lady stopped me and asked if I knew the guy that was following me. The guy I went on a date with didn't get in his car and had been following me. Thankfully she walked with me until I got to the coffee shop but when I got there, I saw him standing outside watching me. Damn, I too had a couple of stalking situations. One of them me and my best friend went out for New Year at my hometown and we were followed by a group of 5 guys home. We didn't find out about it till we arrived back home where we lived but that's not even the creepiest thing. They asked one of the ladies in the building where we lived and called out us by our names. First AND last names. So fucking creepy. I mean, it's more likely that they knew me but definitely not my best friend because her last name is not even heard of at my hometown. I had a hunch they somehow found us by stalking our Instagram. So I highly recommend putting your insta on private.

Don’t put your homes, cars, full names, even kids, new purchases, anything that makes you distinguishable or a target out on social media.
      Glad you’re ok x

Iv had a stalker and been followed for over three years it got so bad he would call my parents and tell them what he was going to do to me what I was wearing. My parents got so I wasn’t alone for any length of time. They would always be checking on me and my husband got so he would change his schedule just to be with me. So I know what you want through I’m so sorry ❤️
