I love that you record your voice-over separately.
Thanks Rachel for taking the time to do this,it’s much appreciated.
Thank you for an excellent tutorial and for refreshing my memory, Rachael😊
So pleased you have done this tutorial after I asked for it. I love these top tip Tuesday vlogs Rachel.
Some really good tips here Rachel, especially the pressing on the tailors ham. Thank you 😊
Great tutorial! Thanks!
The hidden bias method is also great for a curved shirt hem. Use a contrasting fabric for a secret pop of color on the inside.
Really enjoy these videos BUT they come about a week too late for me 🤪. The pocket one was amazing and after I had already done an average in seam pocket I made the same outfit again using different fabric and your method and what a difference. Then last week I made a top which required bias binding on neck and armhole. The instructions on pattern were not great so had to google, which was fine, and now you have put a video out on it but boy I wish I had this video to watch last week 🤣😂😁😆. Eventually I will tackle an invisible zip and thankfully your video is available for me to watch.
Keep doing them please as they are so so useful for the beginners like me who are venturing out to more complex makes
And thank you
Excellent tutorial thanks. I was struggling with the instructions for a mitred corner on a blouse recently and you came to the rescue with a straight forward set of instructions. Good luck with your fabric de stash.
E.xcellent tutorial. Thank you Rachel. Enjoy your holiday .🥰
Another great tutorial Rachel, I am saving all these for reference. I need to get an edge foot. Thank you so much. Have a great holiday.
Just love these tutorials Rachel so thank you so much 😊
Just brilliant tutorials Rachel - just what we all need to see xxx
Thank you so much Rachel, you are great teacher
I regularly use the concealed version to replace facings, but just learned how to do the first option - good to know both options😊. I just want to add for viewers, if you have a wider seam allowance for armhole or neck facing (like 1.5cm or 5/8’s of an inch), simply sew in a basting stitch along the seam allowance, and use this to guide the fold of the bias binding, following on with the rest of Rachel’s instructions.
Thank you for all of the helpful tutorials Rachel!! It help so much. I appreciate the time and effort it take to put these videos together ❤
Your hair looks fabulous today!!
Thank you for these tutorials Rachel, everyone I’ve learnt something new and I’ve been seeing for 50+ years. Will definately use the edge foot next time . Enjoy your holiday xx
Thankyou !! Best explanation I’ve seen ❤
Thanks Rachel, very helpful 🐾🐾
Oh my goodness Rachel , these are honestly the BEST tutorials I have ever seen thank you so much . I have a saved box called Rachel tutorials that they are all going in 😊❤
Me too!
Thanks for sharing Rachel. 🍓🧶🌈💙
Thank so you much again, Rachel! I must dig out my edging foot, you made it all look so easy 😊. It’s my birthday next month so a tailor’s ham will be something I definitely ask for. It gives a lovely smooth finish.
Twig and Tale have a free pattern for a tailor's ham. I think it will be my next make.
@@silverfireUK thanks, I’ll take a look at the pattern!
Thank you very much!! Learnt very valuable tips!!XXX👍👍👍
Another very useful tutorial and I agree that Sam's tutorial for continuous bias binding is great, it's amazing how much tape you can get from a small piece of fabric. Have a Great Holiday ☺
So good of you to do these Rachel. I've messed up so many bindings that spoil the finished garment, so next time it should be spot on! 😊
Another smashing tutorial Rachel. Thankyou 😊 Have a lovely holiday x
I love your tutorials, great explanation and a no nonsense attitude that is gain trough experience. Thank you for this video!
What a great tutorial. Thank you Rachel for taking the time to do this tutorial. I will certainly try the edge foot. Keep those tutorials coming. Really enjoying them. Have a wonderful time with family. 😊
Great tutorial! Clipping the seams in the curves before understitching can also help prevent any wrinkles, especially if the armhole has been stay stitched.
Excellent, thank you Rachel, I have never used my edge foot like you will try next time.
Another great tutorial Rachel, I have never used my edging foot but I will now. Have a lovely family holiday x
Thank you for a fantastic video, from the edge stitching foot, ironing before you sew to the finished product
Perfect timing. I’m about to make a top with bias armholes … for my cruise 😊 thank you
Thank you very much!!! Learnt very valuable tips!!! xXXX👍👍👍
Great video. I am interested in how to join the bias binding and you made it look easy.
Thank you Rachael!
Brilliant tutorial, thank you. Would you clip the edges of the concealed version to make turning easier and help it mould and flattem?
Fab tutorial as always ❤
Good video!
You look so beautiful, Rachel!
