Thank you so much for this. I built this yesterday with only 3 levels as I was running out of materials to build more. With 3 levels I was still able to produce about 3-4 stacks of gunpowder per hour of AFKing (i was stationed about 25 blocks straight out from the chest). I also built this about 40 blocks above the cold ocean and at least 80 blocks from any land. I have my simulation Distance set to 6 and no issues with the drop rates.
Just spent like 5+ hours building this and dying (a lot Lol) but can confirm that this 100% works as advertised. I have a lot of land that I need to clear out for a town I’m building so big ups to you this should save me a lot of time. Liked and subscribed. Cheers🎉
Guys, i made so many creeper farms and finally found the perfect one, everything what he does do exactly the same, and you dont need 5+ layers. 3 layers is already enough so you dont need to farm alot, believe me 3 is enough but if you want more you do 5+ layers.
To anybody who's having trouble with creeper spawns try building the farm 100-200 blocks in the air depending on your simulation distance, since if it's too low to the ground mobs can still spawn in caves underwater. This worked for me
See I was sceptical about doing this farm because the comments saying how it doesn’t work or the rates are quite slow, But I had just completed Blazes Enderman farm and that works like a charm, this farm is in line with that one. Build 100 blocks above your ocean level, I did 10 layers, And a massive leaf roof so things could spawn during the day. Definitely give this one a go

Ah finally... so much effort, finally done, the rates from the video seem incredible... And nothing is spawning... 20 seconds, a glimpse of green yet no gunpowder in the chest. All hoppers are linked, yet nothing. Edit: wow, a creeper spawns every 2 minutes. this was definitely more useful than building an enderman farm. Edit 2: Done a test, I get 0 gunpowder in 5 minutes
@@BlazedMCs You don't need to be good at editing to fake creeper spawns, spawn eggs and command blocks exist. The game is in hard mode. Restarting the game does nothing.

@@geekinfamous3860 Chances are he screwed up the design, as mobs underground can harm the rates to 1 creeper every 5 minutes, having it built higher would be smarter.

Can confirm this works Just built this On my main survival Realm Build over the ocean about a 150 to 200 blocked high for best spawn results. Unlimited fireworks for me.
Built this on Java, got shit loads of spiders and thought I fucked up, but then I changed all the buttons to carpets, I built the farm about 100-150 blocks up in the air above an ocean, if you’re having issues with this farm just build it up really high over an ocean, also use looting 3, I get about a stack of gun powder every 3 minutes or so
how much gun powder does 1 layer give? because i built one layer and i want to know when i should expand it because im also using a auto crafter and sugar cane farm to make rockets
Sooo I built this on a realm above an ocean in a mesa biome near my spider farm. It doesn’t spawn anything at all. I fallowed the guide to the letter but it still doesn’t work.

I would also make a rail around it to afk in because since you moving it can make the creepers spawn better it works for me and I just did a rough perimeter that’s wider then the roof
the rates are not as good as the video shows i restarted my game on hard mode and built it perfect and it seems other people are having issues too is there any way i can improve the spawn rates
My only complaint is the amount of materials needed. I haven’t tested it out yet though so I don’t know if it will be worth it. Also the location is great because my base is in an ocean.
just made this no creepers seem to spawn at all. we are on a local online map not a realm not sure if that effects it. or other stuff near by affect it to get creeper spawns or waht typical issues for no creeper spawns
so to build 8 total layers you will need 24 stacks of trapdoors, 800 buttons and 40 stacks of blocks i think you should also include the total amount instead of just per layer, i get why you would do that but its a bit confusing
Made 5 layers and got a stack and a half of gunpowder in 7-10 minutes, but the only problem i had was when I stand still at my afk spot, rates get decreased but are still amazing. As I’m typing this i hear another creeper go down the kill chamber every 3 seconds. This farm is EXQUISITE.
Weird, I even removed all the buttons and the trap doors on the ceiling and nothing will spawn. I wonder if building this over my base has anything to do with it somehow???

I built it over an ocean, followed the tutorial step by step, even building it 100 blocks up as stated in the tutorial. I built 5 levels of it, and still doesn’t work. So again don’t be arrogant, and maybe help to fix the problem instead.

This farm works, but slowly, 90% of the creepers that spawn just kinda, stand there, anyone know what i might have done wrong? PS5 version of bedrock if that matters
The farm worked but i was still having issues with spiders clogging it up. But i don't think it's BlazedMC's fault. I think the mechanics of the bedrock game changed.

mines 200+ blocks high built right, slabs all over the roof i went 15 out instead of 12 still got no spawns so i encased it in and nothin will spawn. zero not even other mobs. did something happen to this build and is there a fix?

Just spent hours creating this in my survival world and for some reason it only spawns spiders I have used carpets instead of buttons and checked it a million times I’m not missing a single trap door or carpet yet it keeps spawning spiders?
Mine isn't working. I did it exactly to spec, but all mob types (other than spider) continue to spawn. it's just that the skeletons, zombies, and witches get stuck where they spawn. So after an hour, things just straight up stop coming through. When I climb up to check, I see levels with a dozen non-creeper mob-types just standing there unable to move. What am I doing wrong? This is being done on a friend's realm if that makes a difference.
@@BlazedMCs Oh I'm stupid. I missed the trap doors on the very top level ceiling entirely. So the other mobs were spawning on the top level then getting stuck as they fell through. Thanks for the help!
For some reason when i build a platform 25 blocks away. I see creepers going down and down. But when i fly to the chest, no gunpowder has been added. But as soon as i go down to the chest. The gunpowder is pouring in the chest. Any ideas whats going on?
does this work if you just encase the levels in a big box? I mean it should work right? Its gonna keep the light level low and use less resources on a smaller level farm

Nope that shouldn’t be an issue. Make sure your game is on a hard, try AFKing at different spots, and if that doesn’t work, you can try downloading my world to see if you messed up somewhere.
anyone know why this farm doesn’t work in my world i just made. but works in my old one. i’ve made both farms over large lakes and the old one works fantastic but in my new world it doesn’t work (it was due to simulation chucks)
I remember building this exact farm last year and there was a bug that would allow spiders to spawn even when it was built correctly. Has that bug been patched so to only allow creepers to spawn?

Just close and open your game, stand in the area I was, and make sure the game is hard mode. I’m not good enough at editing to fake creeper spawns

After I watched another tutorial, I have realised CREEPERS DONT SPAWN IN RIVERS, I built the entire farm over a river…

4 stacks per hour with 4 layers. Built right on my base on land and spawn proofed with torches, am AFK 25 blocks away from 2nd layer works great

In the past I've noticed they stop spawning on platforms past 7 but maybe it changed

In 1.21, you need to replace all buttons with trapdoors

Bro i built it on the ground i put torches everywhere i have 1 layer i used wood and soul campfire but it still didnt work can sombody tell me why?

Did you miss any trap doors on the roof? The only way they could spawn is if some trapdoors on the roofs were not there.

I like to try in 10's. SO 10, 20 30 blocks away. Try 50 blocks above, or right at the bottom.
There's a limit because even though you can increase your render distance you cannot increase the distance that mobs can spawn
It’s called Simulation distance, which is the distance in which mobs (among other things) can spawn.

This is a first, lol. Try checking the hoppers, maybe they aren't all pointing into the chest. That is a really weird issue lol

IT may be slightly lower unless you spawn proof everywhere around.

The roof is to make sure that the farm is fully dark during daytime. You can try that but you will probably still need to do the roof

You must be within range of it (so whatever your simulation distance is)

Why show the same farm? This exact farm shown 3 times and all it really does is spawn spiders cause of the buttons.

Make sure there’s no light, bedrock has a lot of light glitches so try going in there on peaceful and place & break torches inside

Nope that shouldn’t be an issue. Make sure your game is on a hard, try AFKing at different spots, and if that doesn’t work, you can try downloading my world to see if you messed up somewhere.
anyone know why this farm doesn’t work in my world i just made. but works in my old one. i’ve made both farms over large lakes and the old one works fantastic but in my new world it doesn’t work (it was due to simulation chucks)
Sometimes bedrock is just weird. Try AFKing at a different spot, and maybe restart your game.

I remember building this exact farm last year and there was a bug that would allow spiders to spawn even when it was built correctly. Has that bug been patched so to only allow creepers to spawn?
