Devo is one of the most misunderstood bands of all time. Most common people just think of "Whip it" and that's all they think when you say Devo- others who know the band and have dove deep into their discography know Devo is multi-dimensional, complex, extremely talented, wholly different, absolutely themselves and a totally original act never to be copied but duplicated and stolen from over and over again. Truly so far ahead of their time, even now in 2024- the world STILL hasn't caught up and it may never. I don't throw the term "musical geniuses" around lightly, but Devo is fitting of the term and title. True masters of crafting music that makes you feel, move, and most importantly- THINK.
It's so addictively cathartic. I can only imagine coming to this show expecting it all to just be silly and then entering this funhouse mirrored image of feeling this painfully incongruent within our exponentially changing society.
That's something on the edge of genius and insanity. So many years have been passed Devo stil unique and uncopied by anyone. Dozens of punk/rock bands trying to act like Devo but noone even close to Devo geniality. Pure genius and unique sound make them the one and only.

It gives me _Resident Evil_ vibes, which I LOVE. So... I LOVE IT!!! And of course, _Crash Bandicoot_ for obvious reasons, though there are Devo songs way more similar for CB. Amazing Devo! Thank you!
