@Uncle Jessy is the z alignment issue fixed on that version? the original had a spring washer in the stepper that lead to really squished initial layers, so it was impossible to print dimensionally accurate parts that sit directly on the build plate. basically when the build page went into the resin for the first layers the pressure of the resin compressed the spring washer and so the first few layers are thinner and wider. I fixed it on mine with two easy fdm printed parts.

The holder/tilter came from Thingiverse originally. They asked the designer if they could use it (like they're supposed to, but unfortunately is not yet common) and even offered to put their name on it.

What is that green liquid you used to clean the prints?
Anxiously awaiting reviews of the Mars 10.1 that is expected to be released 1st quarter 2020. I understand they're having some teething issues with the LCD, but under $600 with a build volume almost 6 times the size is going to be a game changer.

I need advice. I recently got the Mars 2. I loaded an STL file on the included USB stick and the printer won't recognize it. So I tried loading the same file but as CTB format and same result. The only thing it seems to want to print in the test pair of Rooks.
What am I doing wrong!?

Wondering if you could help me. I just got one of these but the Pro version from MMF but it came in defective and I have been trying to contact MMF support to get a replacement but they just don't get back to me. Any suggestions on how to get e new printer from them?

how well does the green tint block outside ultraviolet light you think? Is that just a gimmick (albeit a cool one!) or will it work as well as the orange one?
The color doesn't matter too much. It's more about the material. Most plastics and glass completely block out UV light. You have to get very special glass or additives in plastic for applications that you want to transmit UV light (like in UV lamps, tanning machines, sterilization , etc). Since the cover is made from the same plastic (probably acrylic) it should do as good a job as the original cover.
I thought the Pro was being released this month for some reason .....once I heard it wasn't and not til next year. I ordered the Limited Edition version hoping it would be even a little bit more up to date than the standard versions and it looks like I made the right choice. Now if it would only get here, I have resin and no printer!!

get a pair of God Hand Nippers or Gundam Planet Nippers. super sharp, very clean cuts.

PM 2.5 is the smallest size of the particles it can absorb. I have no idea if it's enough or good though. Keep dropping that weight!

Those are only dust masks. Great to use when sanding. The may help you feel you are not breathing the resin smell in while printing. You would actually need to use a cartridge style respirator like they use in automotive painting to effectively filter anything more than dust. If you are going to use a disposable type respirator you should at least be using an N95 which filters o.3 microns as opposed to 2.5 microns.
How has delivery for printers been from MyMiniFactory lately? I was disappointed to get teased by ordering this last week, getting a UPS notice, and a few days ago only received the resin >.< I've tried contacting them for an update on the actual printer's shipping, but nothing so far. I'm not miffed at the purchase overall, but wish they would just give me an idea.

hmmm my Limited Edition came with a white FDM printed build plate holder. I feel short changed! The black one looks way nicer.
Did yours include the upgraded build plate as well? I ran into someone else who purchased this printer via the Elegoo Facebook group and he indicated he'd gotten pretty much a bone stock Mars with the standard/grub screw build plate and the white 3D printed build plate holder... I'm wondering if someone at MMF cherry picked the sample that Jessy was sent, and the build plate enhancement may not reflect what others will get when they order the SE model.
@@TheYuppiejr yeah I got the one with the grub screws. I may email MMF and ask why his is different see what they say. I'm not really bothered as it's my first SLA printer so it's all cool. I'll probably just replace the grub screws myself.

I think the reason the cover has no seams is it could be injection molded or vacuum formed.
I was wondering that as well while editing... I also have zero idea how any of that works ;)
@@UncleJessy I got confirmation from Angus of Maker's Muse that the top cover of the Elegoo Mars LE is injection molded.

I have one major issue........ The green filter. Isnt going to be great at taking UV out of the environment... Orange filters are far better suited for UV. The reason why i know this? What two colours make green? One of them is blue.... So blue including near UV blue gets through. This will slowly cure resin in the vat.

@@sintoxic No I looked on the website as the comment threw me, IMO it is definitely a transitioned blue colour unless I have some kind of colour blindness LOL, while I was writing this I got an email from my mini factory trying to sell me one of these and the Logo and text is definitely blue
@@AndrewAHayes no, I just checked the website, it's definitely a greenish color. Maybe not a solid green, but the same is true with the lid.
Just adding another “it’s green” comment. My Mini Factory’s colour is almost a mint / aqua light green colour. Definitely not a blue. Congratulations you might have just learned that you may be slightly colour blind OR you just learned the importance of having your screens properly colour corrected. Either one. :)
@@chorneyk No I have realised the colours on my tablet are not correct, rechecked on my phone and laptop and they are a greenish colour
That sort of mask is pointless apart for stopping you from putting goo in your mouth. If you actually want a mask that works, you need something like a Draeger with suitable filters.

i wonder why all resin printers "test" are so bullshit... Where is the tolerence for IRL things like bolt + nuts ? What is the main resistance of a simple mecanical part ? What is minimum hole size ? What is minimum wall thickness ? What is this, what is that ? Not wanna buy a printer like that and realize after two dayz it's totally trash.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER, ELEGOO DOES NOT SELL REPLACEMENT THE 6.08 INCH LCD SCREEN ... WHEN THE SCREEN IS DAMAGED THE PRINTER WILL NOT BE USEFUL FOR ANYTHING ... TO THE GARBAGE. THANKS
