Awesome, The crowds demeanor changed instantly when Jesus healed that mans broken leg, and yet the hard hearted religous leaders (Pharisees) could see many miracles done by Jesus and still deny His Lordship, not wanting to loose their religious control and $$ income over the people.

I think back then they were quicker to interpret miracles as magic or sorcery and perhaps not divine. Oddly, even in our age of glorification of pagan and new age rituals celebrating ‘magic’, people would probably believe that something miraculous that they saw (and couldn’t deny or explain) as something from God (and not witchcraft or magic).

An augur is a soothsayer. They would interpret birds flight or lightning, read the entrails of a chicken, etc. and tell if a project was beginning on a good omen or not. What she says is that the augur converted, and that nobody had the guts to begin construction or any other project without knowing if it was approved by the gods or not.

The impression I got is they were mad at eachother. Politics and Racial Identity was their Religion. Also I wasnt surprised about Shmuel. At first hes the only Pharisee to compare it too, but in the midst of His Legalism the Man has a Heart, and look at all the other Rabbis in the Story whos Hearts became Hardened, he did not Harden his Heart. I dont know if you know this or All Missions are the same, but the one None Latterday Saint production Missionaries are allowed to watch is The Chosen. And its not a Latterday Saint show and its the only TV Show ive ever watched that causes me to Cry. This Season Ive probably shed enough tears to fill a Coffee Mug.

Do you or anyone see yourselves in the crowd in the Decapolois?
Each group is defending their position. Each group thinks they’re right.
    Let’s think on this stuff?
Jesus is the answer, is the unifier.
We have no clue as to the depths and the heights of God’s transcendence.
We are different people on this earth with our own likes and dislikes.
    Think about that please.
Let’s do some introspection. God bless you all.

Great Video Snipe Life, this is probably one of my favourite plot points from the Chosen , seeing all the different ethnic/ religious groups with their own socio-political problems clashing together and Jesus and the disciples were in the middle of it.
I was just a bit disappointed we didn’t see a full resolution to all their inquiries, it was nice to see Jesus as peacemaker and judge , it would have been nice to see him provided solutions to the town’s conflicts and then demonstrate his credibility by the teaching & feeding.
Perhaps they’ll summarize it in season 4 but it seemed like they kinda simply dropped the point entirely lol. Also hope we see more of Leander in season 4. He could be the first one of many Greek followers Jesus had.

If the actor has a less than perfect knees, like I do. When I sit on the ground, I'm like the paralytic. Or I rest on my knees kneeling.
Or behind door #2, maybe it is anticipation of action. Or door#3, it is in less than complete obedience to Jesus' "sit down". Maybe his legs would cramp up after the long run to get there.

Question: Why did Leander lie to Jesus when he pretended not to know that Jesus was in the group walking into the Decapolis as he hid on the hill with his two friends? He said in a surprised tone, "You?"
And why did he lie again when his friends ran down the mountain after he signaled to them, and apologized to Jesus saying that he didn't mean to spring the boy and his deaf/mute father on Him? He was pretty much lying-in-wait!
I understand why he would spring the duo on Jesus (for healing), but I don't understand why he'd blatently lie about it to the Lord who knows all. Is he going to turn out to be an adversary in future episodes? Thank you in advance for your insight❣️

And Jesus walked on water twice right? In one of them, after the storm, the disciples with Jesus encounter a necropolis and the demon-possessed man and the herd of pigs that drown afterwards. Gentile means anyone that is non Jew so we are Gentiles for example.
Specifically the Gentile groups here are the Syrophonecians , the Nabateans, and Greeks.
The Syro-Phoenicians are originally from *Lebanon*. (Lebanon was home to the Phoenician kingdom)
The Nabateans are a proto-Arab group from Eastern Jordan & Northern Arabia.
And the Greeks of course are migrants from Greece.
