Hi guys, The Canvas Tent shop are offering my viewers a 5% discount with the code 'KENTSURVIVAL' check em out. I hope you've enjoyed this video, one of the main reasons for getting the tent was to live off grid for a period.. I'd really like to know your thoughts if thats something you'd be interested in watching?
Great video.... very cosy set up. Loved some of the other videos you have done with log shelters...enjoying food seems to be a theme so that's great too. I have been living on a narrowboat for 6 months now, so I like my creature comforts but also its now become evident to me I have left house life behind me.
Wow. That tent was remarkable as was the stove and the food. I know what you mean about the wind... wind was the one thing that made me pack up and leave early once. It was overcast, damp & chilly but it was the constant strong wind that made me call it a day. Good video though. What a view! Once again, thanks for sharing.
hi Andy! Because of this video we recently purchased a beautiful 16ft bell tent... the last big tent we bought ripped in the 20 mph "wind storm" we just had... it was not quality enough to last one day erected.... and it became unusable at the very least.. the bell tent you showed all of us looked so good it wasnt hard to know which way to turn from our disappointment.. ANDY.... if you are ever in the states pleeeeease come to Bend Oregon to camp in our bell tent for free! ... we would be thrilled to give you the high desert tour. we live right in the old growth juniper forest known to locals as the badlands... with one old soldier being at least 1600 years old. . we eagerly await your next videos! thank you for all the hard work you do to help us old peeps learn to love tent camping again. i watch your videos everyday. . hugs and lots of luv... Nate and Ruth from Bend Oregon
I think is my favorite tent !!! The way put the bed woww!! And the stove . and oven, just amazing !! Thanks for your educational and great ideas for camping . Love that you show us different tents and camping equipment . Love your cooking ! I appreciate your good videos!!! 😊
If you fed the fire box with the right woods you could easily add a smoker box to that set-up and make it epic! . Imagine a rack of ribs smoked at 275 for a 6 hours with hickory.
If the ship hit the fan and you needed to survive and you have all this stuff before hand. If you use it to survive, isn't it still surviving. There are many different survival situations. Not all of them have to be started out with only a pocket knife. Describe the meaning of survival. Kent Please keep up the good vids.
Catching up on some of your older videos. You've been doing this for years. I love your videos. You edit them so beautifully and your cooking has improved immensely over the years. Just bought a mug tonight so I can enjoy a spot of tea while watching!
Anyone else smell the sausage rolls? I was convinced I did, then remembered 😬 ... oops, I'd put a frozen curry pie 🥧 in my oven and nearly forgot about it. What a stunning tent ⛺ and magical stove. I'm sure you're not only a bushcrafter but also a chef. Enjoy!
I AM 'LOVING THIS SETUP, TOO!' Fine to see the stove company introduce a stainless companion to the black ones. Beyond that, the stove is well-suited to the volume of that welcoming Bell Tent. White lets so much light in and it reflects light as well. It is great to have OWEN along: he is personable and, perhaps, you are a bit like me: company makes for a more comfortable camp. Many of us like to share our experiences with friends and 'more than one' makes for a feeling of security, as well. The 'detail' about scraping out the ash and the clear sense of how large the oven is helps so much!
Steven Bird yes, simon would be great to have at the same camp (along with owen!) maybe try reaching out to other 'tubers who do this kind of thing? like wiltshire man, funky prepper etc 😊
Wow Andy, you're glamping!! I love it! You deserve to be able to go in when you are done setting up camp and take your shoes off and be comfortable, we love it,more, more please!
Great tent! White tents are the best as they let in the maximum amount of light. Great stove! And that's a trial by fire with gale force winds. I'd say that is a very sturdy tent! Glad you packed up. Rain in the mix of that would have been miserable. I was REALLY impressed with how well that Cornish game hen cooked up. It was literally falling off the bone. Amazing oven. And for camping. (Okay - glamping.) Thanks.
Now that is a setup Andy mate. Holy crap, looked like a castle in there with the lights and stove. I was watching you eat your fry up as I was tucking into my breakfast of B & E lol. Brilliant.
You have the 4-m tent just like I do. Except your stove jack is on the other side of the tent. When I'm loading in the main pole, I pull the cap of the tent as close as I can to the opening so I don't have to climb in it I just put the top of the pole in it and then push straight in. Works for me. I thought you might want the tip.
Came across your channel and watched this video . Wow.. what a set up? Massive tent , great stove and cozy dinner. Want to go on such trip... now iam gonna watch all your videos..
I always wondered how well the in-line oven on those stoves worked. It looks like they do very well! Nice job, Andy. You made it look super easy with those pastries and chicken.
You alright ? Top notch content mate, like honestly me family including wee niece (4yo) watched your videos as well. Lots of love and positive vibes for you, your family and friends. Would’ve tried to camp when in Lancashire for studies but there’s always next time. Anyways have a nice one and protect yourself for corona.
That look so simple and easy to set up.. look very cozy and warm plus I liked that it was all closed and no bugs can go inside and you cooking on that oven made it look so easy ....thank you so much can't wait for next video 😊 ... hope it will be the same tent
Looking at one of those stoves……first time i have seen the double view…..very nice! Love the bell ten…..so much room! Thank you for sharing….your videos are always informative and uplifting!
Go visit Simon, and have him buzz 1/3 of that first pipe off with his band saw. As long as the pipe is still the length of your arm from elbow to knuckles, you can put any water pot that you would take with you, under the oven. And turn the damper key to the back side of the chimney pipe, so you don't have to reach over the fireplace to adjust it. Just some quick tips from me. Do as you wish! ATB Kent Survival. Oh yeah, on your tension ropes, pull the wood adjusters all the way out by the pegs, before you stake them in place. This gives you the most possible adjustment, and the biggest area to hold your tent down. As always have fun
I was looking at it and thinking but id be concerned about the amount of heat hitting the bottom of the oven.. it got quite red when the fire was at its hottest.. may speak to winner well and see what their thoughts are, im sure they test stuff a lot :)
Andy: Brilliant video as always... If I had a set up like this I probably could get the wife to start tent camping with me again...Wait, maybe I don't want to go that far...lol But some things to consider on a vacation type camp for a week or more, its sure nice to have heat in your tent. I am also looking into a raised bed as my disability makes it difficult to get up off the floor without help or support... i just saw a raised platform bed with inflatable mattress made by Coleman im going to look into. that tent also looked easier to set up than my big Coleman job... all in all a very nice set up for long term use! Can't wait for your next outing (and mine, getting cabin fever myself) ATB
I'm about to live in a 5m Avalon bell tent. Not for a week, like for a year or more... I'm very excited and equally terrified. Hope I learn enough I don't freeze when the winter comes to Taos.
Well impressed with both the tent and stove. Both meals looked really well cooked as well as the sausage rolls. I love how canvas tents are a lot warmer buy a bit of an earache to dry off, Look forward to your off grid adventures should you go ahead with them.
Thanks much for the video. I've been considering a tent setup like this (Bell canvas tent/Winnerwell stove). You've shown what its really going to be like. Loved the cooking bit too.
You had me at the sheets!! Ha ha! The mud is a badge of honor for your truck. 😉 love the stove, the oven, and windows. No pity on the heat as we rose to -30c by noon here today in Alberta! 🇨🇦 🌲
Andy thank you for sharing this video of your new tent and store and new table great views from the open of the tent take care Andy see you on the next video 👍
Hi Andy Great video shame about the weather..but loving the new stove it's an awesome piece of kit but I do have reservations about the bell tent.. probably great for the summer I would think 😀 Looking forward to your next adventure..👍👍😀

Interesting video. Those stoves are nice in the winter time. I figure it to be quite cumbersome to setup? Maybe place some thermostats in and outside the tent to give us a better idea of how the stove warms up the tent.

Holy smokes, Chicken and chips...when we used to camp in the sixties, it was a can of Irish stew on the primus, with a bottle of Cider..:)
Your vid’s are amazing, I have learned so much from you. Thank you Andy. 😆🏴🇺🇸
Your camping set up seems more comfortable than my bedroom.
and the channel still has a word ''survival'' in the title...
@@DancerLures Maybe ask for your money back?

Kept thinking fairy lights and then you obliged. Kids would think it magical. Love the tent and the stove. Oh! That stove. Must resist. Must resist 😳
What a set up...it's a home away from home...with an oven too. Wow!!!
The white interior looks very bushcraft chic.
Two kinds of sausage, AND bacon. I love this guy!
Thats a really nice way to live. And eat
Ahhhhhh, so it's a winnerwell. Stunning stove! I'm rather jealous now.

Wow! It's like you won the lottery but decided to keep camping. 👏🏼😂😂...Awesome palace and new stove brother. Very cool kits.
Beautiful location, i love open pasture land. Not great as far as firewood but no risk of trees falling on the tent either.

Just watching you enjoying that breakfast was making me hungry.
That tent reminds me of those you see in old Cartoons set down in the arab desert where you see a tent from the outside and a palace on the inside! xD
Talk about glamping that’s the best setup yet and love that new stove / oven
Hello Andy! Awesome video. I love the stove and tent!! I would love to see your off the grid adventure. Much love from Canada.

The ash-rake facility on this burner is a bloody good feature. Yet another awesome video👍👍👍❗️
Fabulous set up love the stove that it has windows to watch the flames. To bad you had to call it short but yes not good to pack a wet tent
Andy those sausage rolls looked delicious.cheers for the video.
Nice stove, especially that killer oven! The Cornish hen looked delicious! And I also put ketchup/catsup on my chips/fries!

Hi Kent, great tent, table, & stove ! I agree with you stove needs a shorter pipe between stove & oven. Ok lets have some fresh made bread & steak 😋 👍
bread was on the agenda but it'll have to wait till next time (which is soon!)

Interesting video. Those stoves are nice in the winter time. I figure it to be quite cumbersome to setup? Maybe place some thermostats in and outside the tent to give us a better idea of how the stove warms up the tent.
it was 0º c outside and right by stove was 30º... rest of shelter was between 15 and 20, quite comfortable
That shot at 14:38 is beautiful. You could loop that and turn it into an ASMR video
Now thats a tent Kent lol, love the bottom sheet too lol
