That was fortunately fairly convenient to be able to drop a dead standing tree right next to your tent setup. Doesn't get any easier than that being able to process a tree for firewood a mere few meters away! Nicely done!
unfortunate the tree was very wet and rotten. So I didn't use that for fire wood. That area was a lot of young trees so I had to go aways to get that wood you seen me drop. lol But I liked that spot by the river so I hard to work for it this time.
Another great JG Wilderness Productions video Josh! You choose some very scenic campsites to film, thank you for taking us along with you. Perhaps Mr/Ms Otter will make a cameo appearance soon. Keep those cameras rolling.
I absolutely love your videos nice and cozy good healthy meals a nice night sleep a nice warm tent totally beautiful you're one of the best thank you for these videos please keep them coming more often and I think right now I'm going to have a beer with you salute good luck
Sorry if this doubles up but I thought I left a comment lol, What a great spot to spend a night beside a creek. I bet that tent was warm with that stove, Thanks for sharing your outing. cheers!
hey Steelparker. Ya the creek was great and the tent was hot hot hot. Very nice to camp like this time to time. I still like doing the harder camps but nice to switch it up too.
Them tracks were weird. You folks in Canada have no shortage of wood 😅 . I did a camp like that and had snow in the beginning . It warmed drastically overnight and I quickly realized that I wasnt on the high ground. I had a mess. Enjoyed the video
Ya we have wood for days. Eeeek. Being in a puddle is not fun. Sometimes it's easy to overlook the land. Just like I did with that dead standing. It happens. Cheers
Great video enjoying camping in the snow season! I don't have beavers or otters here in the Arizona desert to give personal insight, but looking at Google Images, I'd lean towards otter tracks? We do have two Bass Pro Shops near Phoenix (in Glendale and Mesa, AZ) and they are both fun to visit/shop at. Cheers! Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL
Looks like that was Otter now that i'm home looking it up. Didn't have good cell reception in that area of the forest. This was my first time at Bass Pro and it was amazing on the details of the decor of the store. It was just fun being in there and made me want to go camping that night I got home. lol
You may know this but when “chopping” a dead tree down be aware that the top can snap off from the vibration and give you a bad day. 😳 I’ve seen the aftermath and have had close calls myself. Just check above once in a while. 😊
My friend, you are a person who loves life. You are a person who loves peace of mind and psychological calm. You are a person who loves to wander among trees, water and daylight. In the end, you will be a successful and strong person in this world.⚘❤
Those footprints are a Tiny Dragon. Most likely a Ice dragon baby. I would watch out though. Its probably old enough to leave its mother, but sometimes they stay near to keep an eye on the young dragon for a few months. Ice dragons can thrive in cold climates also and can hibernate for years after a good feed. I hope you are not the next food souce.
I do have a tarp for aorund the stove area, but it's move space/weight I didn't want to take in. Normally that mud wouldn't be an issue if it was a normal winter. Just to warm this year.
@@JoshuaGammon I’m sure you had your reason, I mean why worry about mud, your camping right. It looks like you enjoy it, and I’m happy you get to do it. No worries.
@@glendabrady9996 oh sorry. I see. Hard to get context in messages sometimes. Most of the time folks like to know why I did or didn't do something so I try to provide my in sight for learning. Lol
I never understood these tents with these huge air gaps at the bottom. Absolutely stupid. Whn the wind is howling like mad, all your heat is gone. It doesn’t make sense and they don’t work well in windy cold conditions.
Your generaly setup in the woods sheltered from the wind.. and the heat that wood stove puts off will keep you more then warm enough. To knock it til ya try it.
You probably got one of the warmest tents for Norway or Switzerland and you got enough lumber there to build a house. I guess you're not going to get cold tonight or ya but you have to stay up all night . To feed the far. because You're afraid to get in cold with set that will keep you warm. Probably anywhere in United States. Make sure you do some more firewood..
Your gear are to cumbersome and heavy for a hike...Your cooking gear is not good either (thin stainless steel). The water bottle is way too heavy for the purpose too (what double insulated stainless steel bottles for???) Overall, this is not a real hiking video.
Cool, you got a Finnish backpack! Always happy to see my country represented. Great vid, thank you Josh!
Oh ya. It's a great back pack. Built to last.

I'll have to go back to this spot again. Maybe when the water clams down I'll see them.
good to see ya out again - everytime you make food i get hungry lol - always a good meal - God Bless and see ya on the next one
Thanks dude. 😉
I love to see you camp it looks cozy😊
Yes this was a great camping trip. Lots of fun.
Awesome video! Loved it. Makes me want to go camping right now
Get out there.
Amazing view and the calming sounds of the water make this video amazing. Great job!
Glad you enjoyed it! Perez. Snows mostly got now. Might be the end to snow camping
I really like those hot tents! I'll have to think about getting one😁
Great spot to camp and enjoy the peacefulness of nature😀

Simple but tasty meals are the best. I like the idea of putting it in hamburger 🍔. Have a good one
All the modern amenities of being a good chef enjoy that breakfast job well done
Yes, thank you
Definitely a river otter!
Thanks. 👍. Thats what it sounds like
No it’s Big Foot
@salve Sweetie here....The sounds of the flowing water is soo Relaxing...

Wow.. nice snow camping Joshua
Thanks. It was a fun trip
Wow. I like trip. I mean that trip😂
love that tent setup! Cheers
Thank Kirk. It's a nice little simple setup
I've seen porcupines make those kind of ruts, too.
But, going to the river, I'm guessing a beaver.
Some said an otter. I have seen them around so I'm thinking that. I didn't see beaver chew around
Good morning have a great day😊 your handsome too
Thanks and hope you have a great day.
Nice camp setup you have !!! I enjoyed the video, nice video editing... lots of work ! But very nice for sure ! Thanks ...Alan 🇨🇱

Another great camp. That might have been an otter.
Yes it was, I found out later. 👍🔥
Very nice and good .friend

Nice camping

Thanks so much.
Enjoyed the video very much looks like you quite enjoyed the trip
ya Mark the trip was really great and fun. Something about this type of tent if fun too.
Good video
Glad you enjoyed
즐거운 겨울 캠핑ㅡㅡ굿
I did,
I will,
peace to you too Josh.!
Cheers Scott 👍
I think I would bring a plastic flooring of some kind. Fire and food looked good!
There is a floor with this tent but I wanted to save weight and didn't think I was going to need it. my bad.
I have a lot ofKnorr packets like you use,and i make one with a hamburg or other things for a meal(i make enough for my neighbors too!
Spongy wood gives moist consistent heat. Not as an active fuel, but a reserve source. All your wood is wet, anyhow.
Yes the woods in this area wasn't great as it rained a few days before. Sometime you get what you get in the bush.
Nice Video Joshua 🎉
Thanks! 😃
Thank you Josh i love the vidéos
Man great video thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much
Nice video , yiup like you say nice store the bass pro shop end did you go at the mec too , two place that cost allot lol😂
Yeah I did MEC years ago. That's an old bag now but still going strong.
Love the video what tent is that looks great!
Tent is from Pomoly
That looks like a river to try your luck in.
Glad to see you having fun buddy you need to do a little bit more than what you're doing on the video though
Thanks for the tip
Definitely Perry the platypus 😅

HAHAHA.... I love this comment. Thanks so much.
I think it was an otter. They like to slide on their bellies as they run over land in the snow.
That's what most of you are saying. I think your right.
Is this the locomotive 2 or 3 man version?
This is the 1-2 person tent
Спасибо, очень интересно!
Missed your videos JG!
Miss camping. Lol. I'll try to get out again soon. Before the bugs come. 😬
Its an otter !
Aaaaahh.... Good call. I didn't think a breaver would swim in them currents.
Why did you not put a tarp on the ground inside your tent. Crazy. Mud puddle of course

Awesome
Is it your land? I don’t think it is legal to cut down a tree if you don’t own the property.
No need to worries. I'm ok on this land.
My guess is Beaver or platypus made those tracks.
Australia is the only place for a platypus fyi
what is the brand of that nice stove ?
Stove and tent are from Pomoly
@@JoshuaGammon thanks
Is that an instant tent?
Just three poles and it's up. Not a instant tent.
Why build a fire and leave the door open?
It was to hot
Lol you have to be in the maritimes..
I sure am. 😂

Your generaly setup in the woods sheltered from the wind.. and the heat that wood stove puts off will keep you more then warm enough. To knock it til ya try it.
The heat raises so its not going out the bottom. You can pack snow around outside bottom to keep wind from coming in if it's that bad.
It’s hard to take someone seriously who puts a face cut in a tree that’s 15’ tall and leaning the way it needs to go… 🤦♂️
Thanks for the tip ryan.
