This is how you separate from standard youtuber to pro tuber. Thank you for being detail to attention and sharing this critical info regarding the seat. You gathered this concise info for all low rider s owners n i appreciate you Sir. I am ready to order one now and say good bye to my SM step up seat. 😢😊
Finally. Someone with some common sense makes a video that actually gives the rider a measurable reference. Pun intended. But seriously, the rest of the videos are all about “look how cool this stitching is.” Thanks for the video. Please make more
Turn the saddlemen rubber washer over that your seat sets on its gloss black matches your Fender to a T I did the same thing to my bike the bottom flat black it's got your name on it the top is gloss black good luck and have a blessed day
Hey mate....thanks for the review. Do you feel that the seat pushed you forward. I'm about the same height as you and I feel that I need to sit about an inch or so forward on Sportglide. This seat looks like it could be everything that I'm looking for.
Okay, it appears that I was mistaken about the pin that in the lumbar support. It's actually to keep the seat from pushing in although I can't imagine anyone wanting it to stick out that far.
After a year I still like the seat. I love the way it fits the bike and how it compliments the lines and style of my bike. I don't care for the gripper material, but it does keep my travel bag from sliding around on the pillion.
The air cleaner I'm using is the Harley extreme ventilator. In combination with Harley's smart tune pro auto tuner I have no complaints. my 131 runs like a champ without any problems
It feels like I am sitting slightly more forward. Because of the shape of the seat and the density of the foam it doesn't give much under my weight and I am 270.
The SDC Pro Series seat is sort of a best of both worlds seat- not as aggressive lines as the Step Up and not as bulky as the Explorer- it's for sure one of our most popular seats. Thanks for the review Charley
I don't like it at all. It applies an annoying amount of pressure to the area where my belt runs across my low back / hips. I took it out and put it on the shelf.
@@ruudvandereik1572 The Explorer might be a better option, But I don't know , I've never had one. I like to seat I have and I never carry passengers on my bike.

Thank you, I appreciate that!
This is the Exact thing left out of most seat videos. Appreciate you doing this.
You figure out the backrest pin was for height adjustment.
Good review , really useful to actually see the measurements and how it will affect the overall position.👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you.
This is exactly the kind of video I've been looking for.

Hey fxbro I am also in KC and bought the sdc pro saddleman step up seat. Thanks for the info!
Great review and thanks to all your work, comparison specs finally shown :)
Great to have the excellent measurement reference points!
I hope you found them helpful.
You just sold me on that seat. Thanks for sharing Charley? When will you share the 131 story?
Are you talking about a video about why I decided to upgrade to the 131?
@@charleyrider9775 yes :)
@@charleyrider9775 yes please tell that story in a vid 👍

Great video. How’s the seat now can you do a long term review please

Very helpful thank you
You're welcome

Just got one for my 23
Good reference😊
Great video ..... well its been over a year now .... and what do you think of the seat .... cheer's Chris

Awesome video, thanks!
Any updates on the seat heighth after some time?
Great video. What air cleaner is that? you like it?

@@charleyrider9775 that’s great! Do you still like that little lumbar piece on the seat? Doesn’t look dorky?
Thanks for the measurement, I'm curious how different did the seating position feel to you?
It feels like I am sitting slightly more forward. Because of the shape of the seat and the density of the foam it doesn't give much under my weight and I am 270.
@@charleyrider9775 If you removed the backrest would the seating position be identical to the regular saddleman pro?
@@wb4514 I believe it is.
@@charleyrider9775 Thank you sir.
its not compatible with my 2022 softail heritage, what do you think the difference is? Monoshock resivior adjuster?
The rear fender is wider to accommodate the 30 mm wider tire, which changes the profile of the fender and would not allow the seat to fit properly.
I ordered this one for my fxlrs as well. Looks really comfortable seats. But isn’t it little bit to clumsy? Not as slim like another saddleman seats
The SDC Pro Series seat is sort of a best of both worlds seat- not as aggressive lines as the Step Up and not as bulky as the Explorer- it's for sure one of our most popular seats. Thanks for the review Charley
It is a bit chunky, but I wanted a seat that is more supportive that won't breakdown or get soft and uncomfortable like other similar seats do.
@@saddlemenusa you're welcome.
What exhaust pipe is that? Vance and Hines?
Yez, Pro-pipe.
How do you like the backrest?
I don't like it at all. It applies an annoying amount of pressure to the area where my belt runs across my low back / hips. I took it out and put it on the shelf.
Is this a bad seat for short people? I am 5'4 and can reach the ground for the most part with stock seat
Well, I'm only 5'6" and have a 28" inseam. I noticed a slight difference in seat height, but I can still get both feet flat on the ground comfortably.
How’s the seat for the passenger?
I don't know, I've never had a passenger on that bike.
Hello, is this worth the additional cost Sdc pro with and without back support?
Ruud
I find the little back support to be annoying. However I really like the way the curve of the seat and the wall support my hips and low back.
@@charleyrider9775 But isn't the explorer a better option?
