I always imagined the illusions Tyr mentions are probably very similar to Kratos dealing with the Furies except Tyr wouldn't have had someone to help him through it I love Brok and Kratos' "Am I good or what?" "Very Good"
not sure Kratos is "so afraid" or "so fearful" is a fair definition of a father who's afraid for his kid and acts conservative when it comes to his safety. Also fantastic job on the combat 👏👏
Týr is 8 FOOT TALL. Between him & Thor, Kratos is gonna get a crick in his neck from looking up at these tall gods 💀 The Norse God of War is such a fascinating character. Ben Prendergast does a really good job. The Bifröst eyes from the Jötnar, & the Egyptian hieroglyphs on his arm. Týr is so much different than the Gods of War Kratos is accustomed to; he’s wise (daresay more so than Odin), diplomatic & peaceful yet there’s an aura of imposing power about him. Centuries of torture at the hands of his own father have clearly taken their toll, but his good nature endures. He united the realms once, visited foreign pantheons in search of peace & enlightenment, & saved what Giants he could from Thor’s slaughter.
@@rainofkhandaq6678Pretty sure the writers changed this to make Kratos somewhere in the 6 foot range. It makes sense because given the game's scaling, if he was still 8 feet, the "dwarves" would be regular human height, which isn't the case.
Seeing spoilers in the comments section is so heartbreaking. Never understand ppl that come to watch a blind play through and then just spoil things. Even small things ppl think are just subtle hints or out of context are spoilers. People if you're new here Kali is extremely observant and perceptive. I can't stop ppl from spoiling unfortunately. I hope Kali has a mod or someone keeping her away from some of these comments. Anyway another great episode, Kali.
Atreus is just being reckless and he thinks he know better That’s why kratos is trying to calm him down I don’t think kratos is fearful he just knows how it is a war against gods
The combat in this game is a little more fast paced so don’t be afraid to turn up the camera sensitivity in order to look around faster in combat. Also most areas you fight in have environmental attacks. Also you can do “Death from above” attacks when jumping gaps or swinging with your blades. It’s a good idea to move around a lot instead of sitting in one spot.
I know some differ on this opinion, but I quite enjoyed the Draugr Hole / Hateful encounters when I played. Maybe I just like fighting Draugr haha. They've always been very satisfying punching bags to hit 🤣 Also, thanks for taking the time to read up on the lore from all the found artifacts! It's so easy to forget they have entries, since 2018's collectibles didn't, but they add so much more color to the world and everything that happened. Odin's level of control and manipulation makes Zeus seem like a small child LOL, trying to rule Olympus with pure power and fear
29:43 you want us to tell you, but you already looked it up lol 😂. But yes that is the Ratchet and Clank series...😁 Speaking of which... Maybe one day if you feel like it you can check out those games, if you're into those kinds. Maybe games like Sypro the Dragon (the reignited trilogy) Or Crash Bandicoot (N.Sane Trilogy) and latest one Crash Bandicoot: it's about time. That's is if you're into action/adventure/platforming. I say this cause these games, the originals of course were my Childhood 😁.
I enjoyed seeing the conflict between Kratos and Atreus about Tyr. Like you said, both made good points. Atreus is very heroic-minded about someone stepping up to end Odin's reign of TYRanny! But Kratos knows war is bound to end in TYRs! ...I'll see myself out.
Oh btw, a small tip, the best way to deal with the tiny wretches is to use your blades by using the blades to attach to them and then pull them towards you in a move not unlike Scorpions “come over here” from Mortal Kombat.
The upcoming episodes are about to get intense now that we found/rescued the God of War. Imagine being imprisoned by god-knows-how-long it was that it started to mess someone's head, even the God of War himself. I'm already looking forward to the next episode and also to see how he'll "Master himself" 😆 GREAT work as always, Ma'am! Also just a heads up, be VERY careful when reading comments because some of it might ruin your experience of this game.
2:43 Atreus trolling Kratos with the cart 17:43 Atreus calling indirectly his father oldman This week as been hard to me, but I guess your gameplays had been a good source of distraction and bring some entertaining even if thigs feel like crap right now, but enough about me. Good video as always, keep going, those little phrases of Atreus make laugh now and then.
1:19:15 Maaan, idk why I just thought about Mimir in that moment and felt bad. 15:00 - "...the water put it out..." --> me, remembering Freya's description of Helheim: "It is a land of unyielding cold. Fires cannot burn there, and no magic in all the nine realms can create a blaze" -- Freya, GOW 2018 Blades of chaos can create a flame that, due to it surviving in Helheim, is somehow superior to any magically conjured flame in all nine realms - yet, seemingly normal water is sufficient to kill its flame? ... makes perfect sense...
First Odin and then Tyr, (arguably Thor as well), this game does some interesting things with subverting expectations. As a god of war, Tyr is a far cry from someone like Ares. He's soft spoken, and that was a really interesting choice.
It's neat that in this game you see Atreus exhibit qualities that Loki of Norse mythology had. Though it isn't outright, it is subtle. Slight manipulations, sneakiness. The game does a good job of putting him into that role but still being distinct.
“I really like to prioritise strength, defense, vitality, luck and runic” yeah no s**t dont we all!! 😂 1. When youre parrying with Dauntless shield, you can do a special high stun bash by double tapping L1. Especially if your shield glows red, that means its at max power! So try it out…all the shields you acquire have a double tap L1 move. 2. I know you said it in this video that youre gear and attachments are a bit bare bones atm, but when you do really try think about youre playstyle and what youre actually using! The darkdale grips arent really helping as you dont do it too often. 3. The stun meter just under enemy health bars is going to be really useful as you go along. This is mainly bosses but once that white stun bar is full up, itll take a chunk of health off them.
A lot of interesting arguments exchanged between father and son, approximately at the mark 1:08:30. As an "old" man myself (like Kratos), I say the difference is between enthusiasm and experience, young and old. Age can change drastically your perspective, the way you act.
“I’m not fight in the war Ragnarok” -god of war And he never fight in wars, he travel around the world to spread peace and friendship That’s why Atreus likes him more than kratos. And we all know what kratos gow used to be😂👍
Notice that you parry a lot of hits, which essentially charges the dauntless shield, but you don't use the follow up attack after. Essentially the same as a shield break but each shield will have a different variation, worth using after a parry
Hey Kali, Amazing and most involved gameplay! Keep rocking🎉 P.S you can use the death from above attack anytime when you’re in air! Makes the gameplay even more fluid!
I am enjoying your play through so much I love how you take your time with everything same as you did and God of war 2018 blades of chaos spinning attack. It will get better and more easier to use, but there’s also a attack when you’re spinning it that one’s better IMO Anyways, can’t wait to see the next episode
Usually a deep voice is associated with a person size. It is the physics of having a larger vocal cord. Or a looser one. Like from someone who yells a lot. Or something that damaged it like from smoking. That's what I find odd about Týr when he started talking given his size. If he was a leader he must of had to do a lot of public speaking which you might expect would deepen his voice. We exhale CO2. Maybe he exhales helium. Though Kratos voice is deep he doesn't talk a lot. But he does grunt a lot.
1:32:33 That's actually the giants theme, it's just instrumental. You can probably recognize it most in the previous game when you visited Jotunheim and during fights in the mountain and around Thamur. Faye's theme is sometimes more a woman humming tune.
Einherjar, another one of my most anticipated enemies in the game. This game has many anticipated enemies and surprised to see bosses in the game, based on my prior knowledge of Norse.
If Odin knows Tyr is alive and didn’t want Atreus finding him, you’d think he wouldn’t have been left alone long enough at this point for you to find him. Odin really dropped the ball.
If you want to upgrade all those stats such as strength defense vitality luck... the absolute best armor to upgrade is the starting one "survival" once upgraded to level 7 I believe all the stats are upgraded... at level 9 you get 68 strength 68 defense and 48 for runic luck vitality and cooldown... most op set for stats... and it's the one that takes the least special items to craft
I finally got to watch this glad to see you enjoying the game. To your comment about Atreus wanting to start a war. What he dreams about that he won’t share with Kratos and figuring out who he is. Is why he’s on this journey. We can’t deny that if Atreus were to tell Kratos what he dreams of that Kratos wouldn’t out right shut it down. For the giants their dreams serve as foretelling of the future. A Callback to Atreus dreaming of Thor showing up to their house and he in fact did. If you remember in 2018 when Kratos cut down the tree with the yellow hand print, he stated that “Faye marked the trees she wanted for her pyre.” And when he got to the top of the chasm he and Baldr caused. He saw that there was an opening in the Forrest where he cut down the trees. That’s how balder got in. We now know those yellow hand prints make up a protection stave. And her marking Kratos cut down those trees instead of trees without the hand print, was Faye’s way of making Kratos start the journey regardless of if he and Atreus were ready. For she had already been marking every step of their journey and saw it all before they took it. Think back the the beginning of Ragnarok when Kratos dreams of Faye and her statement to him. About “A problem doesn’t have to reach our doorstep for it to be our responsibility.” And at the end of that dream she says “time is running out and their is much to do.” The problem is Odin and Atreus wants to act when it comes towards winning ragnarok, regardless of if Kratos wants to pick a fight or not. Odin is doing what’s necessary to win Ragnarok. As a matter of fact he made the first move by coming to Kratos house and offering him a “loaded deal.” Just to then have Thor fight Kratos as free he denies it. Only for us to realize that his real “plan/move” was to speak with Atreus. Kratos objecting to Atreus wishes and shutting them down. Even if he had good reasons will only push him away. For their are things Atreus dreams of that he can’t quite articulate to Kratos. Which is difficult because of Kratos intimidating nature and strictness. Had Kratos been more approachable, Atreus probably wouldn’t of been sneaking off to the shrines and having sindri help watching his back. Strict parents create sneaky children wether they like it or not.
5:03 I really want to make all the Austin Powers puns now. "That's no way to get a-head in life." "It's a shame he wasn't more head strong." "He'll never be the head of a major corporation." "Not a time to lose one's head."
I can't for you to play pt 4 this episode is one of the best episodes so far. I love kaliwali she kind and sweet. My son brought us here for you (Kratos). Odin sent eihenjar to attack because he knows thar kratos and atreus will free tyr. The god of war in these lands.

Have you played all of the Zelda games? Which one is your favorite? Some have given you great playthrough options throughout the comments in the past few weeks. The poem was Ratchet and Clank (shown on the book), great franchise in my opinion.
I haven't played them all but I've played Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Breath of the Wild, and Tears of the Kingdom. I haven't finished Tears of the Kingdom yet! I'm honestly not sure about a true favorite since I love them all in their own ways!
Oh ok. All the good ones (including Wind Water and A Link to the Past)!. The Tears ending is very emotional whenever you have time to return back to the game!
Still have yet to complete watching your Part 2. For a while, i have been curious about the earphone(in red color) you have been using.. Hope you don't mind sharing what it is.
I love them! They're a bit noise cancelling and I've had no gripes with them since I got them. I even preferred them over my inner ear Shure that I used to use hyperx.com/products/hyperx-cloud-gaming-earbuds-ii?variant=43512198561949¤cy=USD&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxqayBhDFARIsAANWRnRnP6EP-754KkQwq_7dug0C2jn1dbnTvRg-mRBeoH-vjgGHskdrfUoaApbCEALw_wcB
Imo the axe is superior and more dynamic to play once you unlock more skills and have the mechanics mastered. Blades are good for groups of enemies and nightmares, and they get more fun once you unlock the "auto-flame-whiplash-after-waiting-a-sec" ability.
For the mashing triangle on the blades, there is a skill later on that, after you do any attack, there will be a small vibration in the controller, and if you press triangle right as you hear it, with either the axe or the blades, they'll immediately frost awaken or charge up flame whiplash!
Hell yes I’m on time piano music is awesome enjoy amazing quest. U R A champion solving puzzles 😮 beautiful one 🥹❤️… tool and bang 💥 is ratchet and clank 😎
Remind me to never let Atreus direct me out my driveway.
LOL right!

Haha yeah.. their banter here is hilarious
1:23:13 I love Atreus's face here😅 so cute and innocent 🤌🏻 and the next dialogue delivery with that face "I know what you stood for"

I even preferred them over my inner ear Shure that I used to use

1:17:03 Why lift up the bar when you can get a little workout in. I mean Kratos didn't get that ripped for no reason.
Once you get the opportunity to go to niflheim go there is only a small thing to do there not like gow 2018 (trust me it won't take you a long time)
Nilfheim in 2018 was a weak section but here it is cool
Please use the blades the axe is so slow. But in the end play as you like
Imo the axe is superior and more dynamic to play once you unlock more skills and have the mechanics mastered.
Blades are good for groups of enemies and nightmares, and they get more fun once you unlock the "auto-flame-whiplash-after-waiting-a-sec" ability.
Well she already used the blades for 4 games lol
For the mashing triangle on the blades, there is a skill later on that, after you do any attack, there will be a small vibration in the controller, and if you press triangle right as you hear it, with either the axe or the blades, they'll immediately frost awaken or charge up flame whiplash!
Btw I see gravestones they mean something don’t know if you can get them now.
