Wow, what a wonderful museum for a much loved book and movie that so many of us have enjoyed and loved. One thing for sure, we all have visited The Wonderful Wizard of Oz many times. Thanks Jordan!
The movie your parents make you watch once as a kid, and over 50 yrs later you can’t remember the number of times you have watched it. 🤣 Judy garland was an absolute doll that brought tears to my eyes the second she starting singing Somewhere over the Rainbow 🌈 but my favourite character was the Tin Man. ❤️Jodie 🇦🇺
you will hate me but only saw it once and never liked it except for the theme song it is still my fav song in the world I understand that some of the books were written in La Jolla at the Big HOtel there

I love all the murals and the Yellow Brick Road. It's so beautiful. The outside of the museum is so bright and colorful. You can't miss the place. I love all the little scenes. Great quilt. So many wonderful things to see. I'm glad they are on display for everyone to see. Thanks for bringing us along. Stay safe and take care.
WOW, I thought that would be just a roadside attraction. They did an AWESOME JOB putting that OZ Museum together. So much thought and detail put into there. The LION is also my Favorite Character as well. Like the Old Mill too, that was Cool to see. Thank You, Jordan !
Jordan, Another city to visit is Grand Rapids, Minnesota-Judy Garland's birthplace and first home. There is a BIG celebration yearly, also they also have a yellow brick road in the middle of town. The house is open to visitors. Glad the ruby slippers that were stolen 'suddenly' were returned to the city. Lots of pretty scenery(northwoods). I think you would enjoy it. Thanks for this grat vlog.😂
@@goanimateepsrobloxlover2019 Dude, what are you talking about? I gave a suggestion to Jordan to visit a town related to Judy Garland's life as a young girl. You are addressing an entirely different topic and don't bother me again with nonsense. Troll.
I'd also be interested in the Wizard of Oz Museum at Cape Canaveral, Florida. Oz was named because L. Frank Baum had a two-drawer filing cabinet. One day, he was trying to come up with a name for his enchanted land. He happened to glance over at the file. The top drawer. It was labeled "A - N." The second drawer was labeled "O -Z."
Always a great movie, just before I moved to Houston with my friend Sandra we went to New York, her Uncle was the Mattradee (sp) they were having an anniversary party for MGM and I meet Margaret Hamilton in the restroom, my friend squealed “ the wicked witch” and dropped her compact Margaret Hamilton laughed I was so shocked I didn’t even ask for an autograph, we were at the Algonquin Hotel so very cool 😎 ty Jordan for bringing me another happy memory💜🐾
Wow. I grew up watching the movie on TV in black and white before color TV"s. Then watched it turn to color when Dorothy opened the front door . One of my favorite movies of all time. TFS.
Great vlog of a great movie.Whenever my wife and I go anywhere I always say we`re not in Kansas anymore! I don`t know why, we live in the North of England!
I saw Ray Bolger (scarecrow) dance and sing, “ I’m Off to See the Wizard” on stage at the Sands Hotel, Vegas, 1954. The audience clapped and swooned to his performance! He certainly was very much loved!
Best v-log Jordan and JAH 💙may have to “hunker down” and watch the original Oz 🔮 on this stormy day!!! - fav scene in movie: horse of changing colour (they used different colour jell-o and painted it on a white horse. Filming was tricky as the horse kept trying to lick it off). A friend’s great g’parents were Lilliputiens. 💫 so much greatness… stay clear of fly’n’ monkeys 😉💚
Great Vlog Jordan!! 👍🏻💙 This is one OF My FAVORITE movies of all time!!! I watched it Every year when they showed on TV 📺 I STILL watch it I have it on dvd 📀 I still LOVE IT!! And I’m 63 yrs old I haven’t seen it in a while I think I will watch it today! Jah 🐾🐾💙💙 Follow the yellow brick road, we’re off to see the wizard the wonderful wizard of Oz!!! That was an AWESOME Museum. Love it! 👍🏻💙
My favorite part of the movie was when it turned to color from black and white. What a great museum. Thank you for taking us here. 😊 Somewhere Over the Rainbow is a wonderful classic song 🎵
THAT WAS FUN. I TOO LOVED THE LION. EVERYTIME I WATCHED IT I WANTED TO HUG HIM . I NEVER KNEW THERE WAS SUCH A MUSEUM. THANK YOU AND PLEASE GIVE JAH A HUG FOR ME.
Jordan, you picked another winner -- I'm a lifelong Oz fan since first seeing it on Easter Sunday 1975. My life was changed forever. Before the year was up, I knew all the names of all the actors in the movie, had an Oz-themed sixth birthday party, and have been collecting books and memorabilia for decades. When I was six, I had emergency surgery and was in traction for ten days, and I had Wizard of Oz dolls from home hanging in my hospital room while I healed. When I was seven, my first grade class put on a production of the Wizard of Oz that we took on the road to other elementary schools and a couple of nursing homes. I got to play Billie Burke's Glinda the Good Witch of the North as well as the "fourth" Dorothy who got to toss a bucket of tinsel on the Wicked Witch of the West. This movie played a huge part in my formative years. Not only did the film foster my love of the Oz books by L. Frank Baum, but it was the first movie I'd seen from Hollywood's Golden Age, which is pretty much my favorite era in American film. It's a Technicolor wonder, and really pioneered several forms of special effects and makeup artistry-- Adrian's costumes were unparalleled. This museum is a gem-- what an amazing collection! Again, ::thank you:: for taking us along on your adventures. 💚
Merci beaucoup! I adore The Wizard of OZ as well. I keep my ruby shoes pinned on my bathroom's light switch. You always leave a light on Jordon Love & light from Alberta, Canada.
Hi Jordan, oh my, what a fabulous Museum. Doesn't this just take you back to your childhood. What brilliant scenes they have created in there. Great vlog Jordan.
You find the best places to vlog! I remember watching it as a kid but haven’t in a long time! Now I do mention sayings or talk about the Tin Man! ( I feel like the Tin Man … need some oil for my joints! lol) We moved to Montana for ten years from the South … that was an experience! My Mother and I were shopping and she wanted something and they did have it ( stores different in merchandise from South to Northwest) I told her … Dorothy were not in Kansas anymore! Thank you Jordan for an amazing journey back to the Wizard of Oz! Smooches to JAH … my favorite guy! 🌈🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸
👍💯%💜💜💜👏👏👏👏👌. Growing up this was on every Halloween. I guess they considered it scary, those flying monkeys scared the begeez out of me. About 10 years ago I bought the colored version. I love the black and white version. I bought it because it had bonus footage and it said some interviews and bloopers. But guess what.i never watched it. I never took it out the package. Besides the colored version come on TV now. It's beautiful in color. But i grew up watching it in black and white. Mines DVD. Not VHS. 😁. That's pretty cool. I remember seeing Margaret on Mr. Rogers talking about being the bad witch. That movie scared me but when I seen her on Mr. Rogers, I felt much better! Lol!
Wamego has those Toto statues all over town, all decorated differently. Inside the Wamego hospital, the have a Toto decorated with scrubs and a stethoscope. During Covid, they put a mask on him, too. Also, the town's water tower is painted to look like the Wizard's hot air balloon. On the 4th of July, Wamego puts on a fireworks show that it the largest in the state of KS. It's spectacular!
That was awesome!! Thank you for sharing your visit . I never knew the Museum even existed. I hope I get to go. You mentioned Jack Haley’s eyes were irritated by the make-up. You can see that his eyes seem red in a couple of scenes. Fun. Where you going next
