Hey Jon, thanks for info. I just bought the new softail standard and am getting ready to put the stock solo seat in my front yard with a " Free" sign on it! I have never rode such an uncomfortable seat ever! Im looking at the saddlemen step up. I havent seen any videos regarding the San Diego seat. Im certain ill go with the regular saddlemen, but seeing two comparisons is very helpful in regards to my situation. Thanks for putting another you tube for me to subscribe to. As always, ride safe!
I have a soft tail standard too and the Saddlemen step up is not for me. I'm trying to find a comfortable seat with backrest. What did you end up with?
I bought the Corbin Wall seat. It positioned me way to far back for my liking so I traded it for a tattoo...lol...After watching your video and a few others I ordered this seat today for my Dyna S. Thanks for the thorough review it was very helpful.
Great review. I want to get the SDC for comfort and looks. But I was hoping it would sit me back further with the rounded profile then the step up. I'm 6" so I've been considering the whiplash slipstream
I know it’s been a while, but would you say the SDC sits you forward and up more so than the step up? Trying to rethink my seating position on my 2017 street hob
I had the step up on my Sport Glide this year with gripper stuff for sure. What is the distance of both seats front to lumbar? Saddlemen site says 1,5inch longer for the SDC??
Sdc looks just like the LD definitely pushes you up a bit but yeah if you get your hands on one I'd like to know what you think. Then I will subscribe lol
like your review, curious what fairing is that? I was thinking of the explorer seat for long rides but your review got me thing plus you're about my body build.
Great video man. ive been looking at both and still not too sure which one ill be getting!

fantastic overview. really appreciate that you discussed the seating position of the two.
Thanks for the review, handy having the input of a guy over 6ft for us taller riders.
Thanks for the review and comparison Jon. Well done
My sdc is killing my groin. Seat is much wider in crotch area.
Can anything me done to help.
? Mold plastic, shave foam?
Help

Thanks for the review buddy. Very helpful to have the imput of a 6.1 guy.
No problem 👍
best SDC saddleman review on youtube, just ordered mine today, Thanks Jon.
Wow, thanks!

Yeah man sweet bike you got! You’ll like the SDC

I like the "scoop" design - it looks super comfortable vs the "step" of the other one
Good stuff, saving up for the san diego. Putting in an order soon, take care.
Great review on the two very seats I was thinking of buying!! This helped me make the perfect choice and ordered the SDC seat! Ty
Thanks dude! The SDC is the way to go.
You can get gripper seat on the stepup also.

Good review man, you helped me pick a seat👍
Glad to hear it!
I ordered the SDC version after watching your video. I'm 5'4" and think the seating position will favor my small stature. Great review- thanks!
For sure!!

Outstanding video, new subscriber earned.
Thank you!
Where did you get the plate on the fenter
I appreciate the review! Do you think the imzze elite fairing will block more wind than a Memphis shades road warrior? Thanks!
I'm not sure which one would block more wind, however the Imzz Elite fairing looks cooler in my opinion
Why didn’t you try the Lucky Dave’s instead of the sdc?
I like the San Diego customs seat better

It's a Conelys USA fairing. They're out of business unfortunately, but IMZZElite makes a great fairing, as well as JD Customs.
Im 6'5 what would be best for someone with my height?
I am only 5'4 would my feet be able to touch the ground? Some say these seats reduce ground clearance.
Maybe by an inch or so, it’s not super significant how much it raises you up.
@@JonsMotorcycles is this in both seats?
I have a stock 2014 low rider should I wait to get a saddlemen to start ordering bars and risers or do you think it shouldn’t matter too much?
The difference in the seat is probably about an inch in height, you could do either one first and not see a huge difference.
How tall are you? How do you feel
With the mids and the sdc saddle?
I'm 6'1 and the bike is pretty comfortable. I'd probably add highway pegs for longer rides.
Great review!
Thank you!
Nice review!!!!!
Thanks!
Good shit dude keep it up
Thanks!
