The Chosen ~ ls Yusef going to become Joseph of Arimathea? There's no good reason that Yusef should have a soft spot for Jesus, and for Nicodemus. l just got a feeling ..learning how you guys write. Merry Christmas Dallas, and Amanda! :D
I am in my fourth and last episode of cancer in my life, and I know that 2023 will be short for me. Jesus' message to James to hold on for just a little longer, that he will leap as a deer, and that the Lord trusts him to remain in a state of suffering, but to still remain immovable in his faith of the Lord's love-priceless. I've watched your commentary four times now, and am touched and brought to tears each time. Thank you!
Please read 1 Corinthians 15:43-57 in the The Passion Translation. You will be Glorious! And crowned with His Glory as He takes you into His arms of Love & into His Home to be with Him forever.
The best part about the scene with Little James is that he was vulnerable with Jesus, and even with his pain was able to surrender to God, as Jesus did with his Father in the Garden...
In Season 2 Jesus told Z he didn’t need him but wanted him. So it was cool to see Z re-state this in Season 3. Love how they weave the seasons together. The writing is so spot on.
Agreed. BUT some of the characters need to work on their “eating skills.” Mother Mary is particularly fake when she tries to talk to Jesus while eating the Rosh Hashana challah. She over exaggerates her mouth movements without obviously taking any food in.
The scene of Matthew and his family reconciling makes me cry every time I see it. The acting, the meaning, the emotions portrayed, the music. One of my favorite moments from that season.
As someone who has dealt with a birth defect and, then, skeletal problems all my life, I am encouraged by the conversation between Little James and The Messiah. I have cried many tears and prayed many prayers for healing and I know that I will be healed "but it is just a matter of time." Praising the Lord whilst I am on this side of Eternity is my daily mantra.
My parents were such strong believers, such powerful witnesses for the love and POWER of Christ. Yet in her later days Mom developed Alzheimers which almost broke my dad. He prayed for her and had the body of the church lay hands on her and pray for her recovery. Emotionally it almost broke him yet even as he watched her decline, the love of his life for over 50 years, he never lost his love or faith in Jesus. He still continued to belive in and love the Lord. He accepted her decline and cared for her physically until he was unable but in speaking with him then and after her death he said, "I will see her again, without the pain, the confusion of her last days. We will be united in the Kingdom to come."
I thought I would cry at a different scene later in this episode, but I cried when I saw the healing relationship between Matthew and his Parents. Especially when his Dad apologized and hugged Matthew. As for Little James, I wanted to hug and comfort him, even though I can also relate to his situation. I loved how you pointed out the disciple's reactions when they suddenly realize that they have been asked by Jesus to do more than just observe. I have felt this way when I have been asked to fulfill a volunteered position in my Church. I also want to thank you for pointing out the Jesus Christ doesn't need us to do anything, but Wants us to Serve others with Him.
Gentlemen, I am only a little over two minutes into YOUR reaction and you two have me in tears. “What if every family could do this, Sam? “. The power of repentance. Tears flowing
It's such a beautiful thing to hear Mathew's father said, Son, to Mathew. It's emotional and heartfelt. Thank you for the recap.. of this episode. God Bless you all.
Interesting to watch Gaius go back and forth within one conversation, speaking from his heart, and his head. Ending with "Trust your wits, Matthew" shows what he's been trained to do... trust his mind... so to him, this is the best advice he can give to someone he cares about. It's also the reason for the battle going on inside - between his training, and what he's been observing that has moved his heart. Brilliant writing.
Guys. His name is Atticus and he WAS listening; he just lied to Quintus because he wants to stretch out Jesus’ opportunity to run free a while longer so he can see what he’s going to do. He’s personally intrigued, curious, albeit not seemingly yet convicted. Who knows where this character is gonna go? Love your show
@@Jada-vz3ie Go back & watch Episode 1 of Season 3. Pay attention to the short conversation between Atticus & Gaius right after the Sermon on the Mount. He WAS listening
Atticus is a spy and is very much detail oriented. He's sort of mocking the sermon to throw Quintus off for now. He wants to gain more Intel. Where that takes him, we don't yet know.
I so appreciate seeing your reaction to what The Chosen has done in their portrayals. And. When it grabs you emotionally, and you cry. It's worth a million to see men do so. For me. It means your heart is soft toward Yeshua.
Near 5:22, when Atticus is talking to Quintus, you KNOW he is lying to cover for Jesus...and Gaius. He doesn't quite understand Jesus, but he knows something is changed in Gaius, and he's still like a detective. I also loved the pairing up scene, especially when Z realizes that Matthew was a tax collector, lol. But, I've always said that "God sees around the corners of our lives, so it really is best to follow Him. (Not that I'm that good at doing that, mind you) but I truly believe it and know it is True!!
Yes that's the impression I got off what Atticus was doing to when he was talking to Quintus. He was deliberately playing down the powerfulness of the sermon he'd just heard, because he wants to see and hear more of Jesus. He's not where Gaius is yet, but he's a detective and he's Definitely been affected by what's he's seen and heard of Jesus so far. Looking forward to see see what they do with Atticus in the coming seasons. Especially given he has the ear of Pilate. Often wondered why Pilate who is known for being a hard man was so keen to release Jesus and not crucify him, but obviously eventually did agree to him being crucified. Yes, his wife had dreams but still had he been hearing about the teaching and ministry of Jesus before and was curious about him.
Atticus has witnessed a ton - he spoke with a zealot’s brother was healed, that zealot didn’t follow through with a planned murder, he saw that zealot toss his saber… he’s processing
@@cdiddybiddyeyes yeah I heard from the actor possibly in some interview that him constantly being seen too eat in part is a metaphor for the fact that's he's always taking in consuming and processing information wherever he goes and I also seem to remember him saying that it might be a kind of self soothing thing as well. Looking at the portrayal of the disciples as they likely were at this point, like Simon (Peter). Then reading 1 and 2 Peter and hearing the maturity and wisdom and understanding the growth they went through during their journeys just makes me understand more of God's will and the wisdom of their journeys and experiences. It makes me look at my own life, the journeys and struggles and things that have helped me mature in Christ. What a wonderful plan God has!

I am humbled beyond words how HE has saved us. The JOY of our LORD, amazing! God bless you and keep doing the work HE has given you to do. Thank you
Love that we all cry before the screen 😂I guess we feel the home-wanting,missing feeling of more of Him. And those scenes, even if is just a movie, act like seeing a postcard from someone you miss. Truly, cannot wait to see His face one day! Good job guys, keep on!
I was so moved by the words of "Jesus" to "Little James" because I share the same condition as Jordan Walker Ross--that is, scoliosis. I now walk with a walker and people have not looked beyond my disability to see the many talents I have in sharing the gospel with others--until I moved to my present residence and transferred my membership. From the first day, the pastor looked past my walker and saw all the skills and talents I bring to the table for evangelistic purposes and immediately placed me in a leadership position in the evangelism department. Since then, I have also been enlisted by the head of Women's Ministries and the head of prison ministries. Praise the Lord!
I love you guys and your sensitivity. You both bless me every time I see how touched you become by watching the Chosen. Thank you for loving Jesus. I always cry with you. Your hearts give me greater hope for the love we are to reflect from the Holy Spirit! God bless you in amazing ways!
Hi guys. You've been doing the videos more frequently, thank God. I barely made it through the Live Stream for S3 episode 3 Sunday. It was brutal to me. 😭. I'm hoping you will do the next Live REAL soon as there were so many things I did not understand. And hopefully, I will feel better watching with you guys because you tend to make it easier for us with your joy & laughter. This is only S3. 😭🛐❤️.
The Story of Job is one that I constantly refer back to and many of the Holocaust Victims now of course dead or alive did as well. "Why do these horrible things, yet faith is not lost". That is our Love for GOD! That Good will overcome evil, and that evil is judged by GOD!
The scene with Little James was so moving. Dallas Jenkins did an interview with Nick Vujicic, which was wonderful, about why some are not healed - as he has not been healed. Check it out. Very inspirational. Merry Christmas Grafted and all.
Atticus was definitely listening and knew Gaius was impacted by what was spoken by Jesus. I think he was too but carried it better as he too is still processing what was said especially about praying for your enemies. He was lying about what was said to cover up what really happened on the Mount and wanted to protect Jesus and those who came to hear Him speak ... for now at least.
We feel the witness of Truth from the Holy Ghost, the Comforter, the Testator, and it has this Loving effect upon our spirits, our hearts, so much that it causes much Joy Inside our Hearts, that we shed tears of Joy... I want to think that this incredible feeling, this enlarging of our very hearts feels like, is in reality, our Savior's Love... When we meet Him again, we will feel His beautiful, heavenly spirit speaking to our spirit again, as it has always been in Heaven from whence we all came.. God's' Blessings be upon you, Janette Tippetts, and yours... With Love, Dan Franco
I’m new to the channel I’ve been watching the chosen from the beginning it is the greatest story ever told in the most phenomenal way in my personal opinion but I appreciate this channel because you help people understand the meaning of some of these words in these scenes that are depicted in the show and that’s very important and helpful for people like me, who might not understand the depth in what’s actually happening and some of these things so I just wanted to say thank you and please keep it up what you’re doing is very important
I laughed my head off too when he said ".... Always read from right to left, Jewish stuff." That's why I love love love this version of the story of Jesus. So much said that is just like real people. And yes, the bad guys are REALLY REALLY enjoyable to watch, excellently acted.
Amazing guys, the conversation between Jesus and Little James was so touching. You are so right with the scripture that you've read out..... on the part where it says; Focus your mind on the things above and not on earthly things. I also love thispart where the disciples gathered and pray in On of David's Psalms. Blessed Be The Name of Our LORD MESSIAH. SHALOM!!!
I learn so much from your comments and explanations. It's so easy to understand and didactic. It's very strong and delicate the way the Holy Spirit flows through you.
That comment, Simon's temper , comparison between healing a man's mind with anger , and the healing of a man's weakness, growing another limb of a human much easier than removing anger from the mind without destroying the identity of the man , the threshold of decision, convincing a human to change his mind was the point
I am quite sure that Atticus knew that was not what the sermon was about. You can tell by his reaction to Gaius and Gaius' reaction to him that they are not being fully forthcoming. More importantly, they both know that the other is not being forthcoming. Atticus is lying to Quintus, for reasons that are his own. Perhaps curiosity about Jesus generally, or curiosity for why Gaius is being evasive? Honestly, he's essentially a secret agent who doesn't seem to hold Qunitus in particularly high esteem, so maybe he isn't telling him what he knows because he likes being the one with all the secrets. That said, I think that Atticus is being set up as the "surely this was the Son of God" guy at the cross, so it's possible that he's curious about Jesus and wants to see what he will do next. But we will have to wait and see on that.
I love the fact that you both are so in tune with your emotions and have no problem sharing them with us. Your hearts are so pure and humble and your love for the Lord apparent. I watch a lot of the different channels and critiques that are done of this show and yours is by far my favorite!! Thank you for your willingness to be vulnerable with us. I always look forward to your assessment and reaction to each episode. I would love if you watched every minute of each with us but understand why you can't. I wish you Self-Love, peace & Joy!! God bless you both! 🙏❤️
I really appreciate how you (your producers) add the written scripture references where applicable on your videos. I have always wished that in the credits area of each episode The Chosen had a “For more on this episode, see: And then list the areas in the scriptures where a believer or a seeker could easily find the passage(s) upon which the episodes were pulled. In the spirit of “Bible Preach” it would be a lovely addition to the episode credits and DVDs, but I am delighted you all do it when possible to not just the Chosen, but to the comments either of you make. Thank you.
My theory is that Always-Eating Atticus did actually hear what was said, but lied to Quintus because he also takes a personal interest in Jesus’ teachings, and is curious to see where it goes. Especially with *SPOILERS* him watching the Walking on Water scene from the shore, it seems like he has a hidden desire to hear and see more.
I wonder if you have an idea of the impact you have had and continue to have on the world. You amazed me with your story and the bond that you both have is a model for the love we should have for others. I thank God for allowing me to come across this channel and although I haven't gotten you guys live I love your videos. I think I've seen every one. The website is also amazing. Your teaching will last generations as well. You both do God's work. All of you, those who have anything to do with Grafted. Do God's work. God bless you all.
I think Gyias (don’t think I spelled his name right) is playing the sermon down. I think he is also being converted. He is also protecting Jesus and the pilgrims.
I love your reactions, and I think it would be better if we could see Sam's and Tom's shot bigger than the actual show :(... I hope you can change that in the future! Thanks for your hard work and Messianic perspective, it's so enlighting to watch these reactions! God bless!
Look at the way "cohortes" looks over at Gaius when asked about what he heard at the sermon; the 'cohortes' knew Gaius was covering up what was preached and followed suit. The Roman official here, 'cohortes', really DID hear Jesus' words and what was meant by them. I think he was moved to just play-down the reality of the powerful message Jesus preached. He wants to see how it all plays out.
Near the beginning 5:07 Quintus asking Atticus about the sermon: he didn't hear the sermon because he wasn't meant to. Jesus said, not all will hear my sermon. There will be those that will hear the words specifically for them and those who won't hear anything. Atticus is one of the latter "fishes" that will be separated, as Jesus said to Simon.
There is power in repentance, but the real power is in forgiveness! Forgiveness is Agape love. ..... Also, I'm still convinced Gaius will be the Centurion that will say "Surely, This was the Son of God"
I love The Chosen because the scenes that can’t be found in scripture, we can still learn from them (most of them at least). My name is James and I have a mild case of spina bifida and I’m only 5’3”, so when Jesus says “precious little James”, I can’t help but to weep and to worship God.
I love yas reaction. I struggle with turning myself over to the lord even though I feel the Lord pulling me often. I'm glad he still feels I'm worthy of his love and grace.
Bought a Bible and reading it. Husband died of cancer 16 years ago, and the pastor of my husband's church told me to go back to my own church. All of our church friends dumped me. Felt lost, no longer.
Nancy, I am so sorry to hear of this treatment. That is not how believers should act toward one another. I hope you find a church or group of believers who know how to love like Jesus.
Nancy, you have a host of angels surrounding you and lifting you up. You are not alone. The LORD loves you and this will pass the more you find HIM and draw closer in study in HIS Word. The Holy Spirit will lead you in study. Just ask for HIM to lead you and guide you. May Jesus Christ meet all your needs. Now you are to follow HIM without the interference of man or the influences men can have on you. Let the LORD lead you in all things. Many blessings to you. Sister you definitely are not alone. Seek the Truth out in HIS Word.
@nancydreaney4923 -- I am so sorry that this church left you.. No church should ever do that to any person...And why would former friends leave you too??? I thought that only happens to the man in a divorce... Guess I was wrong... Our Father in Heaven, and His Son, Jesus the Christ know you, love you, are concerned about you, and want You to hold on to His Mighty Arm as said in the scriptures, and do not let go...One day, you will meet your sweetheart again, and all will be well...He is not dead, his spirit is as alive as it was when his human body died... You have so much here now and so much more to look forward to...Eternity..... With All of your people, all the way back to Adam and Eve and before that... With Love, Fran Danco..

I think Atticus was playing dumb to keep Quitus off Jesus’ back until he understands more, because he’s very intrigued by Jesus.
that's the impression I got too!
Yep, saw that in a different commenary. He saw Guyas seem to protect the people, atticus saw that n played along.

You two always have the most beautiful reactions ❤️
Ohh my face 😔 melts every time I watch this. So powerful and beautiful
So beautiful ❤️ Thank you dear brothers for your sensitive and honest reaction to the scene between Yeshua and Little James. Aloha from Hawaii 🌺🤗🌹🕊️🔥
12:40 'I don't need you to feel anything...someday you will have it all the time"
Love, love your comments about the Chosen. It helps a lot to understand the Hebrew culture of those times. Thank you for your time!!
The Story of Job is one that I constantly refer back to and many of the Holocaust Victims now of course dead or alive did as well.
"Why do these horrible things, yet faith is not lost".
That is our Love for GOD!
That Good will overcome evil, and that evil is judged by GOD!
I just enjoy your comments and reactions to the show.
Love these birds eye views of the Chosen. Thanks guys!
He was lying about what was said to cover up what really happened on the Mount and wanted to protect Jesus and those who came to hear Him speak ... for now at least.
oh, I think Atticus was being deceptive and covering for Gaius ❤️ he’s enjoying witnessing all this, watching it play out. I love it!
Awesome The Holy Spirit is present even in this part of your sharing Thank you Jesus What a blessing it all is ✝️🕊️
I interpreted Atticus’s comments on the sermon as a way to back up Gaius.
We should all realize the truths taught here and all of us should cry. Cry for repentance, cry for joy.
It s so beautiful to see (feel) you so emotional. Power of repentance, of love, of Jesus..... Thank you both 😊💖
I’m new to the channel I’ve been watching the chosen from the beginning it is the greatest story ever told in the most phenomenal way in my personal opinion but I appreciate this channel because you help people understand the meaning of some of these words in these scenes that are depicted in the show and that’s very important and helpful for people like me, who might not understand the depth in what’s actually happening and some of these things so I just wanted to say thank you and please keep it up what you’re doing is very important
It was fun watching this video. Props on showing your true emotions. Thank you
That comment, Simon's temper , comparison between healing a man's mind with anger , and the healing of a man's weakness, growing another limb of a human much easier than removing anger from the mind without destroying the identity of the man , the threshold of decision, convincing a human to change his mind was the point
Excellent reaction and commentary, as usual. Bless you guys in the coming year!
Ooohhhh just love you guys. So much depth and messianic revelation...and laughs☺️
Always my favorite reactors! Thank you for your videos!
Didn’t Jesus say that very thing to Z when he asked him to follow him? “ I have everything I need, but I want you.”
This video is SOOO encouraging, very grateful for your Biblical insights and honesty. Thank you and a very merry Christmas!😊
I really appreciate how you (your producers) add the written scripture references where applicable on your videos. I have always wished that in the credits area of each episode The Chosen had a “For more on this episode, see:
And then list the areas in the scriptures where a believer or a seeker could easily find the passage(s) upon which the episodes were pulled. In the spirit of “Bible Preach” it would be a lovely addition to the episode credits and DVDs, but I am delighted you all do it when possible to not just the Chosen, but to the comments either of you make. Thank you.
Joining the Grafted class. Just hope I am up to it. LoL
This was one of my favorite scenes. I cry every single time.
I love you guys!!! Thank you for being so genuine!!! 🙏🙏🙏💜💜💜
Love your vids, grateful to donate to The Grafted, and can think of no better tour guides for Israel! So excited about the trip prospects
Do you know how I can find out more about the Israel tour?
Simon Z remembered that Jesus clarified that he didn't NEED Simon but he wanted him.
When he was splitting them up I thought, “So soon?”😬😂
I can't help but think Atticus himself is pondering who this Jesus really is.
THANKS guys. Beautiful
I completely agree about Grafted. So grateful for your channel and your teaching.
I think Gyias (don’t think I spelled his name right) is playing the sermon down. I think he is also being converted. He is also protecting Jesus and the pilgrims.
“To this day, I don’t know why”
I came across your video an I love your reaction to the Chosen I enjoyed watching you guys can't wait for more reactions 🙏
Very powerful scene between the person who portray Jesus and little James . Love it.
I love your reactions, and I think it would be better if we could see Sam's and Tom's shot bigger than the actual show :(... I hope you can change that in the future! Thanks for your hard work and Messianic perspective, it's so enlighting to watch these reactions! God bless!
You are both such a joy to watch. xx❤
I am so glad I found you.
I love how Tom gets emotional!!! I do too❤
This is beautiful when Matthew and his parents do forgive each other and hug each other and then match Matthew was able to thank his mother and father
Well done fellas.
Matthew it's time for NEW CLOTHES
Can't wait to see him on his new clothes 😍 🙏💟
He dropping his hanky and hugging his mother is big as well.
Love you guys! Thank you for your insightful, intelligent, sensitive, and entertaining commentary!
Thanks Tom and Sam love what you bring. Lord bless you 🙏
