I think this goes without saying but sliding a BRZ is alot different than sliding a Mustang that weighs half a ton more and has twice the power, be careful.

Because most people in real life like the mustang because it's a mustang. They don't care too much about the engineering/spec side of things. Just like people see a old NSX and think it's a Ferrari.. Because of the looks and reputation.

Looks like you made the right choice congrats. Lesson learned on the ecoboost and your warranty situation, no big deal dont beat yourself up about it. Keep up the videos.
One upgrade I'd highly recommend from the performance pack is the upper k-brace and strut tower brace (there's a Ford racing kit with both). It's less than $200 and the difference in response and turn-in is quite surprising. The PP rear dampers also hugely improve aggressive launch performance and are cheap and easy to install.

+CareerFireman Correct ;thus, it sucks in my opinion. If he wants guard green that is his choice, but for my money it wouldn't be an option. Thankfully Ford is discontinuing this color. It is not a horrible color, but definitely not a nice color. The color and the car in general would look better with black wheels.

I have 235s front and back on my 08 GT and they hold really well but i imagine with over 400 hp, they suck lol.

+2016STIchannel Suburus have great resale value especially on north. American muscles? horrible because they make tons sell tons and so many leftovers at dealership. Highends are different story like Gt350. I wonder how much he lost with trade in of ecoboost. Im guessing around 10k
What does he care? The viewers paid for the depreciation when he had his fund raiser. If I had given this 'poor soul' money to buy that Ecoboost I'd be pissed. Then again, if I were dumb enough to give money to someone just so they could buy a new car I'd probably also be so dumb that I'd never even think about the fact that he just pissed all that money away.
In Australia we can't get the Mustang fast enough. There's 12 months backlog on orders and deliveries started last December. The price for a manual Ecoboost fastback is just over AUD$50k on the road. Take note we get the performance pack standard, because we don't need all season tyres for our climate, only "summer" tyres. But there's new cars and low km used cars - the few advertised on a major car sale website - for either sticker price or as much as $15k higher (so people don't have to wait. Whether people will pay that high a premium is another matter. There's nothing on the used market - which is no surprise. I'm hoping to pick one up in 3 or 4 years hopefully for $25k used. But if demand remains high and people hold onto them, it may scuttle my plans. Hopefully a few people upgrade from the Ecoboost to the GT in the major refresh in a couple of years and put their 2016/2017 Ecoboosts on the market.
The closest Ford to the Mustang in our market is the Falcon XR6 Turbo. Large 4 door Sedan, 4 litre 6 cyl turbo and looking at 2012/2013 examples, there's a few between $25k-$30k for what was similarly priced to the EB Mustang new. I think the Mustang will hold value more than the above example with the Falcon. Which makes my goal difficult for 2020.

And on a side, I would do a flush on everything just to be sure, because fluids do break down over time, even if not being used. Goodluck on the new car man, waiting for more videos with this car !!!

The brakes are the biggest part of the performance package. You skirted that... the value of getting those brakes is undeniable.

the induction sound resonator has a foam plug at the firewall. lots of people remove that foam plug to get more of engine sound inside the cabin, you should look into that.
I used to hate this color when I saw it in your videos, but videos don't do it justice. Once I saw it in person I was in love. Guard Green is awesome

You mentioned the GAP insurance did you get it through the dealership or your insurance company? The reason why I am mentioning this is that it is cheaper to get it through your insurance company.

IE TJ talks about drifting on all his video but we know he dont track or knows how to drive. Plus he gets crappy parts for free and promote them on his vid. He just got front wide fenders free (no rear). Wide on front and thin on rear.....

+Park Dorky TJ is still building his car....he hasn't had any crappy parts on his cars. they're all fine parts nothing wrong with them at all. Matt doesn't have to track especially if he uses his car as a daily and wants to make sure it stays reliable.
I cant really cant imagine it was worth it to get ride of the ecoboost you had for such a short time. You're eating roll over debt. I sold cars for a living for awhile and if you'd come to me wanting to do this I'd of really wanted to talk you out of it even though i'd be making bank on the situation. Its just not a very economical choice on your part.
Again, it's idiotic to assume his financial situation but if it means he's finally happy with his car, debt can sometimes be worth it

It was not a financial decision. It was an emotional decision, which has a price. And he seems to be happy, so it might be a good decision.
If theres one piece of advice that I can say about buying a car and car sales. Leave your emotions at home. We are trained to sale based on emotion and attachment. Once you're emotionally attached to that car you're gonna be making stupid choices. Especially once you're approved. Its normally game over at that point for you. Buying a car isnt a big deal or a large event, but you need to come in, know your budget, know what you want, know why you want it and know if its realistic.
Total side note the one I always loved the most is "I need a second car has this one gets awful gas mileage and isnt practical" So ridiculous on monitary level. If you buy a second car and its saving you $200 a month on gas as thats realistically the most any car would save you you're still losing out big time. More insurance, a new car payment, yearly taxes, registrations and inspections. The best way to save money is pay your car off and keep it well maintained.
I drive my evo everyday as a daily driver and its totally affordable when you've got no car payment and cheap insurance. Its most cost effective than a prius with a monthly payment. Just food for thought.
I have a 2017 mustang gt and I really like the way it is. I really enjoy it. I may do some mods on the exhaust but for now I really like the exhaust. This car has plenty of power for me and it really is great for long distance travel. the bucket seats are great if you have a bad back. the safety features are fantastic also. I am 6'3" and I fit in the driver's seat just fine. all in all a good all around muscle car.

This is exactly how most Americans manage their finance... I too was once like this kid, all I could think about was getting the next, latest greatest toy. Eventually I learned that there is always someone with something better. Every year the factories will produce something that makes you wish you had waited and bought it. If you spend your money faster than you make it you'll end up in debt over your head and a slave to your bills. I've been debt free for 13 years. My '03 350Z makes me very happy and I owe no one a dime. It's a much better way to live.

Not all of Americans. I drive a honda Fit and i make 35 and hour in oil and gas. saving and waiting until i can truely afford a fun car. cash is the way i went with the fit and it'll be the same when i upgrade

Yep the Camaro is faster handles better, better equipped, even lighter now, and has better interior. I have always loved mustangs but camaro is winning with this new gen, actually killing the mustang. And I own a 2014 mustang

Awesome stuff Matt, I'm glad you finally have a GT that you can have fun with and not worry about reliability. It's nice just being able to drive a car that is reliable, My 16 year old civic is pretty damn slow but I redline that thing all day and it doesn't complain. I'd rather drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. I love those foundry wheels, gives it a nice classic look! I look forward to the first redline video! Also I think you should do a reaction video with your wife when you do your first redline run, that'd be funny!

Yes, technically the bank owns it.. but realistically no ones plays by that rule.. he drives it, hes does whatever he wants with it, he pays for it.. With your logic, your cell phone you just bought, isn't yours since you still pay for it each month. -_-

+NightVayne It depends. With a contract yes you pay for the phone and service. Prepaid phones you buy the phone upfront and only pay for the service. So technically he does own the phone but not the service if its prepaid.
I was referring to the contract ones where you only put a downpayment but you keep paying for the service and the phone itself. Dont mind me, Im living in the banks house.

Congrats on your gt! I test drove a new focus st and loved it. I'm debating between that and used mustang gt.
Pro tip.... Get some 1" wheel spacers. Makes the car look much more aggressive with those foundry wheels and really completes the look in my opinion. Did this to my guard 15 V6 and really changed the look of the car.

I love the pony projection light and all of the other cool features that you mentioned.
Also, as far as exhaust, if you want a completely livable exhaust that has no drone, won't upset anyone, and is audible (just) with the windows up, do a resonator delete. I started with that. It has some bark and is very nice with the windows down, but sounds just like stock when you're not driving hard. I went with an X pipe, but would probably do an H if I had to do it again. The stock mufflers are a little bit tinny sounding, and the H has less rasp.

Just wanted to let you know that i just received delivery of my 2016 Mustang GT... It had 13K on it and it has the exact same wheels you have..i am not a fan of the other stock GT Mustang wheels....Mine is a Silver and it looks and drives awesome....I can see why you love your Car...Thanks for sharing...
Exactly Matt. I've got a 2007 Mustang GT. And I wish it would be a little bit more squirrelly when I jump on it. Sure there is a slight step out of the rear end on jumping on it from a dead stop...but not the fun of like.
