  • NOT TO BE MISSED! Carnivore doctor Shawn Baker acknowledges insufficient evidence to determine whether the carnivore diet plays a role in disease development?!
Uploaded on Lauren Knight Hughes's UA-cam channel, this engaging video features Dr. Garth Davis, a staunch advocate for plant-based living, and Dr. Shawn Baker, a fervent carnivore proponent, as they explore the complexities of diet, health, and longevity. Is meat consumption the culprit behind lower life expectancies, or is the issue far more nuanced?
From the role of unprocessed versus processed meats to the impact of dietary choices on chronic diseases like heart disease and cancer, this discussion uncovers the multifaceted nature of nutrition and its effects on our health.

When I was young I basically ate whatever I wanted.... literally. With no real health issues...lets see where the carnivores are in 20 years because when you hit your mid 50s early 60s is when things start going south.

What people don't know is that the carnivore diet is 100 years old. Most people believe it's new, it's not!!! Low carb diets inevitably fail and just rebrands every few years. In the last decade we've seen Paleo, Keto, Carnivore, which are variations of low carb diets.

I went WFPB 10 years ago, my husband, 7 years ago. Neither of us have to take prescription meds. I am at the BMI I was aiming for, down 80 lbs., feeling great. But we did have to work harder for my husband. But it was with it.
We remember our parents with their cancers, dementias, diabetes type II, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and their joint replacements, hospitalizations - neither of us wanted a repeat performance as I had to take care of my parents. We are there to help our son’s family, fit to take care of the 3 year old twin boys, as we made better choices in nutrition. Our food tastes good. We don’t miss the weight we lost.

What's almost never spoken about even if both diets are equal which they are not, how does a planet with over 8 billion people feed itself without killing the planet, the ethical and health benefits of a whole plant food diet diet is undeniable. The environmental impact of a carnivore diet is disastrous for the planet , Eat less meat and fish and more plants.

There’s a difference between healthy right now and healthy in the long term. Just because you feel good now or your labs “look good” now doesn’t mean it’s not subject to change. Hence why the long term plant based studies are indisputable.

Do these ppl realise what they are even talking about at all and why do meat eating ppl often come across as a narcissistic and a psychopath !

Whole food Plant based is the one and only way to lead a long term healthy lifestyle.

It doesnt matter to me whether or not eating meat is unhealthy. Its whether or not being vegan you can live a long healthy life, that's the important question.
Yes you can be healthy as a vegan and the greatest part of this fact is you can be healthy and not take the life of several other beings in the process.
Why hurt anyone when you dont have to. Some people are very selfish and this doesnt bother them. I feel bad for those people because they lack a human trait that many good people have, that's empathy. If you can empathize with an innocent being that is tortured and killed for taste pleasure or to look musclely because what you look like matters to you more that little lives.
I'm glad I care for others, I would hate to be ignorant of others pain.
Sadly some people lack empathy and I guess it's not their fault and those people wont be convinced. You cant make someone care if they dont. I know so many people that will hurt other people to get what they want, what chance do sweet innocent animals have.

That whole year I struggled working out and decided to go plant based in 2014. I did some Zumba and things for a few years after that but nothing vigorous compared to running or jogging that I was attempting before. In 2017 I stopped exercising completely but kept eating a whole food plant based diet (but I did and still do eat oil and sugar). This year 2024 I am 34 almost 35 and I decided to start working out again for heart health. My VERY FIRST workout was a jog verging on a run and I was able to continuously run 4miles without stopping or taking a break. I have continued and am only getting better and better at it, faster and farther with ease. I do eat plant based for ethical reasons but this was just something that was insane to me and I did not see this coming. How could it be possible that I can do more than I was at 24 (my weight has always been normal on both diets). The final outcome of responses Dr Nagra made on the lifting vegan logic channel or just priceless and completely exposed this so-called carnivore King.
The three videos that followed the debate, climaxing with Dr Nagra and Danny, shed so much light on how blindly people are following Baker and how gravely Baker inflates and deflects through overgeneralizing, essentially lying, and misleading he has been and continues to be throughout the process to his audience of vulnerable people taking him seriously. Even with something as simple as responding to Dr Nagra. It was so easy to fact check what Nagra said in his initial short. Thank you for sharing. I give credit to both males for having this discussion. Each one
totally believes what they are saying and eating, yet they are totally opposite dietary choices,
and yes--vegan is a lifestyle saving animals, while "carnivore" kills animals at every meal.
Carnivore humans are terribly afraid of eating any plants and completely link their strength,
virility, masculinity, testosterone, control, and dominance on eating only animals. It seems a survival instinct from past lives. Vegans have great compassion for animals, yet are not 'afraid'
    of eating them.
One other thing fascinates me. Why do some men with large upper bodies consistently wear t-shirts that are clearly one size too small?.
What "makes you feel better" is based on the deficiencies of your previous food choices.
Many processed white carb, sugar-laden, nutritionless foods can easily enable an eating disorder. Yet, eating disorders are MUCH more than physical, they are largely emotional and psychological.
I believe it is near impossible to have an eating disorder on just eating just animal stuff. Yet, how does this 'diet" solve the emotional issues from eating disorders, that does not make sense....

Consider the possibility that a carnivore diet truly IS an eating disorder. Cutting out junk food, allergens and sensitivities can cause many to truly feel better, but most have been culturally programmed to believe in the "importance" of consuming meat.

his ass because he wants to avoid lawsuits of someone getting sick on his "diet" and taking
him to court. The sad sad thing is that he promotes something casually that kills so many
gentle helpless animals, and will make many fans, sick and constipated. Yet, he has a right to make his own choices.

I wrote this song, surely you'll like it ua-cam.com/video/0JyM4pNWFJI/v-deo.html
I'm a carnivore, hear me roar
I eat meat from dusk 'til dawn.
No greens, no beans no leafy scenes,
Just steak, ribs, and eg-eggs bacon dreams.
    Oh, my diet's grand, I'm a meat-eatin' man,
I'll have another burger, if I can.
But my heart's a-flutter, and my gut's in a clutter,
From all this red meat, I'm starting to stut stut tut tut tut ...stutter!
I scoff at salads (I laugh at fruit)
    Give me a T-bone (that's my pursuit)
My cholesterol's soaring (my arteries clogging)
But I'll never admit that my health's a-falling!!!!
    Oh, my diet's graaand (I'm a meat-eatin' man)
I'll have another steak (if I can)
But my waistline's expanding (my doctor's demanding)
That I lay off the meat!!! but I'm still standiiiing!!!!!
I'll grill up a sausag (sizzle up some ham)
    I'll devour a prime rib (don't give a damn)
But my body's protesting (my health's manifesting)
    In ways I never imagined
    it's truly arrestiiing!!!!
I'll chew on a brisket, munch on some jerky,
But my digestion's gone wonky (oh, what a turkey!)
My kidneys are groaning, my gut's in rebellion,
But I'll stick to my meat!!! it's my culinary heaveeeen!
    Oh, my diet's grand, I'm a meat-eatin' man,
Having another hotdog just becasue i caan
But my doctor's despairing (my health's beyond repairing)
From my carnivorous ways! there's no escapiiiing!!!
As I marinate my steak (in honey-glaze so sweet)
With spices that dance (and a funky beet)
My taste buds tingle (with every succulent bite)
But guilt starts creeping (by the kitchen light)

The problem with Carnivore's and Vegans is they both think their ways are the only way to have a healthy diet and that is simply not true. While the evidence is strong that people that eat fruit and vegetables live longer it doesn't mean you have to completely exclude animal products to have a healthy diet.

We do need to ask how important is the microbiome really when there are many people alive with no large intestine, look up "stoma".
From what I remember the large intestine only supplies around 6% of our energy needs.

    • @sandralison7584
      @sandralison7584 3 місяці тому +1

You are talking as if the small intestine doesn't need a healthy microbiome. And what having people who were sick, so they need a stoma have to do with a usual gut friendly diet for still healthy people? And they are people without a stomach, does this mean we shouldn't care about our stomach health? There are people who don't have legs, did this mean we shouldn't care for our legs if we have them?

    • @Meathead-10810
      @Meathead-10810 3 місяці тому +1

@@sandralison7584 It means that there is probably too much importance or emphasis placed on microbiome - the latest health buzzword/craze - the stomach is supposed to kill most bacteria and the small intestine does not have much bacteria. The large intestine is where fiber if processed by lots of bacteria and if people can be healthy without it then possible it's not as important as we thought. It does have other uses like reabsorbing bile, salts and other things so I do wonder about that.

    • @sandralison7584
      @sandralison7584 3 місяці тому

@@Meathead-10810 fiber is a good prevention for insulin spikes. As for example fiber rich foods are way slower digested so the glucose is entering the bloodstream very slowly and gradually.
Actually fiber is important for the small intestine and the body, because you absorb the calories way slower and way mire gradually.
Also fiber is good for obesity prevention. Food without enough fiber can't tell the body that you already have eaten enough. You eat way more calories without fiber. The majority of ultra processed foods are actually fiber deficient, and this is a problem.
