-Gun sounds are very MW3. Some are good like the Vepr in my opinion. -The reloads are really well-animated, in my opinion. My favourite reloads has to be the Magnum, Honey Badger, AK12 and the R5.(With the SoH perk, some guns can perform different reload animations, similar to MW2019.) -The gun textures are ok.

Der Kaiser Wilhelm II It’s beyond pathetic at range, and Ghosts has a lot of mid-long range fighting. Bad damage per shot and recoil super heavy. Up close, it’s not much better than the SMGs and the FAD beats it.
The game was just really quite dull. People at the time were getting very tired of Call of Duty, and Ghosts was seen as being too similar to its predecessors.
This was the first CoD that I actually followed news of up until release. Seeing that Eminem music video and multiplayer trailer was the most hype I think any CoD has ever gotten. I love this game to bits, even if I only I started playing this one year after launch

I appreciate this CoD for featuring the P226. Its one of the most popular pistols in the world and is extensively used by many armed forces, but only got featured in Ghosts and never again (so far).
the 226 is definitely not that popular lol, there's only a few countries that use it as a service pistol and the rest have them in inventory for either special police units or special forces
One thing I only notice now is how the character tries to control the recoil when you unload a full clip non stop, the recoil looks like it’s getting harder and harder to handle and the gun shakes increasingly violently when hip firing. Such a cool detail, this was such a good cod, it was hated on too much and the innovative concepts that they brought back then were never appreciated enough.
This game is similar to what Cold War is now, not a true next gen leap. Ghosts was decent but definitely wasn’t cutting edge compared to its competitors at the time.
Beside MW2019, Ghosts had the most realistic recoil. It felt natural, it didn’t feel like it was programmed which every other cod game apart from MW2019 did

Ghosts was one of those “prototype” games the way I see it, LOVE the game but can’t help but notice how some of the mechanics and unique weapon variations and attachments you see in recent COD’s all go back to this game, Ghosts. Examples: -Unique Weapons (the thing I truly loved about this game which I why I’m here I mean cmon you’re never gonna see a gun like the SC-2010 or the Vepr or even the Bullfrog again) -Muzzles -Intergrated Attachments -ALIENS -Completely balanced and great perk system -Rorke Files from the single player mode that gives you actual intel and info instead of some cheats you can use in the game I just can’t help but hate the way h the ey completely BUTCHERED the Vector in this game, how could you screw up the one thing that makes the weapon unique with its fire rate and no one can say Im wrong
Oddly enough I love the reload of the SA-805, it just feels so smooth and satisfying. This game may frustrate me sometimes but I must admit the weapons and reloads are damn cool looking
Tbh I liked this map. It was definitely too big for constant action, but longer ranged fights, or cutting people off near the castle made for some good 1 on 1 gunfights.
Fun fact: The VKS is created by the same Russian manufacturer that made the ASH-12 bullpup battle rifle & RSh-12 revolver. Which is why the ODEN in Modern warfare can be converted into the VKS in the gunsmith with the colossus suppressor & sniper scope. But those 2 weapons in real life can't be converted like in the gunsmith yet they're chambered in 12.7x55mm STs-130.
Say what you want about this particular game, but one thing of note is how smooth the reload animations are, without all the obnoxious screen shake as seen in Modern Warfare.

SA-805, Honey Badger and SC-2010 have special reload animations with slengh of hand perk equipped. Also Bulldog shotgun has a special reload animation for its barrel attachments.
I still believe to this day that Ghosts has the best roster of guns of any CoD. There was such great variety and many of them felt so unique, catering to all playstyles. MW2(2009) still has the best shotguns but as an overall package Ghosts really nailed it.
There might be better nitpicks, but it’s the FAL and I’m biased. I thought I say the mag release clicking on the SC2010 when the character put the mag in, and I though “oh, nice detail”. Then I realized it’s the bolt release instead. Ouch.
You know how they have the Master Chef collection? Imagine a COD Multiplayer collection, with every game's multi-player/zombies or special ops mode. I'd go as far as to say I'd drop a $100 on something like that. Just scrub up and renew the servers and BOOM instant fun.
I love how when reloading the FP6, your character actually has exactly how many shells needed to reload in his/her hand. I don't know of any other FPS that's done that. 2:50

Modern warfare is the downfall of cod. The new Cold War feels like a cartoon and without the four original voice actors for our beloved zombies crew, that takes away from the game as well. Even the original voice actors for woods and Mason are gone. Cod was in its prime during the old days, but now it’s trying to be “realistic” even though it’ll never compare to the realism of say insurgency sandstorm, or even rainbow six siege. If I said that ghosts is better than the new mw or Cold War, people would come at me, but at the same time know that it is true
Man I swear, something about this game's gun sounds... most COD games have 'okay'-ish gun sounds, but MAN... every single gun in this game just sounds so punchy! This is like the only COD game I've played where I enjoyed using every weapon, because every weapon felt so powerful to use, literally only because of the amazing, punchy sounds they made! (that, and the high ttk lol)

Incorrect: The Galil Ace in 7.62x39mm doesn't have a last round hold open because it uses AK mags. The AK magazine doesn't have that capability.

@@athonkinguser6700 cod was never meant to be realistic, or with the latest modern warfare “wannabe realistic.” While it is nice for cod to have good graphics, and nice small details, gameplay mechanics should have never been changed. Modern warfare is the downfall of cod. The new Cold War feels like a cartoon and without the four original voice actors for our beloved zombies crew, that takes away from the game as well. Even the original voice actors for woods and Mason are gone. Cod was in its prime during the old days, but now it’s trying to be “realistic” even though it’ll never compare to the realism of say insurgency sandstorm, or even rainbow six siege. If I said that ghosts is better than the new mw or Cold War, people would come at me, but at the same time know that it is true
Man I swear, something about this game's gun sounds... most COD games have 'okay'-ish gun sounds, but MAN... every single gun in this game just sounds so punchy! This is like the only COD game I've played where I enjoyed using every weapon, because every weapon felt so powerful to use, literally only because of the amazing, punchy sounds they made! (that, and the high ttk lol)
Cod ghosts had hands down one of the best weapons

Everyone used to hate on this game back then. In the end, I think the game was Great, the story was good and the weapons were cool. The only problem was that the maps were too big for the online for the most part
