The music during the entire sequence inside the colossus is absolutely phenomenal, my goodness. Really looking forward to the rest of this playthrough!
This game has a lot of good memories for me as it was the first game where I started to want to challenge myself with the difficulty settings to master the game mechanics on more than just a surface level.
This game definitely has lot of quality of life improvements over God of War 2005. The developer once said they ran out of memory on PS2 because it had much so much PS3 generation level stuff.

I'll tell you more about the characters from this game (without spoiling) because in this game they don't tell much about the characters other than their appearance and name. I will specifically talk about the version of characters from mythology and I will only talk about what has already been confirmed in the game in the episode under which I am writing a comment or about what was not mentioned in the game. You are already familiar with Athena and Zeus. Of the new characters we have the Colossus of Rhodes and Gaia. The Colossus of Rhodes is a statue of Helios (the sun god) it was one of the 7 wonders of the world until it was destroyed by an earthquake. Gaia is the goddess of the earth or the earth itself. She is the mother of most of the titans if not all (I'm not sure ) She was also married to Uranus, who threw deformed children into Tartarus (the abyss located under Hades, serving as a prison). Gaia did not like Uranus’s attitude towards their children. and she told the Titans to rebel against Uranus to breed their children. the youngest one Kronus killed Uranus (but he did not free the children) (and this all is not a spoiler; this is not mentioned in the game as far as I know) this story has a continuation, but there will be spoilers for the game further, so I will tell you the continuation later when you get to a certain moment
It's great seeing you play these classics, you're really good! GOW2 is when they established the canon look for the characters for the rest of the franchise, so that's why Zeus and Hades would look and sound different from the first game

I was convinced that I sucked and stopped because I wanted to play 'Horizon Zero Dawn'. I was a hero in that, so I've just started back with GoW. Let's see if I can do a little better... After just having to deal with your ME finale (which was awesome and also canon to the ME base) now I'm going to see how you deal with this hot mess that is GoW. Fuckin' awesome! The Colossus fight reminded me of the human embryo Reaper in ME2! Perhaps what it would've been like if that Reaper had been completed I've never played these games, but this looked brutal and the story seems fascinating too!
Omg I couldn't even imagine what the fight would have been like if the human reaper was actually completed for that fight 😱🔥 It probably would have gone veeeeery different lol
@@kaliwali Haha yeah, Shepard would've needed to recruit Krathos to take it down 😆 Though I imagine Kasumi could've jumped on it like a ninja and dealt some damage in a similar way, like she did on Donovan Hock's ship 😅
The first game deserves props for launching the franchise but it definitely aged worse than the rest of them. GOW 3 has the best graphics of this trilogy. This one is my favorite because they brought the combat close to perfection, the scope of the game got bigger and holy crap the music goes hard.
I'll be reacting to ghost of sparta after GoW 3 since that's the time it came out in on release date! I love watching the progression of graphics & development in a game so that's why I decided to play them this way mainly lol

I love the idea and roles that you put into your Shepards! I used to do this with New World characters lol. Not quite as great with the role play tho.

there are other reasons why Kratos is so angry at the start of this game. you know about it more in Gow ghost of Sparta.
